This is the feedback thread for the 500 Mumsnetters who tested Comfort Pure Ultra Concentrate.

Here’s what Comfort has to say: “We are pleased to launch the NEW Comfort Pure Ultra Concentrate. Following our fantastic launch of Comfort Intense last year, we were keen to offer an extension of this format suitable for sensitive skin. Comfort Pure Ultra Concentrate offers the same loved fragrance, amazing softness and performance as Comfort Pure, number 1 laundry brand for sensitive skin*, but from just a tiny dose! Just one cap (15ml) is needed in your washing load and comes in a convenient small pack, either 38 washes or 64 washes from most major retailers. Incredible softness, from just a tiny dose!”

*Based on AC Nielsen, MAT value sales, 19/03/16.

Also agree with previous posters that the spout being only one way was a pain as I was holding the cap in the other hand so had to put it down to turn it round if necessary. Although now I've been using it a couple of days I have mad sure that I left the bottle facing the right way.

muddledsheep · 08/05/2016 13:13

A compact version of the conditioner I already use. I liked the small bottle and the smell is still lovely. Clothes came out soft and fresh. Thank you :)

crazyinlurve · 08/05/2016 14:58

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product? I liked the new shape to the bottle and loved the fragrance.

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why? My clothes have come out feeling really soft and the fragrance lingers. I love the smell of fresh washing! Nothing to dislike.

DoTheMLMHustle · 08/05/2016 15:45

Really liked the small bottle with the spout

LI've the smell and my clothes were very soft. I tend to use concentrated conditioners like normal stuff though, so probably used more than the recommended amount

Baileycakes · 08/05/2016 16:14
  1. I like the compact size of the bottle and it had a nice fresh smell
  1. The only thing that would put me off is the price
CombineBananaFister · 08/05/2016 16:48

Smells lovely, bottle size great for our tiny galley kitchen. Have only used it on towel wash but so far okay with two eczema people in the house - did use just under what was recommended though. Would recommend!

SaltySeaBird · 08/05/2016 16:55

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?
Very positive. We don't normally use a fabric softener and really noticed the difference. The smell was very noticeable in a pleasant way - in fact my DM arrived just after I had put some washing on an airer and asked what I had used as it smelt so nice.

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?
The small bottle that sits neatly under the sink is great. There is nothing I dislike. DH has already said we will be buying it again.

bigsnugglebunny · 08/05/2016 17:28

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?

Really good, nice small bottle - I don't think I've ever been excited about doing the washing!

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?

I like the smell, and it didn't leave a fake chemical smell after. The clothes were as soft as they usually are, but that's pretty soft!

I didn't dislike anything. Will probably buy again, although we tend to buy stuff on offer, so it would depend if the price was right.

FeelingSmurfy · 08/05/2016 17:39

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?
Like the look of the bottle, makes me think it will make clothes soft and will be gentle on them. When using it I liked the smell but think it needs to be stronger so I ended up using more than suggested amount on later washes. Clothes felt as soft as normal. I would buy again if it was on offer

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?
Like the smaller bottle but think that I may use more than necessary without meaning to because I'm not used to it being concentrated (I did choose to use a bit more in later washes but I was aware of that)

Dislike the way you pour it out, seems to be one way to pour correctly

Like the scent but feel it needs to be stronger on the clothes when washed

billybear · 08/05/2016 19:17

liked smaller size bottle easier to pour and smaller size takes up less room in cupboard.smelt lovely when I opened the bottle, when I opened washer after finishing washing cycle smelt great. when dry felt soft but smell subtle not very strong, have a 9lb washer so had to use extra each load so would buy if on offer, great use comfort normally like quality washing products, thank you for letting me test it,

PseudoBadger · 08/05/2016 19:40

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?

It was as good as my usual product, softness wise.

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?

I liked the small bottle and the spout, but found the recommended dosage lines difficult to see on the cap.
I found the fragrance far too strong compared to my usual product.
I didn't notice any extra softness from my usual product.

purplepandas · 08/05/2016 19:46

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?
Really liked the smell and the size of the bottle. Compact is good. Easy pouring spout too.

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?
Agree with other posters about the pleasant smell. It left clothes smelling nicely. I would purchase again.

Thanks for letting me test :)

ohlittlepea · 08/05/2016 19:51

Thank you for the sample, we enjoyed testing this product. We've used comfort pure in the past and so are used to the scent and performance of the usual dilution.

