Weight watchers are steeling again

lunar1 · 07/01/2015 06:12

Weight watchers have taken an unauthorised payment from my account again. I am now overdrawn and won't be able to access my account to transfer money I time today to stop me being charged.

I hope that mumsnet is honest when posting feedback for this company, I don't want to see their dishonest business practices glossed over. They are untrustworthy and I feel very strongly that your review has to reflect that.

We weren't supposed to cancel, we were promise that no money would go out of our accounts at any point.

Lunar - I hope you don't mind, but I have reported your post, to ensure that MNHQ see this thread and are aware of the issue, in case they haven't/aren't already.

I hope you get this sorted - I am sure MNHQ will be horrified and will weigh in on your behalf and on dobedobedo's too.

hippoherostandinghere · 07/01/2015 07:34

They have taken it from me as well. Really not happy as this is the 2nd time it's happened. Hope weightwatchers refund it soon.

AngelieMumsnet · 07/01/2015 10:29

So sorry about this, we're looking into this with Weight Watchers, and will update you as soon as we can.

hippoherostandinghere · 07/01/2015 10:46

Thank you Angelie, can you let us know if we need to contact weightwatchers of if they'll refund. Thanks.

dobedobedo · 07/01/2015 11:20

let's all join slimming world out of spite !

Any news yet mn?

Can you not be a bit more pro active on this? It is your product test MN, I can't think of any reason why this was not sorted out today.

My neither Lunar, this is people's money we are talking about. It may not seem a lot but it's a lot to some people. And an unexpected payment can have all sorts of consequences, bank charges, unpaid DDs, impact on credit rating. Weight watchers have made a total mess again. I'm really disappointed.

lunar1 · 07/01/2015 21:27

I will have a bank charge, I didn't realise it happened till I'd gone out for the day and i would have had to transfer the funds before 3 to avoid it.

It's a nightmare to be hones because I set it up with paypal so the money doesn't even go back into your bank account its refunded as a paypal balance.

I'm surprised MNHQ haven't sent everyone involved an email as some people may not realise it's happened yet.

I didnt have any involvement in this trial but was flabbergasted when I saw this. We live hand to mouth every month, as do alot of people & if this happened to me, I would definitely be incurring bank charges like some of these ladies. I hope that Weight Watchers not only reimburse your money but get some sort of gesture as a way of an apology. I think its shocking.

AngelieMumsnet · 08/01/2015 10:54

Sorry everyone, we appreciate it's very frustrating, but we are working on this and will come back to you asap

lunar1 · 08/01/2015 10:55

Sorry for bumping my own post again but I still have not had a reply.

OP posts:
hippoherostandinghere · 09/01/2015 11:20

Any answers today mumsnet?

lunar1 · 09/01/2015 12:59

I don't get the impression that they care! Has anyone involved in the trial heard anything yet?

OP posts:
AngelieMumsnet · 09/01/2015 13:22

Sorry, we're still on this and will come back ASAP

JeffVaderRunsTheDeathStar · 09/01/2015 13:35

Hope that this is sorted soon for you OP. Poor show MNHQ.

hippoherostandinghere · 09/01/2015 13:40

But what's the response from weight watchers so far? Surely it can't have been 2 days with no response? We were told there'd be no charge at all. First we were charged in the first month and now again. So from no charge to charged twice. It's not on and I'd appreciate it if it was taken abut more seriously please. This is people's money we are talking about.

hippoherostandinghere · 09/01/2015 13:40

Lunar, nothing except for what you see on here. Shocking.

lunar1 · 09/01/2015 14:40

I know hippo, really not on that they aren't saying anything at all to us. I just get the impression it doesn't matter to them. They should at least let us know what has been said.

AngelieMumsnet · 09/01/2015 15:03

We're so sorry about this issue and completely understand how serious it is for you. We are doing our best to contact those who can resolve it at Weight Watchers but some folks have changed jobs recently so it's taking a bit of time. We are pushing for a resolution today if possible.
We'll PM everyone who has been affected soon.

lunar1 · 09/01/2015 20:57

Anyone else get their pm? Mine said that the refund had been done but nothing has come through in paypal which would be instant if it had been done.

I'm guessing that will be it till Monday now.
