Tablets arrived yesterday so gave done one load do far....

Q1. What was your overall impression of Finish Power and Pure?

Seem to be effective so far but Sunday dinner will be a better test
If I didn't know they were different I might not have picked if up from the packaging as it's not too different to standard tabs....

Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets?

Ok so far ... Everything nice n clean ... Including a stainless steel casserole used for frying and not rinsed at all ....

Q3. Finish Power and Pure is made with fewer chemicals, would you prefer to use dishwasher tablets with fewer chemicals? If so, why? If not, why not?

Definitely... I already buy Eco products and like to avoid harsh chemicals where I can but I like the convenience of a dishwasher

Q4. Do you think you’d be likely to buy it again in future? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes when on offer - dishwasher tabs are generally very expensive so I buy on offer rather than full price

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Finish Power and Pure to friends and family?
Yes - probably - need to use them a few more times tho

Yay, mine arrived Smile

They were held up as the package was damaged and had to come in a PO plastic envelope. One of the tablets has lost it's little white balls but I still have 26 to go at.

Not used them yet, but DS2 is very excited as he recognised the name of them from the adverts...he tells me that they will get the dishes "clean and fresh and shiny" and will go "wheeeeeooooosh round and round in the washdisher" The power of advertising Grin

Will use them tomorrow!

Arrived Wednesday, tried last night and today :)

Q1. What was your overall impression of Finish Power and Pure?

Really liked them, worked much better than usual ones, got rid of tanin stains easily. Box was good, liked the individual packaging, much more useful than normal when they crumble everywhere. Just seemed a 'luxury' end product (if its possible for dishwasher tablets to be luxury!)

Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets?

Really good, much better than normal tablets. No residue, everything very clean, nice small.

Q3. Finish Power and Pure is made with fewer chemicals, would you prefer to use dishwasher tablets with fewer chemicals? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes definitely, as long as they still work, and these did. Would prefer as few chemicals as possible near things we eat and drink from.

Q4. Do you think youd be likely to buy it again in future? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, depending upon price, definitely if on a special offer

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Finish Power and Pure to friends and family?

Yes definitely

Thank you :)

Q1. What was your overall impression of Finish Power and Pure?
Really good - wasn't expecting them to be any better than my usual dishwasher tablets (normally use Finish 3-in-1 or Fairy - whichever is cheaper!), but they washed everything very well, including some properly dirty pots and pans.
Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets?
Very good, and as other posters have said, had a lovely smell - much nicer than the normal fake-lemon smell!
Q3. Finish Power and Pure is made with fewer chemicals, would you prefer to use dishwasher tablets with fewer chemicals? If so, why? If not, why not?
I hadn't even thought about this before, shamefully, but yes absolutely. I'm sure anything that works as effectively as this but doesn't need all those chemicals most be a good thing, not just health-wise but environment-wise too
Q4. Do you think you’d be likely to buy it again in future? If so, why? If not, why not?
If sold at a reasonable price (£12 for 27 tablets is really expensive).
Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Finish Power and Pure to friends and family?
Yes

Q1: Nice and compact, no unnecessary packaging. I really dislike little wrappers for the individual tablets (far too much landfill) so I was pleased that these came in a minimum of packaging.

Q2: Really effective: we live in a horrible hard water area. The Power and pure got the water marks off my pan lids, which my fairy or lidl brand dish washer tablets couldn't.

Q3: Yes I prefer fewer chemicals, perfumes, phosphates...Its better for the water courses and environment.

Q4: Yes I'd buy again definitely, but probably not at £12 for 27.

Q5: I would reccommend this if it came up in conversation, especially in our hard water area.

Q1. What was your overall impression of Finish Power and Pure?

I liked the packaging and the fact that the tablets are covered in plastic so residue isn't on my hands. Lovely smell, a nice clean smell.

Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets?

I found them an improvement on my usual brand. My glasses were cleaner which is a bonus, no streaks. My irritant is glasses coming out streaked so I was really happy with this. Everything was spotless. I even put a pan in that had been used for scrambled egg and there wasn't a single trace left on.

