Q1. What was your overall impression of Finish Power and Pure?

Really liked the packaging and the added bonus of no packet opening. Also the pleasant clean smell.

Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets?

Actually really surprised! I usually use Fairy and my glasses and cutlery don't always come out as clean as I would like. With these Finish tablets, my glasses and cutlery were sparkling clean and smelt really clean and fresh.

Q3. Finish Power and Pure is made with fewer chemicals, would you prefer to use dishwasher tablets with fewer chemicals? If so, why? If not, why not?

To be honest, it is an advantage but cost is a bigger factor to me. Being a busy working mum on a budget, I am likely to pick up dishwasher tablets that are on special offer rather than the 'fewer chemicals' factor.

Q4. Do you think you’d be likely to buy it again in future? If so, why? If not, why not?

If they were on special offer I would. At their present price, I am afraid they are far too dear.

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Finish Power and Pure to friends and family?

Yes I would. They definitely have superior cleaning quality compared to other brands.

firawla · 04/02/2014 11:57

Q1. What was your overall impression of Finish Power and Pure?

I found them good. My first impression was positive as I trust finish and the packaging and format looked quite similar to finish quantum which I already use and find good

Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets?

I found them effective, they cleaned very well. I can't notice a lot of difference between these and finish quantum

Q3. Finish Power and Pure is made with fewer chemicals, would you prefer to use dishwasher tablets with fewer chemicals? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, I prefer this its more reassuring as we have young children

Q4. Do you think you’d be likely to buy it again in future? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I would. They clean very well and fewer chemicals has to be a good thing

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Finish Power and Pure to friends and family?

Yes I would

Q1. What was your overall impression of Finish Power and Pure?
I liked the compact packaging and the fact that it's supposed to stagger the cleaning of dishes with the 3 different elements to the tablets.

Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets?
I'd say they were as good as the usual ones.

Q3. Finish Power and Pure is made with fewer chemicals, would you prefer to use dishwasher tablets with fewer chemicals? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, as I feel less chemicals would be better as I worry about the amount of residues left with washing things (be they clothes or dishes etc.)

Q4. Do you think you’d be likely to buy it again in future? If so, why? If not, why not?
Possibly not, as the cost per pack is quite high. If they were on offer at a reasonable price then I'd consider stocking up.

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Finish Power and Pure to friends and family?
I'd recommend them as an alternative to whatever friends/family were using. I'll be dishing some of the pack out to friends so they can have a few washes to see for themselves.

GrasshopperNchipmunk · 04/02/2014 16:01

Q1. What was your overall impression of Finish Power and Pure?
Looks like a good, clean product which also smells nice. Packaging makes it look like a good quality product. Doesn't make a mess like some of the tablets/ powder when getting them out of there wrapper/ packaging.

Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets?
I thought the tablets worked better than a lot of the cheaper tablets I have used. The glass wear was clean and sparkling, and all the crockery/ cutlery was cleaned to a good standard.

Q3. Finish Power and Pure is made with fewer chemicals, would you prefer to use dishwasher tablets with fewer chemicals? If so, why? If not, why not?
I love this. Of course I would always seek to use fewer chemicals where possible! Especially with little ones in the home. In the past, with some of the other brands I have used, I have been able to taste a chemical residue on the glasses/ cups - this has not been apparent with these tablets which is good.

Q4. Do you think you’d be likely to buy it again in future? If so, why? If not, why not?
Only if the cost is affordable to us - this is not that I think the product is worth the cost, but more about us living on a shoe string at the moment :-(

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Finish Power and Pure to friends and family?
Yes of course.

CMOTDibbler · 04/02/2014 16:05

Q1. What was your overall impression of Finish Power and Pure? Very good - smelt nice
Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets? I was suprised how good they were - the porridge bowls actually came out clean for a change
Q3. Finish Power and Pure is made with fewer chemicals, would you prefer to use dishwasher tablets with fewer chemicals? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes, I like to reduce chemical use
Q4. Do you think you’d be likely to buy it again in future? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes, if on offer. I might mix and match to use when I have a really dirty load
Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Finish Power and Pure to friends and family? Yes

AcaciaBeez · 04/02/2014 16:10

Q1. What was your overall impression of Finish Power and Pure?
GGood nice smell
Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets? Similar I'd say, still a few dirty bits
Q3. Finish Power and Pure is made with fewer chemicals, would you prefer to use dishwasher tablets with fewer chemicals? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes because I worry about the environment
Q4. Do you think you’d be likely to buy it again in future? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, but probably on offer because it's a bit more expensive
Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Finish Power and Pure to friends and family?
Yes

shirazplease · 04/02/2014 17:16

Q1. What was your overall impression of Finish Power and Pure?

