This is the feedback thread for the 500 Mumsnetters who tested Comfort Pure Ultra Concentrate.

Here’s what Comfort has to say: “We are pleased to launch the NEW Comfort Pure Ultra Concentrate. Following our fantastic launch of Comfort Intense last year, we were keen to offer an extension of this format suitable for sensitive skin. Comfort Pure Ultra Concentrate offers the same loved fragrance, amazing softness and performance as Comfort Pure, number 1 laundry brand for sensitive skin*, but from just a tiny dose! Just one cap (15ml) is needed in your washing load and comes in a convenient small pack, either 38 washes or 64 washes from most major retailers. Incredible softness, from just a tiny dose!”

*Based on AC Nielsen, MAT value sales, 19/03/16.

Q1: My overall impression was that the bottle was a good size and I liked I only had to use a small amount so it lasted longer. The smell was lovely and did make a difference to my washing.

Q2: I liked the bottle, the smell and that it did make my clothes softer. There wasn't anything I didn't really like.

I will probably but this in the future.

Rigbyroo · 09/05/2016 09:20

was your overall impression of the product?
I loved it! Really delicate fragrance, small, light bottle with easy pouring spout. Loved the fact it fits in the cupboard easily and isn't too heavy, it means ds is less likely to drop it all over the kitchen floor when 'helping'
Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?
I liked everything. Clothes felt so soft and lightly fragranced rather than overpowered with scent.

Rigbyroo · 09/05/2016 09:21

Oh and lovely on excema prone skin, definitely less itchy here!

thesoupdragon44 · 09/05/2016 09:55

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product? Looks good east to measure and smells lovely too

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?
I like the smell its subtle and fresh. I liked that it made my clothes soft and left them smelling clean, no skin reactions from my family. I would have liked the bottle to have a hand grip shape as you can only pour from one side with the spout. I love that it has a non drip cap, so no waste.

Q1: My impression was it is a normal fabric conditioner. I can't get excited about it. It did the job its supposed to and smells like other fabric conditioners. I don't see that there is a gap in the market which this product fills.

Q2: I liked that the bottle was small so it fits easily in my cupboard. There was nothing dislike.

lostindevon · 09/05/2016 11:19

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?

Nice bottle, packaging looks nice, doesn't overly stand out from others.

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?
I liked the smaller bottle, smells lovely, made clothes soft.
Quite expensive, I'd only buy if on offer.

pizzapops · 09/05/2016 11:19

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?
I loved the small size of the bottle as it helps with storage. The smell was very clean and fresh and not too overpowering.

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?
It left my clothes feeling very soft and delicately fragranced. I'm not a fan of the strong overpowering smells so this was great. The only thing I disliked was that I would have preferred a sturdier bottle as it did feel a little flimsy.

Thank you for letting me test this product!

melissa2828 · 09/05/2016 12:10

Q1- what was your overall impression of the product?
It's a nice smaller bottle and therefore does not take as much room up.

Q2- what did you like /dislike about the product ? Why?
I loved the smell plus it's good for all the family not just baby.

Thanks for letting us try this 😀

StuntNun · 09/05/2016 12:23

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?
Much better than my usual fabric conditioner. The results were the same but the bottle size is so much handier than my usual 3 litre bottle. So it's easier to store the bottle and easier to handle and pour without spilling.

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?
I like the fragrance as it isn't overpowering like some fabric conditioners; clothes just smell 'clean'.
I didn't like the nozzle as you have to hold the bottle at a certain angle for it to pour cleanly. I'm usually doing everything in a rush so it took me a couple of tries to figure that out!

Mummylin · 09/05/2016 13:20

Q1 overall impression Is that my washing felt very soft when I took it out of the machine, it was hard to imagine that such a small amount would do the job, usually I just tip it in to the compartment !

Q2 I was impressed by how soft my washing felt when I took it out of the machine, I love the compact bottle, which if you are pushed for space has to be a bonus. I also like the little pourer spout. The smell is quite nice , not too overpowering. I am waiting to see how my towels come out.
I use comfort anyway and would like to compare the price per wash. Hopefully it may be a bit gentler for my Dh who suffers from phsirosis.
Overall I think it's good but will depend on the cost.

elvisthehamster · 09/05/2016 13:59

I liked the size of the bottle -fits just perfectly in my utility room cupboard shelf so bonus points from me! I do prefer compact bottles.

The smell was lovely -Although very noticeable when putting it in the machine was more subtle on my clothes and they didn't smell as strongly of it as I thought they would.

I would use it again but possible if it was on offer, I do tend to shop for value over loyalty to brands but I would be happy to use this product again.

mumsbe · 09/05/2016 14:03

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?
It was compact and a pleasing design. The smell is lovely but I still used the same amount as I would for all fabric softeners.

