Miele are looking for 10 Mumsnetters to test out their WMH120WPS washing machine.

Here’s what Miele say, "With Miele’s exclusive Quick PowerWash, you benefit from a full A-rated wash in under an hour, getting the laundry done in record time. Better still, this large-capacity machine manages this whilst boasting an A+++ energy rating and being quieter than other models in this range.
The clever TwinDos system, automatically dispenses either Miele detergents or your preferred brand of liquid detergent and fabric conditioner for up to three months between refills. The WMH 120 WPS determines the best moment to release these during the cycle, meaning that each wash is tailored to that particular load, for the best results each time."

Those selected will be sent a Miele WMH120WPS washing machine (RRP £1,299).

If selected, you'll be sent the Miele WMH120WPS to try for a few weeks and so long as you add feedback as required you will be able to keep the product.

If selected, you will be sent the Miele WMH120WPS in December, and asked to try it for two weeks. You will then need to try it and add feedback to a thread on Mumsnet. At the end of the testing period, we'd also like you to post a review on the Mumsnet review pages. In order to keep the product, you would need to add your feedback by the 25th January, so please only apply if you are able to do this.

5 of the 10 participants may also need to film a few videos. Those MNers will receive an additional year's supply of detergent as a thank you for filming.

If you’re interested in taking part please sign up here.

Thanks and good luck,
MNHQ

Thanks for the info VeganCow. I totally agree re how much drier the clothes are and my other machine was 1600 spin too. I've done 2 wash load and on number 3 now. Interesting Info regarding the colour and the whites liquid it would have been helpful to know this beforehand. I also tried the stain function and loved the fact you could use for red wine chocolate grease etc

Rikalaily · 22/01/2015 13:51

Engineer just came out with an extension for the fill hose so the box bit is now behind my machine and the extension is leading to the water connection, it's all installed and doing the prewash atm. Bit nervous about playing with the settings, I've never had a machine with a display etc just dials. Can't wait to see how it performs compared to my crappy washer/dryer. Will have a good read of the instructions and have a proper play with it tomorrow!

soremummy · 22/01/2015 14:53

Wonder if it's worth me ringing re the extension kit as I can't push my machine back properly and it would mean I wouldn't have to try butcher the unit at the side of it

VeganCow · 23/01/2015 13:27

sore I would ring them deffo, you want it installing properly with no damage!

LovelyBranches · 23/01/2015 16:19

My washing machine has just arrived. I had to ask the delivery men if they would fit it because they weren't going to. There's no way I could have managed with our 3 month old DS who had seen the arrival of a new washing machine as a personal challenge to create as much washing as possible.

It's doing the initial 3 hour spin at the moment but so far it looks impressive. It's deeper than my old machine so sticks out a bit more but it looks modern and I'm excited that there's going to be the DOS option.

I love how excited I am about spending my Friday night washing clothes!!

soremummy · 23/01/2015 19:35

VeganCow I did ring them today and the very helpful guy explained that they do have the extension house and it's braided etc and it was xx? (Can't remember) long oh and it would cost £80 something pounds !! I was gobsmacked.

*If Miele are watching this thread I think that it's very poor service to have someone testing/reviewing your product and I did say that I was doing that and offering to sell me something to make your product fit properly in the space available! If not like I was asking for someone to even fit it I was willing to do it myself.

soremummy · 23/01/2015 19:38

LovelyBranches just remember to add your fabric conditioner to the drawer and press the dos button I've forgotten to do that twice

SoupDragon · 23/01/2015 19:42

To be fair, they have given you a £1300 washing machine for free.

VeganCow · 23/01/2015 20:23

Soup dragon, maybe so, but no other machine has this type of hose, and it is apparent that most people need either the extension and/or something doing to make the machine fit. In which case, the hose should be provided with the machine.
People paying £1300 for a machine would expect the extension hose to be included I would have thought?

Rikalaily · 23/01/2015 20:39

soremummy I called them and explained that I was part of the trial, the person passed my details onto the marketing team as that's who deal with it. They called back and arranged an engineer to come out with the extension the next day and no charge was mentioned.

Call back and ask to speak to the marketing team.

soremummy · 23/01/2015 21:15

Thankyou I will contact the marketing team. Soup dragon tbh if I had bought that machine myself I would be miffed. It has a block on the pipe that connects to the cold water it's a safety device in case of flooding but it is a pain as it makes the machine deeper and I'm not the only one that had a problem with this.

Katz · 25/01/2015 18:52

Slightly nervous as not had text to confirm time for delivery tomorrow but excited to try new machine

Rikalaily · 25/01/2015 19:44

I was told that I would get a phonecall in the morning giving me a timeslot... I got a phonecall (answerphone message while I was on the loo) from the delivery guys saying they would be here in 20 mins.

VeganCow · 25/01/2015 20:23

katz I didnt get the text either, just a phone call on the morning of delivery giving me an afternoon 2 hour slot.

ReluctantCamper · 25/01/2015 20:40

Mine is installed and have been playing with it. Didn't get a text from the delivery guys either. With my old machine I used to do a 60 degree wash for bedding and whites, and a 40 degree was for everything else. Trying to work out which cycles roughly correspond to that. In the middle of weaning at the moment, so generating truly titanic volumes of washing!

soremummy · 25/01/2015 20:40

Neither did I. I rang them about 4.45 day before delivery and was given a very early 2 hr time slot was told if I wasn't in that delivery guy would contact me

soremummy · 25/01/2015 20:44

Reluctant camper I found by playing about with the programme manager and pressings stains button it gave options for removing chocolate stains red wine etc. it had other option eg degrees of soiling etc I found that it was better to just keep playing with the settings and looking if I could change temp etc but still keep high spin speed. I'm sure you will be fine

Katz · 25/01/2015 21:40

Thanks, that's very reassuring, I have to do school run in morning and afternoon but that only takes me 5mins from home so no problem. Working from as have a ton of work to do so hoping they'll come later rather than earlier.

Katz · 26/01/2015 16:13

It's here and doing its pre-wash, been reading the manual and I'm a little daunted by the number of options!

LovelyBranches · 26/01/2015 20:00

I've found that even the 30 degree short wash has been getting my clothes sparkling, even DS's dirty babygro's so I'm happy with that as it only takes an hour.

I'm happy with how dry the washing comes out too.

Katz · 27/01/2015 08:13

It took me several goes to get my first wash in but have to say I like the fact you can stop it, drain and restart again.

More washing to do so will report back tomorrow on the feedback thread.
