This thread is for the 500 MNers who've been trying out baby-dry New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies with their baby. Below are some questions to get you started but please feel free to add other comments too!

Here is what they’ve got to say: "Night-time is a busy time for your baby – and those precious hours of Golden Sleepsleep aren’t just important for their mood, but development, too! With experts believing that wetness may impact your little one’s sleep, their overnight nappy needs to work as hard as possible; introducing New Pampers Baby-Dry with 3 Absorbing Channels! Pampers are launching an upgrade to UK parents’ #1 nappy choice: New Pampers Baby-Dry feature a revolutionary nappy design with 3 Absorbing Channels, that distribute wetness more evenly, and Micro Pearls™ that lock it away. For up to 12 hours of Golden Sleep and less wet bulk in the morning! Pampers Baby-Dry have also been proven to be up to 2x drier than ordinary nappies; so, with babies waking up as dry in the morning as the night before you’ll be left asking 'where did the pee go?'"

StrawberryLeaf · 25/06/2016 20:54

Was no better than my usual aldi brand
5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
Yes, I did actually notice less bulk and hadn't realised it was a feature! That was good

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
Yes, although they would have to be comparable in price to my usual brand
7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes would recommend, they felt soft and kept my baby dry all night

caramelchaos · 25/06/2016 22:22

  6. Yes
  7. Yes. They were good quality, absorbent and fitted well

  3. Kept him dry 6/7 nights. Major leak one night. Maybe needed a bigger size??
4.comparable to other nappies we've used.

leanneth · 26/06/2016 08:39

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.
7 months, size 3

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
They felt very soft and thin. They did leak a few times though. It seemed a smaller size than my usual brand. Also, as previously mentioned, the yellow dots round the legs of the nappy are very annoying in that it looks like breastfed baby poo has leaked out! That fooled me a few times!

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?

They leaked so I'm afraid nit

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?

No, sorry.

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?

No.

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?

They would be ok for the daytime during frequent changes but they have not persuaded me to change from my usual nappies. These are also more expensive than my usual nappies so probably wouldn't buy unless they were on offer and I couldn't get to my usual shop.

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Probably not. More expensive but no better performance than my usual brand

Wend1 · 26/06/2016 12:05

Tested size 5 with my 17 month old

Really absorbent nappies that fitted really well

Absolutely would recommend. My baby moves around a lot during night time but these nappies stayed on perfectly and there were no leaks at all

Definitely. Pampers are the only nappies I use and these ones do a great job, not disturbing my child during a 12 hour sleep, and being incredibly full in the morning with no sign of any nappy rash or irritation.

No I didn't notice this quite so much as although my child moves around a lot in the night, she tends to stay on her front for the majority of this time and so always seems to be much more full at the front than anywhere else.

Yes, would definitely buy again

Yes, would definitely recommend.

Catpawprint · 26/06/2016 15:34

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.

Age 2, size 4

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?

Very good. Coped with an overnight enormawee or two, looked slim, didn't irritate her bum

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?

No leaks, no irritation, lasted 12 hours every time

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?

No, because there are other equally good nappies out there which may be cheaper.

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?

Yes, much less sagging

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?

yes I would

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

They do what they say on the tin, they are slim under clothes and didn't irritate her bottom, and didn't shed crystals after 14 hours overnight

Notthisnotthat · 26/06/2016 18:37
  1. Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received. Size 4
  2. What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Really positive, no leaks and managed to cope well with teething poos.
  1. Would you recommend New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why? Yes, I would recommend, no need to chance overnight and even with a wriggly baby there were no leaks.
  1. New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one? I'm not sure I noticed this to be honest, my baby doesn't consume a lot of fluid so never has very bulky nappies anyway.

5. Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
I will especially if they are offer.

  1. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not? I would recommend, they are a good fit from a well known brand, well made and didn't cause any rashes or redness. Despite teething we didn't need to use a barrier cream.
iamcalledemma · 26/06/2016 19:28

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.
18 months - size 4.

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
Seem to work well, thinner and he doesn't have such a big nappy bum when wearing them. No leaks or issues.

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
Yes if it came up, they performed well overnight with no leaks and didn't seem overly bulky.

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
Well, they were just as good as other brands I've used. If it doesn't leak then it's a good nappy for me, but perhaps the extra cost might tip it in another brands direction.

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?

Yes, I noticed the different channels that bulked up under wetness and it did seem to reduce bulk. I've never really found bulk too much of a problem but I guess it's working to distribute the wetness so it doesn't leak too much,

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?

Yes, but only if my other cheaper brands that I use weren't available or if on offer.

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, I would recommend, they definitely do the job well, I know some of my friends use Pampers anyway and sure they will appreciate the new features.

Nectarines · 26/06/2016 19:31

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.

My son is four months old and tested size 3.

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?

I liked how 'slim' the nappies were.

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?

Yes. Had no leaks at all.

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?

Yes. No leaks, great fit and my boy seemed comfortable.

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?

Yes. I didn't need to change him in the night. He didn't wake up uncomfortable.

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?

Yes if they weren't too expensive.

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Definitely, for long lasting dryness.

Spirael · 26/06/2016 19:43

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.
25 months, size 5 nappies.

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
They were good. They fitted well and we didn't have any problems with her waking up overnight and complaining about her nappy.

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
I would recommend them. In particular, for the fit. DH and I seem to produce scrawny children and Pampers are one of the few brands of nappies that don't gape at the legs and cause leaks.

