Q1. What was your overall impression of Finish Power and Pure?

Good. Very similar packaging to the normal tablets which could be confusing. I prefer the non-wrapped tablets too.

Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets?

I was pleasantly surprised. We had lasagne the day the tablets arrived and I was expecting the dish with the burnt on food to need to go in more than once but it came out clean first time! The dish had been used to store the leftover lasagne and then reheated so everything was properly burnt on but the tablets seemed to shift it with ease.

Less chemicals can only ever be a good thing in my opinion. With small children in the house, I worry about what the chemicals we use are doing to their bodies long term and with a family history of Cancer, I worry about what they're doing to me too.

Q4. Do you think you’d be likely to buy it again in future? If so, why? If not, why not?

Depending on price, I would definitely buy them again. I tend to have to go with whatever is on special offer when I'm shopping but if they were priced and offered in a similar way to the normal Finish tablets, I would definitely choose these over the others when shopping

Premium quality product that is very effective and i love the smell of them and the smell in my dishwasher even after the wash has finished.

I would say that it was a little more effective than my usual (Lidl all in one), especially on shorter wash cycle

Yes I would prefer to use fewer chemicals, as I try to do my bit for our environment by recycling and using other cleaning products that are more environmentally firendly.

i would buy them again but only if they were on an offer price wise as I dont think the much higher price justifies the benefits gained.

It smells a lot fresher, and is as effective as my usual tablets.

Yes I would prefer to use fewer chemicals and would prefer that my children were not exposed to them when it is not necessary, mainly because I believe that we do not yet know the long term health effects of such chemicals.

I probably would, though as others have said would prefer to buy when it is on special offer, as it is quite expensive.

I would recommend that they tried it. Yes.

They thoroughly cleaned every item whether it was plastic. metal or wooden spoons and wooden chopping boards. There was no white residue left on anything, which would be my complaint about other brands i have used in the past.

Any product that can give such excellent results with using less chemicals gets my vote, The smell is also more pleasant.

Looked good, looked like it will do the job, liked the packaging, reseda label top and coating in tablets to keep them dry and separate from each other. I liked the smell of the tablets, not such a strong detergent smell.

Just as good - perhaps a little better than the tablets we used as the glasses had less water marks, and didn't look so cloudy after the wash.

Yes- I'm becoming more and more aware of trying to cut down on chemicals in the house, as part of our lifestyle. My baby has eczema so would like less chemicals everywhere in the house. I find that some dishwasher tablets have such a strong detergent smell afterwards that we sometimes needs to wash glasses after they've been through the washer, we didn't need to with these.

I've only used a few tablets so far but, yes, I would be likely to try and look for them, but I would be more inclined to buy them on offer though as I think the price is quite high.

Yes I would, I think the price may be prohibitive though for some.

I would prefer to use dishwasher tablets with less chemicals as it seems better for my family to minimise the use of chemicals where possible.

A Well package, you could clearly see and read about what you were getting.

A. About the same, but was disappointed with a dish used to bake sage and onion stuffing in - despite me pre-soaking it before putting it in the dishwasher the tablet failed to get all the baked on marks off. It did seem to cope well with the hard water where we live.

A Anything using less chemicals has to be better, especially as I live in a house with a septic tank.

I really liked these. Excellent cleaning and the dishwasher smelt lovely and fresh afterwards.

Very effective. I tend to use supermarket own (which are ok, they do the job without any bells and whistles) or other brands if they are on offer. They match up with Fairy Platinum, which I have previously found to be the best (albeit expensive)

Absolutely yes. Less chemicals to ingest, yes please. And better environmentally surely.

I really liked these. Excellent cleaning and no rank smell when the dishwasher was opened. Everything was fully dry.

Very effective. There is very little residue and it coped well with tomato based residue and tea stains and unlike the other tablets I tend to use everything dried properly.

Q1- I thought they were brilliant everything came out sparkling, I think they are noticeably more effective than classic Finish all in one tablets that I normally use.
Q2- very effective dishes are squeaky clean glasses sparkling no smears.
Q3-Yes I would prefer fewer chemicals but unfortunately not enough to pay the high price for them.
Q4- I would love to buy them again but only if they were on offer and significantly cheaper than another variety of Finish or indeed another brand altogether I would NEVER pay £12 for a box of dishwasher tablets my budget would not stretch that far.

I would prefer to use fewer chemicals for my family's benefit and the environment's and it is noticeable that there isn't the faint chemical odour you get from many other products.

Q1. What was your overall impression of Finish Power and Pure?
Overall I was impressed by them. I did find the lack of wrapper a bit odd to begin with as I put my finger in the slightly sticky outer cover!

Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets?
I found them generally very effective. They coped well with baked on food, although sadly the inside of my gravy jug did come out still sticky so had to be rewashed. My glasses did look very shiny :)

Yes, definitely. I hate the chemical smell, and slightly strange taste which seems to stick to plastics. The dishes smelt clean, not overpowering. I was happy to wash DS's bottles in the dishwasher, which I'm not normally.

Yes, but only if the price was more reasonable. I did think £12 was extremely steep for only 27 tablets.

Definitely, I think a lot of mums particularly of young children would be happy to use something which smelt and tasted less of chemicals.

