This thread is for the 500 MNers who've been trying out baby-dry New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies with their baby. Below are some questions to get you started but please feel free to add other comments too!

Here is what they’ve got to say: "Night-time is a busy time for your baby – and those precious hours of Golden Sleepsleep aren’t just important for their mood, but development, too! With experts believing that wetness may impact your little one’s sleep, their overnight nappy needs to work as hard as possible; introducing New Pampers Baby-Dry with 3 Absorbing Channels! Pampers are launching an upgrade to UK parents’ #1 nappy choice: New Pampers Baby-Dry feature a revolutionary nappy design with 3 Absorbing Channels, that distribute wetness more evenly, and Micro Pearls™ that lock it away. For up to 12 hours of Golden Sleep and less wet bulk in the morning! Pampers Baby-Dry have also been proven to be up to 2x drier than ordinary nappies; so, with babies waking up as dry in the morning as the night before you’ll be left asking 'where did the pee go?'"

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.

20 months, size 4

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?

They were pretty good with no leaks. The sizing felt a bit snug compared to our usual (own brand Tesco). There wasn't much overlap at the top when putting it on and it didn't look very secure. That said, it didn't fall off so it must have been fine.

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?

Yes. DD seemed to sleep as well as normal with them.

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?

No. They were fine, but no better/different than my normal cheaper own brand nappies.

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?

I hadn't noticed them and hadn't realised noticed any difference in how bulky they were. If anything, because the sizing seemed a bit small, it did seem like it was hanging off a bit by morning.

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?

If they were on special offer or if I couldn't get my usual Tesco nappies, then I might, but I wouldn't choose to normally given the cost, (18p each compared to 9p).

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I might do. They were fine but definitely more expensive than our normal own brand and no better.

Natsai1 · 21/06/2016 19:09

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.
11months size 4

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
They were ok but not much difference to my regular brand. I liked that they were thin and still quite absorbent. Ans as with all pampers nappies they were soft. I also noticed that the nappies were a bit snug for the recommended weight even at the lower end of the weight range as my son is. Would recommend reviewing this.

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why? I probably wouldn't as it didn't live up to the claims. My son still needed a change in the night as he wees a lot. No different to my regular. Left him damp rather than dry.

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
No. I saw no difference when compared to my regular brand.

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
Yes I dis but it was mainly towards the front of the nappy and not towards the back. It wasn't as bulky sometimes, depends on how much my son had to drink in the night.

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
Only on special deals as pampers are considerably more expensive than my usual brand. Why spend so much when you can get the just as good a quality cheaper.

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not? I would recommend for daytime use and if on sale as most mothers I know are happy using alternatives that are cheaper.

vickyors · 21/06/2016 19:14

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.
4 months, size 3.
2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
They were fine for when she slept on her back, but she is a front sleeper by preference, and they leaked horribly up her front after a night of sleep.
3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
Unfortunately not, and I still haven't found a brand that help. I would recommend them for a back sleeping baby, as during daytime they did keep her dry and were less 'bulky' than other nappies feel.
4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
No.
5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
No. In fact, the opposite. I found that in the morning the front was distinctly more bulky than the back, and, as I said before, she needed everything changing as she was wet through, even her sleeping bag.
6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
I might try a larger size, but probably not.
7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
They are very slim and they feel great when empty, so for a back sleeper, yes.

cavalo · 21/06/2016 19:18

Yes, they handled overnights well.
4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
Certainly as good as others.
5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
Not particularly.
6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
Yes
7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, they work well for children who still need nappies overnight.

billybear · 21/06/2016 19:22

I already use Baby-Dry and these were noticeably thinner than the ones I already had in.

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?

It depends on whether the baby has a night feed. My daughter occasionally still has milk in the night and when she did she still leaked through but on the nights she slept through she was still dry

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?

No, I have gone back to using Pampers Simply Dry on a night as they seem to stay dry for longer

Yes

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

catgirl2 · 21/06/2016 19:34

Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.

Yes, my husband also commented unprompted that he found them a lot less bulky when wet, less 'saggy'. 5. Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again? Yes but normally buy on offer
  1. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I would if it came up in conversation. I am still motivated by cost however so would also recommend some other nappies that are lower priced.

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.
22 months, size 4

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
OK, there was a really strong smell which really put me off. They are slim though which is good for in my handbag!

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
He was dry but is in other nappies too, so based on price I wouldn't recommend but they do do what they are supposed to.

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
Not the best, no. About the same as other brands I've used.

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
I didn't notice any difference from any other brand, no.

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
No, very unlikely.

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
No, probably not. They are much more expensive than other brands and I didn't notice any difference to justify the cost. Also the smell is really strong and off putting.

SandwichYum · 21/06/2016 19:44

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
Not at the price, my usual own brand choice peforms just as well and doesn't smell

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
No because of the price and that the perfomance is no different to other far cheaper nappies

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
See above
5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?

Serafinaaa · 21/06/2016 19:46

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.

15 months, size 5

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?

Very thin but just as absorbent as other nappies. Was worried that padding didn't come up very high at back but this didn't seem to be a problem. No nappy rash or reactions. No leaks overnight. Good nappies.

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?

Yes, we had no leaks overnight. My son is a tummy sleeper too.

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?

They were good but I've found normal baby dry and even the baby dry pull ups to also be good at night.

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?

The nappy was still quite heavy and bulky at the front in the morning.

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?

If the price was reasonable ie not too much more than supermarket brands.

