We've recently started watching this show, seems to hold the affection of nearly 4 year old. And it has a great theme tune.

Surprised to see several comments describing it as gender neutral - I was disappointed to see yet another main female character dressed in pink!

My little boy is 2.5

2.What is your overall summary of the new TV show?

1.What are the ages of your DCs that watched Digby Dragon?
DSS is 4.5 y/o

2.What is your overall summary of the new TV show?
Its what I would define a nice calm show - its the kind of thing that I would come and sit down and watch with him, the relationships between the characters are great, its much nicer and visually easier to look at than say Dora or Umizoomi.

3.What was your DCs favourite part of the programme? Who was their favourite character?
When Digby started to fly, he got real excitemeant from that and seemed far more engaged than with other programmes. He really liked Digby (he loves dinosaurs and dragons) but he also loved Chips

4.Out of 5, how many stars would you give Digby Dragon? How many would your DC give it?
I would give it 4.5 - nearly perfect but the diction could have been a little clearer - so great that regional accents were used, I think DSS would have loved a Brummie dragon though! DSS said 5 and he gets really excited by the adverts on TV for it now.

5.If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Digby Dragon? Why?
Its really educational about friendships, really lovable characters, lovely animation.

We liked it! Perfect length of programme to keep her attention and a good mix of characters. She says "it's her new favourite show"

I would give it 4. DD gives it 5 stars!

5.If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Digby Dragon? Why?

Yes - it's a pleasant show with interesting storylines and characters. Animation is done very well. I'm quite happy to sit and watch with her unlike a lot of children's tv.

The activity pack didn't hold her interest for long, but that is typical with DD for anything like that. She did the maze and used the stickers, but isn't a big fan of colouring books.

1.What are the ages of your DCs that watched Digby Dragon?
Daughter. Aged 4.

2.What is your overall summary of the new TV show?
1st impressions I thought the characters look very cute. Not overly annoying like alot of tv shows. Nice little stories.

3.What was your DCs favourite part of the programme? Who was their favourite character?
She didn't seem to have a favorite part as such. Her favorite character is digby. She loves the mask.

4.Out of 5, how many stars would you give Digby Dragon? How many would your DC give it?
3 - 4

5.If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Digby Dragon? Why?
I personally liked the programme and my daughter thought it was ok but it didn't hold her attention like other tv shows. (Her current favorite is pj masks so quite different)
I would recommend this but probably not to children who like similar shows to my daughter. She did however love the activity pack.

GruffaloPants · 11/08/2016 17:18

Thanks for this - DD loved it. My plan was to,occupy her with the pack while heavily pregnant, it turned out that she had something to take to her grandparents while I was in hospital having DD2 early. It was nice for her to,have something to bring in and show me, and share, at visits.

DD is 5.

I like Digby Dragon. The production has a nice, slow pace to it, it reminds me of my own childhood favourites such as Chorlton and the Wheelies and The Clangers. The voice actors are great.

DD loves everyone, but especially Digby. She likes that he has a Scottish accent, like her. She likes tying out the things he does in the different episodes, and talking about how he feels. She likes him trying to fly.

DD would give Digby "twenty one and a thousand fifty" stars. So, a lot!

I would recommend Digby for all of the above reasons, particularly the unhurried pace and good quality of production.

DD's final verdict: SmileCakeStarFootballFlowersArchers
