Aldi have asked us to find 250 Mumsnetters to test out their Mamia nappies with their DCs.

Here’s what Aldi say, “We’re looking for 250 Mumsnetters to try Aldi’s award-winning Mamia nappies. Dermatologically tested and hypoallergenic, our nappies are available in Aldi stores nationwide.

“Aldi’s Mamia nappies are fast becoming one of the UK’s favourite choice for babies from newborns to toddlers. The Ultra Dry Range scooped Gold at the Mother & Baby Awards for the second year running and has also been successful at the Lovedbyparents Awards, scooping Golds for the Size 3 Mamia Ultra Dry Midi Nappies and Size 4+ Mamia Ultra Dry Maxi+ Nappies. They also recently picked up the Bounty Mums Love Gold Best Private Label Nappy award.

“Aldi’s Mamia range is committed to offering savvy mums the best quality nappies for their little ones.

“As the range has been so successful in awards, we’d like to put them to the test with Mumsnetters as we really value your opinion. As ever, you are the experts and we’d love to hear your feedback.”

This product test is open to all UK Mumsnetters who have at least one child who is wearing nappies in one of the sizes below.

Size 1: 2-5kg/4-11lbs (newborn babies)
Size 2: 3-6kg/6-13lb (larger newborn babies & up to 3 or 4 months)
Size 3: 4-9kg/9-20lbs (from 4 months to 1 year)
Size 4: 7-18kg/15-40lbs (larger 1 year olds +)
Size 4+: 9-20kg/20-44lbs (apx. 18months-3 years old)
Size 5: 11-25kg/24-55lbs (3-4 year olds)
Size 5+: 13-27kg/29.60lbs (3+ years old)
Size 6: 15+kg/33+lbs (3+ years old)

  • The ages listed are provided as a guide

All testers will be sent one pack of Mamia nappies. Testers will be asked to feedback on a thread on Mumsnet as well as leave a review on the review page.

All the testers who add their feedback will be entered into a prize draw to win Aldi vouchers worth £300.

If you’re interested, please sign up here.

Thanks,
MNHQ

Have entered for baby.
Tend to use pull-ups at night for my 4 year old.

Will be interested to see how they compare to Lidl.

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 23/02/2015 12:18

Have signed up. am curre fly wedded to sainsbury's own brand after trying pretty much every type out there bar Aldi's so would like to do this!

HollyJollyDillydolly · 23/02/2015 12:27

We use pampers so I'm interested to see how aldi nappies compare, having looked at them online they seem to have won lots of awards.

ldt87 · 23/02/2015 12:40

I've sign up, my boy can explode most brands of nappies it seems Confused looking forward to hopefully trying Aldi's.

GinGinGin · 23/02/2015 12:56

OhHowILoveMyPuppies · 23/02/2015 13:08

Done.

Crownjewel · 23/02/2015 13:18

Done!

curlyweasel · 23/02/2015 13:19

Done. Mortified to see DS is in size usually reserved for 1year olds upwards (he's only 9 months). Perhaps like chocolate bars, nappies are getting smaller :)

GlutenFreeKiddy · 23/02/2015 13:31

Done, head really good things about these so fingers crossed.

juniorcakeoff · 23/02/2015 13:34

Curly I have always put mine in the next size up asap to increase absorbency and save cash, e.g if it goes from 7kg I'd be putting the baby in it as soon as he is 7kg unless it is so wide it stops him moving :)

MrsHathaway · 23/02/2015 13:35

We use them already so I won't enter, but the sizes listed aren't right. DC3 was in size 5 before he was in age 2-3 clothes.

The nappies are absolutely great, though. Nursery supply Pampers and you can really tell the difference.

JuniperTisane · 23/02/2015 13:44

DS2 is in size 5 but he's a smallish just-2yr old. I don't think the size/age guide is particularly accurate. I have entered though.

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 23/02/2015 13:53

Hmmmm - I was wondering about sizes. dD is 13 months. On 98th centile for height and in a size 5 sainsbo's nappy. I have asked for 4+ if chosen so hope it will fit.

BossWitch · 23/02/2015 14:06

Similar thing re sizing here, age should be size 3 but weight and all over size wise my dd is size 4.

ThisFenceIsComfy · 23/02/2015 14:34

Done!

redastra · 23/02/2015 14:50

NerrSnerr · 23/02/2015 16:41

I have done too. Have heard good things about Aldi nappies.

JimmyCorkhill · 23/02/2015 16:42

Done. We use these all the time. They are fab.

Buglife · 23/02/2015 17:16

Signed up! My DS would be in size 4 though, at 6 months, not 1 year!

Northernexile · 23/02/2015 17:26

Done!

MummyBtothree · 23/02/2015 17:28