Liked the packaging and no faffy wrappers to deal with.

Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets?

Really liked it. I usually use the Finish in the box, but this left glasses feeling and looking shiny. No squeaky residue. I also noticed that the inside of the dishwasher was gleaming.

Q3. Finish Power and Pure is made with fewer chemicals, would you prefer to use dishwasher tablets with fewer chemicals? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would prefer to use a product with fewer chemicals, but as an added bonus with this product, there's no compromise on cleaning ability.

Q4. Do you think you’d be likely to buy it again in future? If so, why? If not, why not?

I'm afraid at £12, they're just far too expensive. I'd definitely choose them if they were on promotion though.

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Finish Power and Pure to friends and family?

Definitely.

CommanderShepard · 04/02/2014 17:49

Q1. What was your overall impression of Finish Power and Pure?
Much like the other Quantum tablets, but lovely smell. Half worried I was supposed to put them in the washing machine...

Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets?
I don't honestly think that they were any better than the other Finish tablets but I do like not having the plastic wrappers to have to throw away.

Q3. Finish Power and Pure is made with fewer chemicals, would you prefer to use dishwasher tablets with fewer chemicals? If so, why? If not, why not?
painful comma splice there, MN I would; the list of ingredients is pretty fearsome. I think a dishwasher is far more efficient than handwashing but I worry about what's going into the water supply to compensate. That said, these cleaned as well as any other good tablet I've used - 'eco' tablets in the past have been rubbish.

Q4. Do you think you’d be likely to buy it again in future? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, if they were on offer. The price point is very steep and I normally buy in bulk to economise.

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Finish Power and Pure to friends and family?
Yes, I think so.

RayPurchase · 04/02/2014 18:09

Q1. What was your overall impression of Finish Power and Pure?

I like the packaging, not having to take the wrapper off before using is always a bonus!

Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets?

I normally use Finish Powerball and haven't noticed a massive difference. They both clean very well.

Q3. Finish Power and Pure is made with fewer chemicals, would you prefer to use dishwasher tablets with fewer chemicals? If so, why? If not, why not?

I tend to just go for value for money products without paying much attention to the chemicals in them.

Q4. Do you think you’d be likely to buy it again in future? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would buy them if they were on offer, bt I think £12 for 27 washes is very expensive.

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Finish Power and Pure to friends and family?

Only if I had seen them on offer somewhere.

mmjb · 04/02/2014 20:11

Q1. What was your overall impression of Finish Power and Pure?
I liked the aroma it has a nice pleasant smell,I liked the compact packaging and the individual tablet packaging which kept the individual tablets from crumbling and leaking into each other

Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets?
I found it great got my plates and dishes really clean with no residue unlike some tablets I have used in the past.

Q3. Finish Power and Pure is made with fewer chemicals, would you prefer to use dishwasher tablets with fewer chemicals? If so, why? If not, why not?
Definatley with fewer chemicals,as I have very young children, although to be honest if having fewer chemicals affected the price ie they were more exspensive then price at the moment would be what I would look for

Q4. Do you think you’d be likely to buy it again in future? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would if the price was right, but if I found a product cheaper then im afraid I would go for that product

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Finish Power and Pure to friends and family?
Yes definatley recommend Finish power and pure as it worked really well leaving no residue, although the price would probably be a concern

SuedeEffectPochette · 04/02/2014 23:21

Q1. What was your overall impression of Finish Power and Pure?
I liked the packaging, and the smell when I took the tabs out. It seemed like a quality product.

Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets?
Everything seemed more shiny. I was pleased that there was not a chemical type residue as can happen with some tablets.

Q3. Finish Power and Pure is made with fewer chemicals, would you prefer to use dishwasher tablets with fewer chemicals? If so, why? If not, why not?
Given that these are chemicals you are likely to ingest (on plates etc) it seems like a clever marketing idea to have a product with fewer chemicals and this aspect appealed to me.

Q4. Do you think you’d be likely to buy it again in future? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, if it was not too expensive. I like to pay 10p per wash as my target price for tablets.
Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Finish Power and Pure to friends and family?
Yes, but let's face it, it's not really going to come up in conversation is it?!

