How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?
I found really easy to use

  • How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
It was effective when cleaning basic mess and marks. Didn't think it worked as well on grease or dried on food.
  • Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
I did use this more often as it was on my window sill.
  • The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?
I think it is too expensive for me. I also don't think it will last as long as a proper spray bottle
  • Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas?
Possible for windows
  • What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
It was easy to use and the smell wasn't over powering
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not?
I would tell them it was easy, handy to use but was rather expensive

Right- had a quick test (kitchen already reasonably clean for a change)

- How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?

Very easy to use- need to keep it out of the reach of dd2 (aged 2) as maybe a bit too easy for small people to be able to mess with Grin
- How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

Was very good on the grubby finger marks on the white appliances, and also on the draining board. Very easy to get shiny taps.

- Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

Have only just got it, so time will tell- but it certainly is easy to use, and doesn't take a lot of room, so it's no hardship to get a cloth and wipe the surfaces down.

- The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?

I think it is a bit on the expensive side (most of my cleaning products tend to be supermarket own brand, cheaper end)- but a little seems to go a long way, and it smells nice.

- Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas?

Would be interested in the bathroom cleaner, if it is as easyas the kitchen one, it would be useful for a quick once over to keep on top of things. A screen cleaner would be good, too.
- What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

Ease of use, packaging and the non-over powering smell. As a touch up cleaner, it does exactly as you would expect. Anyone expecting it to be up to a deep clean might be disappointed.

- If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not?

If it came up in conversation, I would probably recommend it, as a useful addition to cleaning products around the house.

redgate · 29/08/2013 11:30

Yay it is here :) First impressions, I like the design of the container - though the colour of actual product is a bit grim (looks like some sort of sample!) not overkeen on smell, but will see how it goes

CheeryCherry · 29/08/2013 11:47

I was sent the kitchen touch up cleaner, I found it simple to use. I found it very effective and have used it instead of my usual citrus cleaner, though I did use Cif creme for stubborn stains in my ceramic sink. I have used it at least twice a day and I like the subtle scent, its not too overpowering. I like the size and shape and lack of huge label - I don't mind leaving it out on show.
I would probably buy it on special offer, but that may change when I see how long it lasts...it does seem to be going a long way.
I only tend to use polish and carpet cleaning products for the rest of the house so not sure any other product would be useful, unless it was a polish.
I like the size/shape/subtlety of the bottle, the scent and it cleans effectively.
I would definitely recommend it, especially for my mum who struggles with twist&turn nozzles. It is fool proof packaging.
Thank you for letting me trial this product!

aristocat, mine hasn't arrived either. I'm not losing sleep over it Grin

ThermoBoy · 29/08/2013 13:30

I am testing the bathroom version.

  1. Very easy to use, once I got the hang of it. I did spurt some up my arm on the first attempt though.
  2. I did find it effective for a quick wipe round. I had previously been using ecloths for this, but have found these not as effective on bathroom grime, so this just gives it an extra help. I also like a nice clean smell which obviously ecloths don't give. However I don't really like the smell of this. I find it too sweet and like sherbert. I prefer a fresher scented product.
  3. I love the concept and could easily see me using it daily to keep on top of things to cut down on the need to do a deep clean so frequently. I think it looks good and because it sits out on the shelf, I am more likely to use it.
  4. I think its expensive, so would only buy on offer. I would like to see refills available to cut down on the cost. Infact I would probably try and refill it myself with a cheaper product rather than pay £2.99.
  5. I like to do damp dusting with microfibre cloths but again, dislike the fact that this doesn't leave a nice smell, so maybe a dusting formula. But really, as others have said, the main point is that you want this in places where you would use it every day and I certainly don't dust every day!
  6. What I liked most was how it looks so I am happy to leave it out on the shelf and would be happy to leave it on the work surface in the kitchen.
  7. I might recommend but probably not at this price point and without the ability to buy refills.
General comments would be great concept. I reckon you could produce different colour bottles so that people can co-ordinate with their decor, and you could potentially charge a little more for the starter kit, and then sell refills at a lower price. As others have said, I would like one in both bathrooms and I would probably be willing to pay more for a sturdy bottle which I can then refill more cheaply. I also think different fragrances would be good, as I really don't like the bathroom one which would put me off buying. The smell of the method shower spray is great and because of that I use it every day, which is what you want to achieve with this product.
aristocat · 29/08/2013 13:36

Just feeling left out Shatner.