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?
I really liked the smell but I wouldnt say it made the clothes any softer.

RueDeWakening · 09/05/2016 14:05

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?

I like it, and always have done. I don't like the bottle much, I found the conditioner dribbled down the outside of it when I put the cap back on, making it sticky to handle again. The smell is nice, and I don't think has changed from the normal comfort pure smell, but it's slightly stronger in the bottle, I assume because it's more concentrated. It hasn't worked any better or worse than when I've used the less concentrated versions previously.

I wish that someone would distribute the super concentrated packs of fabric conditioner (see pic) that the customer dilutes themselves in this country though. We buy it in France and bring it back home with us, it's easy to store for yonks and makes the car smell lovely on the journey and I can dilute it to my preference (weaker than usually suggested).

I liked the small compact bottle and how the product smelt when I initially opened the bottle.

As I do not frequently use fabric conditioner I applied for this survey to find out what I was missing. Unfortunately I didn't find any of the clothes any more soft than usual. Furthermore I couldn't smell the product on my clothing.

I therefore don't feel that I have been converted into a fabric conditioner user!

milfontes123 · 09/05/2016 14:39

Q1 overall very good impression. Nice compact size very convenient for storage.

Q2 I loved the smell. My sense of smell has been very much affected by pregnancies and there are very few conditioners I can use without feeling sick, and that one works whoop whoop!

Lulabellx1 · 09/05/2016 16:18

6 years ago, my son had a really bad Eczema flare up and our doctor told us to remove the use of fabric conditioner all together as this could be triggering it. Over the years his skin has cleared up, although we can have a flare up every now and then.

I wanted to give this fabric conditioner a go to see if his Eczema flared up. It was lovely being able to use fabric conditioner again and I'm pleased to say that his skin is lovely and clear still.

The fragrance is lovely, not too strong and the clothes have been lovely and soft. I have especially noticed how soft my towels are!

I really like this provide and as long as DS’s skin stays clear, I will continue to use it.

Lu xx

Givemecoffeeplease · 09/05/2016 17:11

Love the compact bottle. Easy to pour. I don't usually use Fabric Conditioner but I like this smell and will be buying in future.

Nikkinaknoo · 09/05/2016 17:27

I always buy this brand, but only when on offer. I like that the smaller bottle is better for the environment and easier to transport and store, but other than that, I didn't find much difference to usual.

Personally, I prefer a fabric conditioner with a nice fragrance but get that this isn't appropriate for this product.

Would only buy if it was on offer.

Starlingsintheslipstream · 09/05/2016 17:44

Overall impression was the product does everything I'd expect of a fabric conditioner.

I liked the pourer, it was easy to dispense and came out cleanly without drips. I liked that the fragrance wasn't too overpowering. It left the clothes feeling reasonably soft. I also liked the size of the bottle.

I'd buy the product if it was on offer but don't religiously use fabric conditioner so it wouldn't be a must-have product for me.

Charell20 · 09/05/2016 18:06

I love the smell, when my little girl was small I used comfort pure but the HUGE bottles. I stopped buying as I could carry it home on the bus. Now this is smaller and more compact I may change again. I don't think it is any better or any worse than my regular conditioner, but the size is a bonus for me

cheesecheeseplease · 09/05/2016 19:14

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?
It's normal comfort in a smaller bottle, it softens the fabric well and has a faint but pleasant smell.

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?
I like my fabric softener more smelly than this, however I don't have eczema or dry skin which I know more fragrance products can irritate.

Raspberrygiggle · 09/05/2016 19:17

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?

When it arrived I was surprised at the size of the bottle and how many washes it said you could get from the bottle. I didn't see how one tiny amount could give the same softness and scent as the normal amount I use. Upon my first couple of uses I have been pleasantly surprised. My washing still has that lovely Comfort scent and feels as soft as before.

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?

I really like that the bottle is smaller, meaning less packaging to recycle and less space taken up in my cupboard.

I also like that, using such a small amount, my washing machine drawer is less likely to be clogged up with fabric conditioner.

There really isn't anything to dislike about this product!

pineapplepumpkin · 09/05/2016 19:42

I liked the fragrance and thought the bottle was easy to store. I didn't have any problems with spillage. I don't usually use fabric conditioner and didn't find that my clothes were any softer than usual. I wouldnt buy the product as the only benefit to me would be the fragrance. Thank you for allowing me to test the product!

Coffeechick · 09/05/2016 20:22

1.i liked the size as it would take up less space at home. The scent was nice not too strong. I didn't find it made my clothes any softer.

  1. I liked the cap to be able to measure the amount but I found it difficult to measure due to the small size of the cap and found it dripped over he cap.