WHAT I REALLY DO NOT LIKE ABOUT THIS PRODUCT IS THE HEADING ON THE PACKAGING THAT IT CONTAINS LESS CHEMICALS. IT DOES NOT CONTAIN LESS CHEMICALS. IT CONTAINS FEWER CHEMICALS. PLEASE, FINISH MARKETING/PACKAGING DEPARTMENT, EMPLOY SOMEONE WHO KNOWS ABOUT THE DIFFERENCE. PEDANTIC RANT OVER!

LackaDAISYcal · 05/02/2014 01:40

Mine haven't arrived yet either Sad Hope this isn't going to be another Flora fiasco MN!!

LackaDAISYcal · 05/02/2014 01:42

lol SuedeEffect, I thought waht is she shouting about... then read your post and totall agree!!

Fillybuster · 05/02/2014 11:24

Still waiting for mine as well :(

IorekByrnisonsArmour · 05/02/2014 13:30

The product arrived today. I will be back to review after using.

WhitegoldWielder · 05/02/2014 13:32

Q1. What was your overall impression of Finish Power and Pure?

Pleased with the product. Prefer tablets that have no wrapper to remove. Clean well and love that there is no over powering smell when you open the dishwasher.

Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets?

Finish was always the brand of choice for me. However the last two years I have found that they only clean slightly better than supermarket own brands and would only buy them when on offer. In my opinion Fairy tablets are the best brand for cleaning all types of crockery, glasses and pots and pans but I don't like the smell and found that glasses in particular were never pleasant to use without rinsing them several times to get rid of the taste of Fairy.
Finish Power and Pure are better than my current supermarket brand and I believe they are also better than the other Finish products available.

Q3. Finish Power and Pure is made with fewer chemicals, would you prefer to use dishwasher tablets with fewer chemicals? If so, why? If not, why not?

It totally depends on what the chemicals are! Fewer is not necessarily better but getting rid of surplus ones is a good idea. If you've remove the perfume then that's a bonus.

Q4. Do you think you’d be likely to buy it again in future? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I would buy them as they clean better than some tablets and have less smell than some tablets but probably when they are on offer depending on the price per tablet. I would not buy them at the RRP.

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Finish Power and Pure to friends and family?

Yes I would.

Millipedewithherfeetup · 05/02/2014 17:57
  1. Nice pacaging, looked expensive and top of the range, quality and performance was good.
2.My usual brand is tescos own, finish is totally superior, even my dishwasher insides were cleaner ! 3.i like the idea of fewer chemicals as long as I get good results, 4.I would definitely buy this product again, perhaps only uing 2/3 times per week when ive used a lot of cooking utensils/pots etc.or sunday roasting pans.
  1. Yes for sure.
ChippyMinton · 05/02/2014 18:06

Mine just arrived - who didn't put enough postage on? Tsk Wink.

I've just put a load on, including a scrambled egg pan, so will report back.

HappyMum4 · 05/02/2014 20:51

Been using them a few days now, and I'm still impressed at their cleaning ability, I've particarly noticed the glassware which quite often comes out with a sort of crust still inside them, but do far, they have literally been sparkling and completely clean, haven't had to leave a single dish or plate to re-wash. Great news about the fact you can get 50 for £8 at Tescos, try that tomorrow because I would like to keep using them.

Shakey1500 · 05/02/2014 21:14

Hello! Sorry I'm late posting feedback (work, DH broken wrist/arm long story) Anyhow...

Q1. What was your overall impression of Finish Power and Pure?

To be honest I didn't find the overall performance that different from other, cheaper tablets.

Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets?

Only slightly better in the "less streakage on my wine glass (es)" stakes.

Q3. Finish Power and Pure is made with fewer chemicals, would you prefer to use dishwasher tablets with fewer chemicals? If so, why? If not, why not?

I'm really not fussed as long as they do the job and are good value for money.

Q4. Do you think you’d be likely to buy it again in future? If so, why? If not, why not?

I'm leaning towards a "no" because I can put up with a couple of streaks if it means a lower price point.

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Finish Power and Pure to friends and family?

Not really, I'd be just as candid.

I just think they are, when all's said and done, a luxury item. I wouldn't compromise on certain essentials in my life but dishwasher tablets I can happily compromise on.

