This thread is for the 400 Mumsnetters trying out the new Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner.

Here's what Mr Muscle say about the product: "Mr Muscle® Touch-Up Cleaner offers a fast and convenient solution to kill 99.99% of bacteria and to clean the most frequently used surfaces in the home. The inventive new design makes it easy to clean surfaces and kill bacteria; simply push down on the pump to apply the formula onto a cleaning material such as a paper towel, cleaning cloth or sponge. Then, just wipe the surface clean."

Below are a few questions we'd like you to answer but please feel free to add your own comments too. Please also let us know which Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner you're testing.

  • How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?
  • How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
  • Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
  • The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?

  • What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

Very pleased to receive mine (got the bathroom one)

  • How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?- very easy indeed- one twist of the cap and pump to dispense the cleaner onto a cloth (first try was a bit of a volcano but I think that was just me!). I was pleased to be able to twist the cap shut again although this is not a child proof device so perhaps a warning needs to be displayed regarding this. I suspect it could be left on the 'open setting' if out of reach of small children for ease of use.

  • How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner? I was very pleased with the cleaning result, tiles and ceramics shining almost as if I had used Mr Muscle window cleaner which i do use to clean tiles and all my stainless steel radiators bins etc. My bathroom had not got in a really really bad way so I am not sure how it would have tackled a post rugby match bath from my son but was great for a general clean.

  • Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner? I think I will as can be left on display so very handy to use quickly and easily to keep things sparkling. I think I would use it every few days to keep on top of things especially in the bathrooms and kitchen workshops would be daily/several times per day.

  • The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not? I think I will, the amount of product needed to use for a clean appears to be small so my initial thought is good value for the price with good cleaning results.

  • Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas? I have also used at work to clean my desk and computer - and looked and smelt really nice (it got delivered to work in case you think I have lost the plot or think I have my desk in my loo) the fragrance is very light and pleasant so fine to use elsewhere without a bleachy odour and the packaging states safe to use on all manner of areas.

  • What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner? Very nice shining clean result, packaging attractive enough to be left on show and ease of use with kitchen roll which is better value than wipes.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not? Yes I would

It is odd how so many have not arrived. Maybe they are sending them out in batches as there are so many? I'm still hopeful they will arrive eventually...

Over a week since I got the e-mail and it looks as though that's all I am going to get //sad. Post has just been delivered and no Mr Muscle, well, unless it has been cunningly disguised as yet another charity begging letter //grin. Anyway, am feeling rather envious of those who have received theirs, as it sounds very good from the reviews so far.

Got the bathroom cleaner and used this over several days with the following results:

  • Very easy to use and the dispenser meant no more spray cleaner over everything where I did not want it
  • It was effective and as good as other products in the range since it is the main brand I use
  • This replaced my current bathroom cleaner
  • £2.99 is reasonable price which I would pay for a product I liked
  • I would like a similar dispenser for window cleaner since I found the dispenser useful
  • I liked it cleaning power
  • Yes, would recommend since handy and economical in design

Many thanks for letting me be a tester

Have used it a bit more now, definitely easy to use and effective on tiles, window, sink etc

I've probably used it more regularly that my other cleaning products in bathroom because its easy to use however, it is more expensive than the other products I use, so I probably wouldn't buy it again, but only on the basis of the price

I like the idea of the kitchen one and would use that even more often than the bathroom one, tho again the price would put me off

However I like the design and I would recommend it to friends

I've been using the bathroom cleaner for about a week.

Found it very easy to use. Though as a previous poster said upthread, one pump of the dispenser is enough at one time otherwise you can get a volcano effect!
Really effective, made taps shiny and cleaned the toothpaste marks away. I particularly liked you can use it with loo paper. Meant I could give the sink a bit of a mid week spruce up.

Yes definitely used it more than my usual spray cleaner, probably used it every 3 days rather than my usual weekly clean.

£2.99 is more than the spray cleaner and wipes I use. In the age of austerity I'd be interested to know how many pumps it dispenses per bottle
That may decide it for me, but I'd still be tempted anyway!

Anywhere else round the house? Not that I can think of, it's perfect for the kitchen and bathroom.

I particularly liked ease of use and the appearance of the packaging. It looked and smelt very fresh.

Yes I'd recommend it.

I'm testing the bathroom cleaner. To be honest, I wasn't sure if I would use it much as I prefer 'proper' cleaning to spot cleaning, but I have been impressed so far, I have used it to wipe up little spills and marks a few times and its a great product,