Q3. Finish Power and Pure is made with fewer chemicals, would you prefer to use dishwasher tablets with fewer chemicals? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes certainly. I try and reduce chemicals wherever I can. Sometimes you can get a metallic chemical taste and smell after dish washing, but none at all using these. The fact I am using less chemicals is an added bonus to the great performance.

Q4. Do you think you’d be likely to buy it again in future? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, I was really impressed. Worth paying a little extra for them as I did notice a real difference. I loved the ablest, performed well, smelt great and less chemicals .... what is not to like?!

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Finish Power and Pure to friends and family?

Definitely.

Q1. What was your overall impression of Finish Power and Pure?
I like the smell - it's clean and not overpowering, nor do they have a false natural smell e.g. lemony. They look cool too!

Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets?
They clean really well - even the microwaved-on scrambled eggs (DH) and the baked-on eggs (DH) came off first go!

Q3. Finish Power and Pure is made with fewer chemicals, would you prefer to use dishwasher tablets with fewer chemicals? If so, why? If not, why not?
Fewer chemicals are always better. I'm quite environmentally conscious and worry about my impact on the world.

Q4. Do you think you’d be likely to buy it again in future? If so, why? If not, why not?
I think I would probably buy them.

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Finish Power and Pure to friends and family?

Q1. What was your overall impression of Finish Power and Pure?
They were very good. Cleaned effectively & no stong chemical smells.
Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets?
I have used finish for a long time but do find them expensive compared to other brands don't end to buy in bulk when on offer or buy own brand from supermarket when rum
Out.
Q3. Finish Power and Pure is made with fewer chemicals, would you prefer to use dishwasher tablets with fewer chemicals? If so, why? If not, why not?
Hadn't really thought about it until now & the absence of the chemical smell is noticeable now. So think this May have changed my mind - at least if the price is competitive enough.
Q4. Do you think you’d be likely to buy it again in future? If so, why? If not, why not?
I do think so as they were both very effective in cleaning dishes & in their lack of chemical smell.
Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Finish Power and Pure to friends and family?
Yes.

Just got mine. SmileSmile

First impressions were good.

Great packaging. I like that they are pre wrapped.

Good to use less chemicals.

I would buy them again depending on the price.

Previously, I have used Aldi dw tablets which are fine. The big test was the dirty crumble dish.....usually takes 2 goes in the dishwasher and a good scrub. This time, it came out sparkling first time! SmileSmileSmileSmile

I would def recommend this product to others.

Thank you for letting us test them. Smile

Q1. What was your overall impression of Finish Power and Pure?
Wow, not all dishwasher tablets are the same...! They were just as easy to use as other gel tabs, but they were far more effective. They even cleaned my MIL's twice-burnt-on (don't ask...) lasagne from the dish - impressive!
Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets?
More effective (see comment about the lasagne above). The dishes were shinier and the glasses less streaky.
Q3. Finish Power and Pure is made with fewer chemicals, would you prefer to use dishwasher tablets with fewer chemicals? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I would prefer fewer chemicals, because they go into my dodgy old pipes and cause havoc there. I'm not as concerned about eating off plates that have been bathed in those chemicals because they're rinsed before I eat from them.
Q4. Do you think youd be likely to buy it again in future? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, I definitely would if they were of a comparable price to other Finish and Fairy tabs. Like everyone in the thread, I never pay full price for dishwasher tabs and always stock up when they're on offer.
Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Finish Power and Pure to friends and family?
Yes. Especially to the in-laws Wink