Thanks for letting me test them though Thanks

solitudehappiness · 05/02/2014 21:20

Q1. What was your overall impression of Finish Power and Pure?
Liked the fact they use less chemicals. Compact and didn't need to wash my hands after putting into the machine, due to the plastic covering which I really liked. Also liked the compact packaging, less wastage and easier to store.

Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets?
I usually use Finish tablets but noticed a fresh smell after the cycle had ended. Dishes were clean, but not radically different.

Q3. Finish Power and Pure is made with fewer chemicals, would you prefer to use dishwasher tablets with fewer chemicals? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, I'd prefer to use less chemicals. I'm concerned with the environment and less chemicals is a great idea and one I'd definitely approve of.

Q4. Do you think you’d be likely to buy it again in future? If so, why? If not, why not?

If they were on offer, then I'd buy.

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Finish Power and Pure to friends and family?

Yes, I'd tell them to try them and then check out which supermarket had them on offer :)

jaamy · 06/02/2014 11:28

Q1. What was your overall impression of Finish Power and Pure?

Found the smell quite sicky (yes, sicky, not sickly) but unlike other tabs smell didn't linger after wash. Look just like the other Quantum tabs.
Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets?
Was pleasantly surprised as have been using Quantum and expected similar results. Glasses were definitely cleaner and silverwear is brighter with no streaks. And no lingering smell either. Very Grin
Q3. Finish Power and Pure is made with fewer chemicals, would you prefer to use dishwasher tablets with fewer chemicals? If so, why? If not, why not?
Definitely, if the results are just as good, if not better than chemical alternatives.
Q4. Do you think you’d be likely to buy it again in future? If so, why? If not, why not?
Would definitely buy if on offer. But would look for these rather than any other. I only ever buy dishwasher tabs when they are on offer and stock up, otherwise too expensive.
Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Finish Power and Pure to friends and family?
Yes, if they could find it on offer.

MTBMummy · 06/02/2014 13:17

Q1. What was your overall impression of Finish Power and Pure?
Ours only arrived yesterday so put the first wash on last night, we washed a normal days worth of dishes, and it did a great job. Just put on a quick wash, so it'd be interesting to see if it still works as well

Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets?
It easily removed baked on stuff from a glass bowl which normally needs a second go or a hand wash.

Q3. Finish Power and Pure is made with fewer chemicals, would you prefer to use dishwasher tablets with fewer chemicals? If so, why? If not, why not?
I always prefer products that have less chemicals in them, however my experience of them is that they typically aren't as good. I'm really impressed that these tablets did what appears to be a better job with less chemicals

Q4. Do you think you’d be likely to buy it again in future? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would, but would definitely keep my eye out for when it's on offer as it's a bit more expensive than the normal powerball all in one that we use

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Finish Power and Pure to friends and family?
Yes, would happily recommend it, to be honest, I'm gutted that our package arrived damaged and water had gotten in so we've only bee able to salvage about half of them

Thanks for choosing us to test

babybrain12 · 06/02/2014 14:41

Q1. What was your overall impression of Finish Power and Pure?
Smelled lovely. Packaging didn't immediately indicate that there were less chemicals.

Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets?
I haven't really noticed a difference, except maybe glasses are a little clearer.

Q3. Finish Power and Pure is made with fewer chemicals, would you prefer to use dishwasher tablets with fewer chemicals? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, I am keen to use 'greener' cleansing products where possible. I use some others in the home. Better for environment / water quality.

Q4. Do you think you’d be likely to buy it again in future? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes. But may depend on price and special offers.

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Finish Power and Pure to friends and family?
Maybe, they could be appealing to some people I know.

hnl · 06/02/2014 15:59

Q1. What was your overall impression of Finish Power and Pure?
It was very good. Well packaged, nice smell. Effective cleaning. Very impressed!

Q2. How effective did you find Finish Power and Pure compared to your usual dishwasher tablets?
At least as effective, if not more so. Noticably less residue and was better than my usual tablets because there was no half dissolved tablet wedged in the cutlery basket when I opened the door!

Q3. Finish Power and Pure is made with fewer chemicals, would you prefer to use dishwasher tablets with fewer chemicals? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, absolutely. Better for the environment and better for me and my family.

Q4. Do you think youd be likely to buy it again in future? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, I would buy it again if I could find it at a good price.

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Finish Power and Pure to friends and family?
Yes, I have already recommended it to a friend.