Sorry for the slightly delayed response - my tablets only arrived last week and I wanted to use them properly before providing feedback. Thank you for selecting the Filly-household for this trial.

Wasn't sure about the packaging, as I normally buy tablets in a box. Loved the look of the actual tablets though - they feel quite 'space age'

Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets?

Everything came up sparkling, especially the glassware, so I think they're great! I normally buy whatever is on offer - so use everything from supermarket own-brand (not so good) to Finish powerball all-in-one when they're on half price. I couldn't see a big difference between these and the normal Finish tablets, but guess they don't either, based on the matrix on the back of the packet!

Definitely. Wish it said 'fewer' rather than 'less' on the packaging though

It feels like an exhorbitant cost for 27 tablets....I paid £10 for 72 finish powerball tablets in tesco last week (better than half price offer), and generally aim to pay about that much...but I'd love to use them again and would definitely stock up if they were on promotion.

Q1. What was your overall impression of Finish Power and Pure?
I really liked the little gel packs - not sticky when you take them out of the packet and they dissolve completely in the machine. I loved that there was no overpowering smell with them. I really don't understand why I would want lemon scented dishes!

Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets?
I found them just as effective as usual Finish tablets that I use when on offer and more effective than the Aldi own brand that I use in between times. I tried washing a very dirty baking dish and the result was not perfect which is much the same as with our usual brand of tablet.

Q3. Finish Power and Pure is made with fewer chemicals, would you prefer to use dishwasher tablets with fewer chemicals? If so, why? If not, why not? I really like the idea of using as few chemicals as possible to clean. Firstly because it cannot be good for us to be consuming the chemicals when they are left on the dishes and secondly because of the harm to the environment when all of the cleaning chemicals get washed down the drain.

I will definately buy again - in fact, I already have as I noticed them on offer for £6.00 when shopping earlier this week.

I have recommended to my mum who hates the smell of usual dishwashing tablets and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone else who seeks my opinion on these matters!

I definitely prefer to use less chemicals for the sake of my children. I think it's better for their health to use as little chemicals as possible.

I will buy them again when they are on offer. I tend to buy branded dishwasher tablets and stock up when they are half price, I will do this with the power and pure tablets.

Yes I would. They scent doesn't remain after washing and they have less chemicals and they also work very well.

Am only posting now as tablets received last Thursday and wanted to give them a good try first.

Q1. Overall impressions are very good. I already liked the brand and was impressed with the compact packaging and easy to use tablets (no fiddly wrappers).

Q2. I found Finish tablets very effective compared to my usual dishwasher tablets. Despite being a bit of a "shopping tart" when it comes to dishwasher tablets (I don't stay loyal to one brand but rather buy whatever is on offer) I could see a difference in my dishes, even compared to the costlier brands(fairy, Persil). There was no residue left on plates and no marks on glasses. The dishes had a clean, fresh smell. The inside of he dishwasher actually looked cleaner. I don't use any rinse aid or salts and these certainly wouldn't need any.

Q3. I would generally prefer a product with less chemicals as I think it's unnecessary to "blitz" everything with harsh chemicals and we've managed without them up to now. However I wouldn't go out of my way to buy such a product in the dishwasher tablet range as its unlikely to irritate skin unlike say, washing powder. I like the idea though.

Q4. I liked the product so would be prepared to buy again but only if on offer. The pric is far too high and the less chemical ingredients selling point wouldn't be enough to persuade me otherwise.

Q5. I would recommend the product if it came up in conversation for its cleaning power but not on "less chemicals" grounds. I wouldn't recommend it for value for money du to the high price.

I like the idea behind them, thought the dissolvable wrapper was good - better than loose tablets or wrappers that need to be removed - and I liked the packaging, it was simple, quite tough so less chance of leakage and not excessive.

They were comparable to the finish products we have used before and better than the cheap tablets we sometimes buy. The glasses were nicely sparkly

I would definitely prefer less chemicals as there are already too many chemicals around, especially with children, but I don't think it was clear how much the chemicals were reduced by in comparison to other produced so it is difficult to know if it is worth paying a premium for this product.

Yes, if the price was right. Not at 12 pounds for 27 tablets.

Yes, I would recommend them in terms of effectiveness and the possibility of fewer chemicals.

A lot of people here mentioned the lack of smell, so I checked that this morning - it's absolutely true. The mug smelled of nothing, straight out of the dishwasher, so I smelled the machine interior and there's no smell at all there either. As there's usually a strong whiff of detergent chemicals, I would call that a major plus point; in fact it's sold me on switching to this variety of Finish purely on that basis. The Fairy leaves a strong smell, as have all other remotely effective brands, and I've always disliked it.

Shall now keep a sharp eye out for offers on this, and stock up in bulk when they appear!

Good, nothing remarkable about them. Pleasant but not overpowering smell. worked well in dishwasher.

I was already using finish quantum (chemically ones :)) and these work just as well. I made a point of letting the food dry on the plates before washing, and they came out completely clean.

Yes absolutely, we don't know what all the additives we use in everyday life are actually doing to us, if there's an option to use something with less bad stuff in then that appeals to me, even if I don't really know what the 'bad stuff' is. Not to the point of using the eco dishwasher tabs though, I do actually want something works too..

Yes definitely. I would never pay full price though, i always stock up when these things are on offer.
