I'm loving it - i use it on a piece of kitchen roll to mop up small spills and messes, and the smell is very fresh and clean. I think it looks fine, i have it on the windowsill so its easy to reach. very easy to use, and effective. definitely use it more frequently than i was using cleaners! i would probably buy it again. not sure re the bathroom one as not sure i would use it as much, and not sure if it need be a different one to this one? why would a bathroom cleaner be different?

i like its ease of use and fragrance, and would recommend it.

traceofinsanity · 20/09/2013 19:29

Returning back to comment re cleaning of gas hob as promised (although a little late, sorry). This is not ideal for cooker as by the time you get to the spills they've usually been cooked on a bit (in my household at least!) so I've found you need the extra cleaning power of a spray which you can leave on for a minute if necessary. However, this is not really what this cleaner was designed for so not a negative point in my view. I'm still using the product lots on kitchen surfaces and still really like it. It's on half price offer at tesco's and morrisons at the moment too so have stocked up. Definitely getting through it too quickly to buy at full price as there's not that much in the bottle compared to other cleaners.

smokinaces · 20/09/2013 19:35

Ok, so its been a few weeks. And honestly? Im not sold.

Its good as an antibacterial spray in the bathroom. But it doesn't clean. I need cream cleaner or foam or similar. Its good for wiping taps and toilet, and I like the dispenser and the ease and the fact you can just put some on loo roll etc. But its gimmickamy and expensive imo, I much prefer a bottle of cream cleaner and a spray antibac for touch Ups.

I will keep using it, but once its gone I doubt I will ever replace it.

  • How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use? Once I figured out you had to remove the sticker from the top it was quite easy to use.
  • How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner? It was good at doing touch ups. Not so good for a good clean.
  • Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?not really.
  • The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not? Unlikely as the price is too much. If it was on offer like it is now at tesco then u might consider it.
  • Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas?not really as these are the 2 main areas which need a product to clean.
  • What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner? I liked how the cleaner was dispensed.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not? I would because I liked the smell and it was good at cleaning.

I tried the mr muscle kitchen cleaner. I thought it was a great product for a quick wipe over kitchen surfaces. Its really easy and convenient to use. Its compact size meant I could leave it on the kitchen window sill and it didn't look out of place. Has a lovely fresh clean smell. I would recommend and would buy again and will probably try the bathroom one aswell.

Mauler · 20/09/2013 22:24

I opted to test the Bathroom variant of the Mr Muscle Touch Up Cleaner.

Yes, this product was easy to use in that the product was absorbed by the cloth and I could determine the areas I wanted to clean. A spray can sometimes cover more area than you may want to clean i.e. the taps or shower handle etc.

It was an effective product i.e. it cleaned the bathroom without leaving marks and streaks. (That said, I havent really found a product that does leave streaks in fairness).

I wouldnt say I used this more often, I just replaced my usual cleaner with this product during the test. I don't think I would use the touch up for the bathroom in the way it is intended. For me, when I clean the bathroom I normally take a couple of products with me. The idea of a touch up cleaner in my opinion is one to leave out on the counter. I wouldnt have this displayed in the bathroom.

No I would probably not buy the bathroom cleaner at RRP £2.99 as I think that there are other brands and products that do the same job at a lower price. I would however buy the kitchen variant of this product as I think I would use it more often as I am constantly wiping down work surfaces with pets and a young baby to deal with. I like the convenience and ease of use to deal with quick cleans.

I think the shape lends itself well to be a product that is left out and about, otherwise I would most probably just use a spray which is stored under the cupboard!

I would recommend this product yes, because I trust the brand and quality of the product. If you are stuck for time and want a quick clean then this is the product for you!

MsInterpret · 21/09/2013 10:17

I was testing Mr Muscle bathroom cleaner

How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?
Very easy to use, even one handed which is useful when you have children! Sometimes the product squirted out beyond the tissue I was using which was a bit annoying.

How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

Very good for mirrors and shiny surfaces like bathroom taps etc, which is ewhat I mainly used it for.

Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

I tended to give a few areas of the bathroom a quick refresh while the children were in the bath/after changing a nappy/as needed really so much more regularly than other products.

The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?

Undecided. I might do but I'd look for it being on offer probably as I think £2.99 is a tad steep.

Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas?
Maybe a polishing one that you could use quickly on dusty icture frames or surfaces in the living room?

What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
Easy to just use as saw the issue rather than thinking 'better do that next time I'm cleaning' or to have the effort of going to find the product before tackling the issue.

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not? Yes i would. It's done the job asked of it and helped me stay on top of the cleaning more easily.

Thanks for letting me test!

I've been using the kitchen cleaner for a couple of weeks and have been really impressed. I especially like the smell, its very lemony and fresh and makes my kitchen smell lovely!