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I would recommend.

sleepyMe12 · 21/06/2016 19:47
Son is 8months and size 4 nappies.

Slim and cute designs but came up very small.

Yes/no still damp and a few leaks.

No they leaked.

No

I would if they was on a very good offer and would buy a couple of sizes up.

I would recommend but suggest getting a bigger size.

angryangryyoungwoman · 21/06/2016 19:47

Oops, we tried size 5, which seemed smaller than other brands in the same size.

BreadSnakeFridayDog · 21/06/2016 19:47

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received. 15 months, size 4

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? I usually use Pampers and tbh I didn't really see any difference in these ones. They're absorbent and soft, pictures are cute and the tabs work well. I'm not sure I could rate them as "improved" though.

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why? Our baby stayed dry all night so yes. No problems with rashes.

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep? Only as far as our baby is concerned. He's not a very heavy wetter at night though.

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one? Yes, they didn't feel bulky at all after 12 hours wear which is quite impressive

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again? Yes, as we usually buy pampers anyway

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not? I'd recommend other parents to try them if they hadn't before, I know a few parents who are reluctant to pay the higher price but complain of leakage in other brands

Serafinaaa · 21/06/2016 19:49

Forgot to add picture comparison. Old baby dry at top and new at bottom.

xtoniax · 21/06/2016 19:54

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received?
9 weeks old and size 3

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
I think they are good fitting and nice patterns on them. They are good nappies but overall not much different to other nappies.

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
No. I actually found that it was the same or maybe even worse than Aldi's Mamia nappies for overnight dryness.

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
Well my little girl isn't sleeping through yet but I found that she seemed to be fuller quicker in pampers.

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
No. The nappies seemed worse than I remembered

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
Probably not, they are double the price and not as effective as the Mamia ones I usually buy.

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
No. I still think Pampers are over priced when I can get better nappies at a cheaper price.

jojosprules · 21/06/2016 20:03

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received

Skye is 10 months old wearing size 3

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?

I love them as she's now crawling they allow her more movement then the newborn style pampers

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?

I would recommend them as Skye goes to bed at 7 and normally wakes up any time between 6 and 6:30am. The nappy never leaks no matter how wet she is and it doesn't go lumpy either. All the wet seems to distribute evenly across the whole nappy and her skin doesn't feel that damp considering how long she has the nappy on.

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?

I have tried a number of different brands and have found pampers the best by far.

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?

Yes as I mentioned above there are no lumpy bits and it seems to keep the moisture away from her skin.

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?

Yes I already have!!Grin

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I definitely would. Again as mentioned above I have tried a lot of different brands and with a couple Skye started to get nappy rash which is really not like her. With pampers baby dry she has only had nappy rash twice and both times were due to her teeth coming through rather than the nappies themselves. I love these and will never use any other nappy for as long as she's wearing them!!!

  1. He’s 14 months and we received size 4.
  2. I was really impressed with the Pampers nappies.
  3. I would definitely recommend them; they kept my baby dry at night (he does still have one change at night though!).
  4. Pampers Baby-Dry were just as good as the nappies we usually buy (Sainsbury’s) at keeping baby dry at night, and a bit thinner so it felt like they had more flexibility. We were given some Pampers Baby Dry by a friend for our first child and these were a lot better then I remember and seemed much better quality.
  5. I didn’t notice a less wet bulk nappy, but the nappies did feel thinner and more comfortable than our normal nappies, without any loss of protection.
  6. Yes I would buy Pampers Baby-Dry again; only price would stop me, as I think they are slightly more expensive per nappy than our regular brand.
  7. I would definitely recommend them to other parents, they had a lot of flexibility and they kept my baby dry!
BooRooandTiggerToo · 21/06/2016 20:16
  1. 6 months / Size 3
  2. Felt soft to the touch and was easy to put on with straps that stayed in place (even when baby was wriggling)
  3. Bottom felt dry even with a full nappy the following morning, with no redness
  4. Yes
  5. Nappy didn't feel as bulky in the morning despite being on for 12 hours
  6. Yes
  7. I'd recommend to my friends who are just about to become mums for the first time and let them know about keeping baby's bottom dry overnight
BrickInTheWall · 21/06/2016 20:16

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received. 22 month. Size 5
2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? They are much thinner and softer than other nappies. However I found them to be very small fitting.. my son is not at the maximum weight range but they only just fitted.
3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why? Unfortunately not. In the time we were testing them, perhaps a week, we had two leakages, one small one huge.
4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep? My son dowsnt usually wake because of a wet nappy and he didnt while testing these. I dont thibk they could go 12 hours though. He goes to bed at 7.30 and is always up at 6 and the nappy was definitely very wet.
5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one? I do actually think they were less bulky than the ones we usually buy. Even the two times they leaked the nappy wasnt huge making me think it was more ill fitting.
6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again? I would try them in a 5+ or 6 if they are available.
7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not? I would recommend them as softer less bulky nappies but would advise that I found them not true to size.

WingingItAlways · 21/06/2016 20:22

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.
11 months, size 4 nappies
2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
Seemed a lot thinner in hand, which was nice as they took up less room in the changing bag. Certainly less bulky when on. Seemed more absorbent than other nappies I have used.
3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
Yes, they have worked well with my son, and previously used them with my daughter. Pampers are a trusted brand with a lot of mums.
4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
Was definitely very absorbent throughout the night, no leaking at all.
5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
Yes, the little bulk there is is more spread out, so less dangling between the legs when wet.
6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