Q1. What was your overall impression of Finish Power and Pure?
It was fantastic and I was so surprised at the difference. It seemed to clean my machine as well and had no nasty chemical smell when I opened it which was great.
Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets?
The tablets were extremely effective and my glasses were so shiny and squeaky clean compared to my normal tablets which sometimes made them cloudy. I also noticed my baby's bottle teats were incredibly shiny, almost like new. I hadn't realised they could look like that when coming out of the dishwasher and it was reassuring to know that they really were cleaned without chemicals before they were sterilised. Cutlery too came out very shiny and looked almost as if they had been polished.
Q3. Finish Power and Pure is made with fewer chemicals, would you prefer to use dishwasher tablets with fewer chemicals? If so, why? If not, why not?
I hadn't really thought about using dishwasher tablets with fewer chemicals before but obviously knew that there had to be chemicals to clean well. I have a young family and we eat healthily and organically where we can so it makes perfect sense to clean our plates with less chemicals and therefore reduce the risk of any residue chemicals being left on their plates and undoing the good of the organic food. I would always prefer to use less chemicals in all areas of our home including the dishwasher.
Q4. Do you think you’d be likely to buy it again in future? If so, why? If not, why not?
I think I would buy them and alternate them with others in our dishwasher in future. They are about £3 more expensive than my usual tablets and I tend to buy when on offer to get the best deal. I would use them on the evening wash with the glasses and baby bottles to get the great finish. I would probably use my usual tablets for pans etc to keep the cost down a bit.
Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Finish Power and Pure to friends and family? . I've been a bit of an ambassador for them as I did get unreasonably excited after doing my first load and seeing the glasses and baby bottles.
I would definitely recommend these and have already been telling friends and family and even showing them before and after glasses. I took some photos but am not sure how to add them to the link .
These were great and sad though it sounds, made emptying the dishwasher a pleasure!

Q1. What was your overall impression of Finish Power and Pure?
It's fine, but too expensive. But i like the lack of chemicals aspect.

Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets?
It seems to be effective, but no more so than other brands. I usually use finish powerball, or fairy, or own brands, and have been known to run the machine without any detergent if i run out, so suspect performance comes down to the quality of the machine in the main.

Q3. Finish Power and Pure is made with fewer chemicals, would you prefer to use dishwasher tablets with fewer chemicals? If so, why? If not, why not?
as long as its effectiveness is not compromised, that's a good aspect.

Q4. Do you think you’d be likely to buy it again in future? If so, why? If not, why not?
I rarely pay more than 13p per tablet, and can usually get a top brand, so price would be my main decider.

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Finish Power and Pure to friends and family?
If available at the right price. I might suggest it to a friend who thinks dishwashers leave a chemical residue and prefers to wash up by hand.

Q1. What was your overall impression of Finish Power and Pure?

Good. Seem like normal dishwasher tablets but smell nicer.

Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets?

Very effective. We've had a few issues with our dishwasher recently but these do seem to work very well, also on the lower heat setting.

Q3. Finish Power and Pure is made with fewer chemicals, would you prefer to use dishwasher tablets with fewer chemicals? If so, why? If not, why not?

Well, it depends on the chemicals. It's obviously a bit silly to say that "chemicals = bad". I am interested in eco-friendly products, if they also actually work.

Q4. Do you think you’d be likely to buy it again in future? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, but it is very expensive. Would buy if on offer.

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Finish Power and Pure to friends and family?

I don't think I have ever had a conversation about dishwasher tablets. If I did, I wouldn't NOT recommend them! But I wouldn't recommend them either because they are rather pricy.

Q1. What was your overall impression of Finish Power and Pure? Smelt lovely in the packet - not too overpowering or chemical though.
Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets? Usually use other Finish products and these are just as effective.
Q3. Finish Power and Pure is made with fewer chemicals, would you prefer to use dishwasher tablets with fewer chemicals? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes obviously it is preferable to use products with fewer chemicals because hopefully there would be less environmental impact.
Q4. Do you think you’d be likely to buy it again in future? If so, why? If not, why not? I would purchase again providing they are priced in line with other Finish products.
Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Finish Power and Pure to friends and family? Yes I would recommend as they are effective and fewer chemicals is a bonus.

Q1. What was your overall impression of Finish Power and Pure?