  • How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?

Really simple, I like the dispenser style, although sometimes it can fountain up a bit if I don't have the cloth over it properly!

  • How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

Pretty good, actually. I like Mr Muscle products anyway, so was expecting it to do a good job, and even though its a surface cleaner it managed to get up some milk that had spilled over a saucepan onto the hob. I ddnt clean it up until the next morning, and it had dried overnight, so I was impressed it was so effective.

  • Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

Probably about the same, but that might be because I'm not used to having it in my kitchen yet! It's handy for a quick last thing wipe over so I know the kitchen is clean when I come down in the morning.

  • The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?

I'd buy the bathroom cleaner to see how well it does, partly because I'm impressed by the kitchen product, and partly because it would be nice to have something small in the bathroom to use to clean up instead of the massive cans and bottles we've got at the moment!

  • Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas?

If they have a baby friendly version I would use it on the highchair and my DD's eating 'areas' and to clean the toys when they need it. I have another brand that I use for DD's things that I know is child friendly. Would it be cheeky to ask for a glove box sized dash and steering wheel cleaner? Grin

  • What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

It is effective, reasonably priced and doesn't take up as much room as other cleaning products. The bottle is quite easy on the eye too.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not?

Yes I would, and have. My mum bought some the other day when I was telling her about it in the supermarket! I'l be recommending it to new mums, as it is a 'one handed' friendly product.

Thanks for letting me try it, I'll be buying a new one when this one runs out!

thekatsatonthematt · 22/09/2013 22:41

I have been using the kitchen cleaner. And love it!

  • How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?
Very easy to use, and lovely smell.
  • How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
It has been brilliant on my kitchen worktops. We've got stupid high gloss veneer ones, that show up every water mark. This product leaves them all shiny and gorgeous!
  • Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?I've been using it each time I clean down the worktops. So after every meal. And because it works so well I do all the worktops as I can see the cats footprints on the worktops that I haven't actually used IYSWIM!
  • The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?
I will, but probably not at full price, or in addition to other cheaper products.
  • What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
The smell and packaging.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not?
I already have, and both my Mum and SIL have purchased some on the back of my comments!
CoolaSchmoola · 22/09/2013 22:46
  • How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?

It was very simple to use, but as I don't keep cloths in the bathroom and don't like cleaning with loo roll I don't think I used it as much as I might have if cloths were kept to hand. I kept wishing it had little pads in a holder underneath! I ended up cutting up a couple of j-cloths into smaller squares and keeping them in the medicine cabinet. Once I did this I used it more, particularly on things like toothpaste blobs in the sink, and to go over taps.

  • How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

When I did use it I found it very effective and it smelt lovely and clean.

  • Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

Initially no, but once I put some cloths in the bathroom I used it daily, at least once, occasionally more. I think I would have used the kitchen one far more as the kitchen has more spills/areas to clean frequently than the bathroom as it is used more.

  • The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?

I don't think I'd buy the bathroom one again, simply because it doesn't really fit with the way I clean in there. I tend to use cloths once then throw them away, so I store them in the utility room and take one up when I clean the bathroom. I would definitely buy the kitchen one however, as that would fit in better with the way I clean in there.

  • Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas?

The playroom - an anti bacterial pump for cleaning up after children, would be great.

  • What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

Ease of use (once I had a cloth!)

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not?

Yes I would.

HippoPottyMouth · 23/09/2013 06:31
  • How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?

V easy although I / the walls did get squirted a few times before getting the hang of covering the top completely!

  • How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

Good for regular cleaning. Dried on stuff I think you need something to spray on and leave, but that is not the point of this product

  • Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

Probably every few days, I keep forgetting about it and using wipes, but I prefer the idea of this, seems less wasteful

  • The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?

Yes I already have (but it was half price in tesco :))

  • Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas?

A furniture polish version would be great

  • What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

Smell of the bathroom one. Subtle bottle design

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not?

Yes, it's v handy for quick jobs

I had the kitchen one in the trial but as I didn't receive any emails to tell me I'd been selected I'd bought a bathroom one before it arrived! Def prefer the smell of the bathroom one, the citrus kitchen is a bit too sickly smelling / tangerine for me, I would have expected a sharper lemony smell

Thanks very much for letting me try this.

celebmum · 23/09/2013 14:54

Im using the kitchen cleaner.
I am actually quite impressed, I like the style of the bottle and innovative pump feature. Much better than a spray bottle in my opinion. Its very easy to use and i have been leaving the bottle by the sink and used 2/3 times a day (after mealtimes!) much handier than storing under sink! smells lovey, is a really good product too not just a fancy gimmick. my only critisim would be that a little does not really go a long way. my kitchen takes approx 10 pumps onto a dishcloth.. times this by 3x a day and my 240 approx pumps would be used up very quickly! Grin

Choccywoccydodah · 23/09/2013 20:10

Honestly, I'm not keen on it. I find using a good old spray bottle and a leather chammy cloth far more convenient (and more environmentally friendly).

