Aldi have asked us to find 250 Mumsnetters to test out their Mamia nappies with their DCs.

Here’s what Aldi say, “We’re looking for 250 Mumsnetters to try Aldi’s award-winning Mamia nappies. Dermatologically tested and hypoallergenic, our nappies are available in Aldi stores nationwide.

“Aldi’s Mamia nappies are fast becoming one of the UK’s favourite choice for babies from newborns to toddlers. The Ultra Dry Range scooped Gold at the Mother & Baby Awards for the second year running and has also been successful at the Lovedbyparents Awards, scooping Golds for the Size 3 Mamia Ultra Dry Midi Nappies and Size 4+ Mamia Ultra Dry Maxi+ Nappies. They also recently picked up the Bounty Mums Love Gold Best Private Label Nappy award.

“Aldi’s Mamia range is committed to offering savvy mums the best quality nappies for their little ones.

“As the range has been so successful in awards, we’d like to put them to the test with Mumsnetters as we really value your opinion. As ever, you are the experts and we’d love to hear your feedback.”

This product test is open to all UK Mumsnetters who have at least one child who is wearing nappies in one of the sizes below.

Size 1: 2-5kg/4-11lbs (newborn babies)
Size 2: 3-6kg/6-13lb (larger newborn babies & up to 3 or 4 months)
Size 3: 4-9kg/9-20lbs (from 4 months to 1 year)
Size 4: 7-18kg/15-40lbs (larger 1 year olds +)
Size 4+: 9-20kg/20-44lbs (apx. 18months-3 years old)
Size 5: 11-25kg/24-55lbs (3-4 year olds)
Size 5+: 13-27kg/29.60lbs (3+ years old)
Size 6: 15+kg/33+lbs (3+ years old)

  • The ages listed are provided as a guide

All testers will be sent one pack of Mamia nappies. Testers will be asked to feedback on a thread on Mumsnet as well as leave a review on the review page.

All the testers who add their feedback will be entered into a prize draw to win Aldi vouchers worth £300.

If you’re interested, please sign up here.

Thanks,
MNHQ

I've signed up too! Love Aldi for other things so very keen to see how the nappies fare in comparison to other brands.

AvaAmulet · 23/02/2015 21:04

Glad it's not just my dd where sizing is concerned - she's 22months and wears true to size/age clothing, but wears size 5 in easy ups nappies...x

ThursdayLast · 23/02/2015 21:14

Haha DS is not yet 2yo and already in size 6 Grin
Done. I used to use Aldi regularly, but have recently been using Sainsburys. Happy to be won back though!

MummyBtothree · 23/02/2015 21:53

Both my local Aldi stores only stock up to a size 5, therefore I didn't realise they did another two sizes after that. Why wouldn't you stock them????!!

Dannie22b · 23/02/2015 22:51

Have signed up! Shame I couldn't tick 3 boxes as have 3 in nappys and can try any size!

ZenNudist · 23/02/2015 23:01

Done. I used the mamias in newborn but gave up as they leaked so badly at night. Now using pampers but struggling. Lots more leaks at 1yo. Probably as he sleeps through.

Always shop in Aldi so willing to give their nappies a shot.

LastOneDancing · 23/02/2015 23:08

I'm relieved to hear others think the sizes are out! My little chunk is 11m and in 4+ for '18m-3 years'.

Errrmm. ..

I have a baby and a toddler in nappies. Shame I couldn't put both down so I could give them a fair trial.

Murphy29 · 24/02/2015 21:23

Done to see if they've improved. Everyone raves about them but they were the worst we used for DS - leaked pee/poo just about every time. Asda ones have been great and seem a bit smaller so not sure if they're just a better fit for DS.

Greymalkin · 25/02/2015 11:39

Done

TheFantasticFixit · 25/02/2015 21:09

Done! Would be really interested in seeing how these compare to Pampers (our usual brand) esp if there is a significant difference in cost! Wink

EwelinaMay1979 · 26/02/2015 19:00

Hi :) I have a 2 months old baby daughter Francesca Daria. She's sleeping on my lap at the moment. I have started using a mini 2 nappies now. at the ones for newborns are to tight and leaks. I am interested to try new nappies brands. :)