The packet is easy to open and the re-seal strip actually works! I would prefer a box as easy to recycle. The smell is very fresh. The tabs are a good fit in the dishwasher.

Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets?

They were very effective. My dishwasher often has problems removing starch and pasta sauce. The starch hadn't been completely removed, but the glasses came out clean.

Q3. Finish Power and Pure is made with fewer chemicals, would you prefer to use dishwasher tablets with fewer chemicals? If so, why? If not, why not?

That aspect of these tabs is very appealing. I do use Ecover products for this reason. Less impact on the environment during production and use.

Q4. Do you think you’d be likely to buy it again in future? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I would. But only when on a special offer as full price tabs are often too expensive.

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Finish Power and Pure to friends and family?

Yes I think I would recommend them.

good packaging and lovely fresh smell

Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets?
realy good cleaning better than my usual tablets where I sometimes have to wash things by hand as they dont get fully clean also as others have said a really lovely clean fresh smell

Q3. Finish Power and Pure is made with fewer chemicals, would you prefer to use dishwasher tablets with fewer chemicals? If so, why? If not, why not?
its really good that there are fewer chemicals, as long as the level of cleaning is as good, which it is with these tablets the fewer chemicals that are used is better for the environment and also for health

Q4. Do you think you’d be likely to buy it again in future? If so, why? If not, why not?
yes I think so, I really like the fact that they have less chemicals but clean as well as those with more chemicals as long as the price is comparable

Q1. What was your overall impression of Finish Power and Pure?

The packaging is fantastic, not only does it look good, but as they are not in a box they take less room up in the cupboard, which is always good.

Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets?

I really liked the fact that unlike other dishwasher tablets I did not find residue left in the dishwasher after the cycle had finished. Not only did the plates and glasses coming out sparkling clean, but the machine looked really clean too.

Q3. Finish Power and Pure are made with fewer chemicals, would you prefer to use dishwasher tablets with fewer chemicals? If so, why? If not, why not?

Of course, fewer chemicals is always a good thing where possible. I am definitely more aware of the damage chemicals are doing to our planet.

Q4. Do you think you’d be likely to buy it again in future? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would definitely use these again as there was not one item that didn't come out 100% clean, It would however depend on the price.

Yes I already have been raving on about how great they are!

Q1. What was your overall impression of Finish Power and Pure?
It washed okay and smelled okay.

Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets?
I didn't notice a marked difference compared to Fairy Platinum. There is a difference between the Finish and the Tesco Everyday Value; washes done with the Finish came out with clearer glassware and without the 'dishwashed' squeaky feeling. However, that ought to be the case given the price difference.

Q3. Finish Power and Pure is made with fewer chemicals, would you prefer to use dishwasher tablets with fewer chemicals? If so, why? If not, why not?
That is preferable, but not essential to me.

Q4. Do you think you’d be likely to buy it again in future? If so, why? If not, why not?
I might if they were on offer, but they are expensive compared to others.

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Finish Power and Pure to friends and family?
No.

On the back of the packet Finish state that the tablet should not be used in the cutlery tray. My dishwasher has prongs in the detergent drawer and the manufacturer's (Fisher & Paykel) recommendation is that tablets should be put in the cutlery tray. I tried one in the drawer and it had to be pierced to fit (not recommended by either party) and did not dissolve. Using the tablets in the cutlery tray has produced results equal to the Fairy Platinum I have been using previously.

The zip lock seal is rather a long way down the packet from the tear off top. I got a paper cut resealing it.

Q1. What was your overall impression of Finish Power and Pure?
I liked the appearance of them. They also made the dishwasher smell pleasant while it was running. I was a bit worried that they wouldn't fit in the powder compartment of my (very old) dishwasher, but they did. The ones with the powerball that "stands out" of the tablet don't fit usually. I did think that I will have to be careful to dry my hand before I go in the packet, or there could be a problem with the remaining tablets melting. I liked the packet, it was strong and easy to re-seal.

Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets?
I noticed that things looked more shiny than usual when I opened up the door. I would say they cleaned better than the Aldi ones I often get. They are equally as good as Fairy platinum I think.

Q3. Finish Power and Pure is made with fewer chemicals, would you prefer to use dishwasher tablets with fewer chemicals? If so, why? If not, why not?
It's always good to use fewer unnecessary chemicals, isn't it? I suppose it could have fewer but more virulent/corrosive/environmentally damaging chemicals for all I know though.

Q4. Do you think you’d be likely to buy it again in future? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would buy them again if they were on offer. They are good, but I think I would want to check out the details of the chemicals claim before I bought them for that reason.

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Finish Power and Pure to friends and family?
Yes I would.

Q1. What was your overall impression of Finish Power and Pure?
Very good. Nicely packaged and no residue on my hands!

Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets?
I do think they leave less stains on glasses in particular. Smell very lovely.

Q3. Finish Power and Pure is made with fewer chemicals, would you prefer to use dishwasher tablets with fewer chemicals? If so, why? If not, why not?
I have to be honest, with the price of everything these days, I'd shamelessly go for the cheaper option - ideally finish - if it was minus the chemicals and cheaper , I'd probably go for the cheaper option. I do like that this product is lesser on chemicals, if the price is reasonable it could help a decision, but wouldn't be my biggest swaying factor in buying.

Q4. Do you think you’d be likely to buy it again in future? If so, why? If not, why not?
Depends on the price. I buy Finish All in One when on offer, I do consider them to be superior.

Yes, I was overall impressed with the product.

Q1. What was your overall impression of Finish Power and Pure?

Easy to use as you don't have to remove a wrapper. Prefer the tablets in a box as its easier to store under the sink rather than a bag.

Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets?

As effective. I noticed the glasses seemed to be shinier.

Q3. Finish Power and Pure is made with fewer chemicals, would you prefer to use dishwasher tablets with fewer chemicals? If so, why? If not, why not?

Sounds like a good idea to have less chemicals as long as they still perform well, which these do.

Q4. Do you think you’d be likely to buy it again in future? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, if it is on offer. At £12 for 27 tablets it is very expensive. I have just bought Finish tablets at £7.99 for 72 tablets.

  1. Overall impression was good. Easy to open and store packaging.

  1. More effective than my usual tablets. Haven't had to re wash anything.

  1. Less chemicals is always preferable without losing any cleaning properties. Do try and use the minimum amount of chemicals in the kitchen.

  1. Would choose to buy again over another brand if the price were competitive. Only ever buy dishwasher products when on offer.

Q1. What was your overall impression of Finish Power and Pure?

Very good. Glasses were particularly clean and many items were 'squeaky clean' when rubbed which doesn't usually happen with regular finish. The sealable bag was great - particularly as the tabs are unwrapped so would amalgamate into a big mass if the contents got damp

Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets?

Better than regular finish. On a par with fairy for most things, but better than fairy on glasses and stuck on food like welded on toddler breakfast (weetabix) and lasagne dishes

Q3. Finish Power and Pure is made with fewer chemicals, would you prefer to use dishwasher tablets with fewer chemicals? If so, why? If not, why not?

tbh, I'm most interested in it working. If it is a choice between two things that work and one is lighter on chemical impact then I'll chose the latter as I'd rather not have a house rammed full of nasties when there are young kids about

Q4. Do you think you’d be likely to buy it again in future? If so, why? If not, why not?

depends on price point. v good cleaning but 45p a wash for tab alone (so 70 plus p a wash including water and heating) is far too much. I wait for offers.
Tesco currently has this offer on which is more like the price point I look for - Finish All in 1 Powerball Power & Pure Dishwasher Tablets (50) was £16.00 now £8.00(16p/Tablet)

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Finish Power and Pure to friends and family?

Most definitely. Is the best dishwasher tablet I've tried. Get the price point right and I think you have a really good product that'll sell really well

Q4. Do you think you’d be likely to buy it again in future? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes we will definitely be buying these again.