I'm using the kitchen cleaner, and yes it is convenient by just leaving it on the side to use with a paper towel, but I don't like having to use this and another product for stuck on marks.
You can't spread it up as much as a spray as its confined to the one spot on the towel versus a whole area.
I go through a spray bottle every 2 weeks, I'd be lucky if this lasted a week.

Easy to use.
Wouldn't use it for a whole kitchen clean, just for odd spills or marks.
I used my normal spray more regularly.
I think it's well priced, but I'd still use more competitively priced products.
Liked the smell.
Wouldn't recommend as I don't really see the point of it if you've got to use a spray aswell.

Yiasemi76 · 24/09/2013 11:13

How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?

I received the bathroom cleaner and found it very easy. It sits on the window sill and use it with a bit of tissue to wipe over the toilet when needed.

How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

I found it good but not much different to having another disinfectant cleaner only that it is more discreet.

Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

Yes I used it more often especially for the toilet area, because it is so easy to use.

The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?

I think it is quite pricey for what it is, if it goes on offer then would definitely buy it.

Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas?

I can't think of any other areas at the moment, think they are more important areas to keep clean.

What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

Small, compact and discreet.

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not?

Yes, because it is easy to use.

I had the bathroom cleaner.

  • How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?
Easy, very convenient.
  • How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
Okay but didn't replace a proper clean with a spray.
  • Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
I suppose I did but for little clear ups rather than a proper clean
  • The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?
Gimmicky - I still used my spray so certainly wouldn't pay the rrp.
  • Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas?
Not really unless it was a good spot carpet cleaner.
  • What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
Ease of use.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not?
Overpriced so probably not.
OneStepCloser · 24/09/2013 17:46

I had the kitchen cleaner:-

How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?
Very easy, couple of pumps and its ready to go.

How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
Its good for a quick wipe over, but didnt find it great with tougher bits on the worktop or hob.

Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
Right, well I had already bought the Bathroom one which I use daily, very useful, I just grab a piece of kitchen roll and away i go, but the kitchen one, to be honest not as much, I found it quicker to just squirt my normal cleaner as it is better on tougher stains.

The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?
The bathroom one I will definately buy again, not so sure about the kitchen one as I fear it may not get used as much.

Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas?
Cant think of anywhere else you`d use it to be honest.

What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
bathroom one, ease of use and very convenient, does what you want it to do, both had pleasant fragrances though.

*If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not?
Bathroom one yes, kitchen one I`m not so sure about it doesnt really do anything.

muffinheaven · 24/09/2013 18:01

I was sent the bathroom cleaner, and have since purchased the kitchen cleaner as I was impressed with the bathroom one.

  • How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?

It was very easy to use, ready to use after a couple of pumps.

  • How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

It was effective on minor marks. I found if I wiped the sink or taps soon after the marks were made it was easier to wipe off than if the marks had been there a day or so.

  • Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

I am finding that I am using Mr Muscle touch up cleaner more regularly than other cleaning products, probably daily. As I said in previous question, it seems to work better if used more often and it has just become a habit now for me to wipe things down more often.

  • The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?

I think it is quite expensive at £2.99. I have bought the kitchen one on a half price offer so I will probably just stock up when there are offers on rather than pay full price.

  • Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas?

No, I think it is a product most suited to kitchens and bathrooms.

  • What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

I like the fact that it is quick and simple to use, doesn't take up much space and you can just use a bit of loo roll or kitchen roll rather than fetching a cloth.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not?

Yes, already have done !!

celestialbows · 24/09/2013 18:15
  • How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?
I received the kitchen cleaner, it was simple to use.
  • How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
It worked well on most of the stains and surfaces.
  • Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
I used it as part of my usual daily routine then for spot cleaning when accidents occurred .
  • The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?
Possibly, I tend to be a bit of a discount store shopper so I'd be more likely to buy it if it were on offer.
  • Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas?
The carpet, I have small children so no matter how prepared I am the carpet always gets a bit of a battering.
  • What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
The pump action
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not?
Yes I would because the pump action is marginally better for spot cleaning than traditional sprays and the citrus fragrance was a nice change from chemical smells.
RugBugs · 24/09/2013 20:51

We've been testing the kitchen cleaner.
I say we because DP had never cleaned a kitchen surface until I showed him this. He happily uses the cleaner with some kitchen roll to clean up after himself now.
I'd resent paying full price for it but I'd buy it anyway if DP kept using it.