1, My overall impression was great, here's a small way we can be a little greener with our washing! It looks compact and neat, the branding is clear and recognisable.

2, I liked the smell and felt the softness was parallel to our usual version. It was easy to hold and pour. The price point seemed a little steep to me.

Millipedewithherfeetup · 08/05/2016 19:59
  1. Overall impression was mixed, liked the smaller compact bottle, but not keen on the spout, bit fiddly.

2.liked, smell before it went in tbe wash, but could not smell it when the wash ended ! Disliked the non smell after washing and drying also did not think my clothes were as soft as my usual brand, sorry will not be purchasing.

Used2bthin · 08/05/2016 20:01

1 my overall impression was really good. My dd has excema and psoriasis and this has been ok for her so far . Also liked the smaller size for my crammed cupboard.

2 I liked the size and found the pouring bit easy to use/less likely to spill. I used the measurer the first time but just poured after that. I didn't dislike anything but didn't find the smell lasted as well after tumble drying as when air dried . That might be our tumble drier though !

spethy31 · 08/05/2016 20:17

Overall impressions are good. Smell is less overpowering than similar products which suggests less artificial deposits on the clothes - this can only be good.
Husband has been putting the washing on lately and likes the fact that you need much less liquid than comparable products. Personally I haven't noticed any greater softness but the washing has been drying in direct sunlight lately which dries things differently anyway!
Smaller bottle is easier to fit under the kitchen sink with the usual rubbish!

I use comfort pure already so didn't find a big difference in smell or softness of clothes from that. I do really like the size of the bottle easy to store on the shelves above my washing machine out of reach of DC. Normally have to leave the bigger bottle out on top of the machine.

MaccaPaccaismyNemesis · 08/05/2016 21:07
  1. strangely enough DH had bought the comfort pure in the big size so was good to have a direct comparison.

I like the smaller bottle but needed to use a full cap to make it smell as strongly but that is most likely personal preference.

The clothes smelt lovely both on the line and coming out of the machine, and were lovely a soft too.

  1. likes and dislikes. I would prefer a better measuring cup.

Likes- the size, smell, bottle design and concept. I will buy again if it was on offer or a good price.

Shiraznowplease · 08/05/2016 21:29

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?

I really liked the small, compact size of the bottle, it meant it fitted easily under my sink. The softness and smell is great and the standard I would expect from comfort pure. It is a product I would definitely buy again

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?

I liked the small size and the ease of measuring dose via lid and pourer.
I liked that it was soft especially on my daughters 'blankie'. The smell was not overpowering but when clothes were not used straight after wash the scent was still detectable a few days later.

webster147 · 08/05/2016 21:41

I usually use Comfort Pure so I knew I would like the product,I love the new bottle size and shape it's much more storage friendly and really impressed that I got the same great results using such a small dose.
I really like the scent and I get the same softness results as the un-concentrated Comfort Pure, there isn't anything I disliked about the product.

pinkspideruk · 08/05/2016 22:03

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?

I have to be honest I opened the package and was like is this it? This tiny bottle is gonna last like a week! However, after using it and using the correct dose I can see this is actually the equivalent to around 2 weeks supply (we tend to do 2 loads of washing everyday)

I love the smell of comfort pure - I always have - it is also one of the few products that I can use which doesnt bring me out in a rash.

I was concerned that using the smaller dose (even though its concentrated) would not be enough and that my clothes wouldn't have that lovely fresh smell but it was just as affective as the less concentrated version.

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?

I like that it takes up less room in the cupboard! I tend to buy in bulk so cupboard space is limited

I like the smell

I like the fact the bottle is easy to lift and pour and that the measuring lid is easy to use

I dont like how little product you get - I know it's concentrated but I would prefer it in a 96 wash bottle myself so I am not having to go to the shops to buy more so often - saves on petrol and on time.

SmileAndNod · 08/05/2016 22:28

Q1: What was your overall impression of the product?
It was good, left washing soft and the smell lingered.

Q2: What did you like/dislike about the product? Why?
Liked the smaller bottle as takes up less space in cupboard. Found it a bit tricky to open as the lid felt small and fiddly. Not sure I will get 38 washes out of the bottle as I can't see the dosing line...

bomfunk · 08/05/2016 22:54

I liked the bottle size - no need for a lumbering vat of softener to store! Just a little bottle on the windowsill.

The smell is divine! And it lasts all day.

camperjam · 09/05/2016 08:48

I liked the compact bottle, pouring spout and measuring lid. The smell wad nice and not too strong