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
For my children, yes. Couldn't say for different shaped children!

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
I didn't particularly notice any difference, but then our usual nappies are Pampers.

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
Yes, but only if they came in 'pants' fit, as DD2 is of an age now where we're starting to look at toilet training.

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, particularly if they're having problems with the fit around the legs with other nappies. Also, because the absorbency was great.

confusedofengland · 26/06/2016 20:15

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.
DS3 is 2 years 4 months. We received the size 5 nappy.
2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
I thought the nappies were very slim & compact & generally very efficient at keeping my toddler dry (although they leaked on one occasion).
3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why? Overall I would recommend them for a dry night's sleep, as they kept my child mostly dry except for one night when the nappy leaked after 9 hours or so, meaning he woke up early.
4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep? I would say it is on a par with other nappies I have tried (supermarket own brand)
5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one? Yes, I did notice that the nappies were less bulky.
6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again? It depends on the price. If they were the same price or cheaper I would buy them. However, I felt the performance was the same as other nappies & the only benefit was their slim fitting, which is not enough to make me switch if they are more expensive.
7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not? I might recommend them if the parents were looking for slim nappies, as I liked this aspect of Pampers Baby-Dry.

peakypie · 26/06/2016 20:16

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.
2 and a half. Size 5

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
Much thinner than our usual nappies, very soft, nice design. However the size was definitely smaller than our usual brand (tescos), so looked a bit tight.

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
Yes I would overall, but there were a few instances where my son felt a bit damp after wearing these nappies, perhaps due to the tighter fit?

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
Am currently happy with our usual night time nappies, so can't say that Pampers are the best, but probably one of the best.

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
Yes, they definitely didn't feel/look as bulky after long periods of wear, which is pretty amazing.

6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
If they were on offer and I could get a larger size.

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes if they could afford to buy them. Would sugget getting a size larger than they needed though.

Thanks for the opportunity to try these!

minijoeyjojo · 26/06/2016 20:39

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received. 8 months, size 4
2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? I really liked them, very thin, soft and absorbent
3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why? Absolutely, they seem to absorb everything very well without too much bulk
4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep? Yes
5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one? Yes I did notice the more even distribution, it was still more bulky at the front but definitely better distributed than the old pampers
6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again? Yes, although pricing will be a factor in how many I buy
7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not? I would definitely recommend them to other parents, I havent found another nappy that absorbs as well and are as soft and supple as pampers

joleyn · 26/06/2016 20:53

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.
4 month old twins - size 3

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
Very good. Kept both babies comfortable overnight and no leaks whikst using them.

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
Yes. Both babies seemed comfortable and began sleeping all the way through whilst wearing them. No leaks overnight.

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
Not necessarily the best but as good as other brands and definitely a lot better than some.

5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
They did seem to be less bulky than some nappies I have used.
6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
I would if they were on offer.

7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I would.

Bails2014 · 27/06/2016 08:41

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.
Age 20 months, size 5
2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
They seem like fairly standard nappies, on a plus point they seem to have lowered where the absorbent stripe comes up to at the front, with the old style Pampers we used to get a lot of seeping from the top of the strip into pajamas where they would roll back when full, this doesn't seem to happen with the new design but I have noticed that they are quite saggy when relatively full, so look as if they are hanging low round the underside if walking around without trousers on (fairly common in our house)
3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why? We haven't had any problems at night with the new design so I would recommend them.
4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep? At the moment yes, although Ocado own brand come a close second. Originally I used to have to use a pull up over the top of a Baby Dry to stop them leaking at the front by his stomach.
5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one? No, I felt that they were more bulky than before and that it hung low and swung between his legs
6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again? Probably, although I quite like the Pampers pant style nappies as they're easy to get on cheeky toddlers that keep running off.
7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not? I would recommend them for night but I don't like the way they hang for day time,

confusedofengland · 27/06/2016 09:49

Is anybody else having trouble submitting their review on the Pampers website? I can't seem to login Hmm

oddsockfairy · 27/06/2016 10:19

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.
Age 22 months, size 5
2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
We usually use Pampers Baby Dry, and these seemed thinner - though couldn't see many other differences (which is no bad thing as I love P Baby Dry nappies as they are!)
3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
We had a couple of leaks with the new Baby Dry, but on the whole I would recommend as these were one offs.
4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
Yes - they perform so much better than any of the supermarket own brands I have tried. I always end up switching back to BabyDry!
5 New Pampers Baby-Dry feature 3 Absorbing Channels, which distribute wetness more evenly, for less wet bulk in the morning. Did you notice this benefit with your little one?
Yes - definitely less 'bum-bulge'. Important for an active toddler.
6 Would you buy New Pampers Baby-Dry again?
Yes, though I also like the old version so if there was a price difference I would stick to the original.
7 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, despite occasionally switching to own-brand nappies, I always end up going back to Pampers for the performance.

SnotGoblin · 27/06/2016 10:28

1 Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you received.
My baby is 13 months old, wearing size 5.

2 What was your overall impression of New Pampers Baby-Dry nappies?
They are so thin. How are they going to hold anything let along a lot of overnight wee?

3 Would you recommend new Pampers Baby-Dry for a dry night’s sleep? If so, why?
Yes I would, they did the job. Baby was dry and somehow there were no leaks.

4 Would you say new Pampers Baby-Dry is the best for a dry night’s sleep?