ShatnersBassoon · 29/08/2013 13:48

There's always tomorrow, aristocat. I'll give up thinking about it tomorrow and buy some spray (ran out last week, been using expensive wipes and dashing to the door when the postie comes).

aristocat · 29/08/2013 13:50

Smile I will be looking for the postie tomorrow!

Carriepreston · 29/08/2013 13:56

I'm still waiting too and keep watching for my postie, haven't see her today but think she will have been round by now

How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?

Very easy to use, great that you can use it with a bit of loo roll.

How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
Definitely as effective as other cleaners I have used and has a lovely fresh smell.

Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

Probably use it more than others as it can sit on a bathroom shelf and is quite useful to be able to give the loo a quick wipe during the day(2 boys).

The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?
If it was on a special offer I would certainly buy it again. I have 3 bathrooms so already tend to bulk buy cleaning products I like when they are on offer.

Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas?
possibly a glass one would be good

What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
Effective, smell lovely and great for keeping the bathroom fresh all day long without a big fuss.

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not?
Yes definitely would, really love it.

redgate · 29/08/2013 14:46
  • How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?

Fairly easy, no mess or wastage involved. Great for just doing small bits of cleaning (as it suggests) but would be a faff and a half for anything more than wiping over worktops/sink

  • How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

Great, sorted out everything it came across on my work tops, only using it for quick cleans though. Dealt with my lo's (very sticky) medicine ok. Doesn't leave a residue. Stainless steel sink came up nice. Dries quickly.

The dispenser is easy to use and looks lovely, though the colour of the stuff is a bit m'eh. Smells a bit nasty, if you sniff the bottle, but once used it is ok, not nice, but ok.

  • Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

Yes I did, cause it was there on my worktop I tended to use it, wheras I would have just wiped up with a cloth (or left it) with other products that involve finding/opening/diluting

  • The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?

That is a bit expensive tbh, though I think it will last a long time. Would buy if on offer (though we found in a bargain shop today for £1.79) I probably won't buy the kitchen one again, but think the bathroom one would be fab - and as it's so easy it might encourage other family members to clean, haha, it would be easier and quicker for me to keep on top of it!

  • Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas?

Laminate floors please, or maybe glass? :)

  • What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

It's handiness and how easy it is to use

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not?

Yes, in theory, but I would say it could look and smell nicer!!

redgate · 29/08/2013 14:52

bit of an afterthought but...

  1. Think I will def recomend this to my brother who has a disability, as it is so straightforward to use, you don't have to work out how much to use, and don't need very fine motor skills to dispense it without making a mess
suty1 · 29/08/2013 16:06

Cleaner arrived, 1st impressions nice packaging so happy to leave in bathroom on show, cleans and smells nice, ideal for quick clean up, would probably buy again but just for downstairs loo for guests to use as a bit pricey as everyday cleaner!

MummyBtothree · 29/08/2013 16:08

Im still waiting too....I guess time will tell!!

nancerama · 29/08/2013 16:10

Marking place. Getting bathroom clean with usual cleaner. The whole bathroom needs "touching up" which I think isn't the purpose of this cleaner.

TheOneWithTheHair · 29/08/2013 17:06
  • How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?

It was easy enough but I actually think it's easier to just spray and wipe with my usual cleaner. It seems a bit gimmicky to me.

How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

Again, it was ok. Did the job but it didn't wow me.

Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

I used it the same amount.

The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?

No. It's not better than my regular cleaner and it's more expensive. It doesn't smell as nice either.

Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas?

Not really.

What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

I suppose the fact that it worked.

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not?

No. I didn't think it really had anything to recommend it.

I would just like to add that although I was thoroughly underwhelmed by it, I didn't hate it. It just smacked of trying to con a bit. It is the same as any other cleaner and I thought the pump thing was actually a bit of a faf as it didn't really cover what I needed it to.

Thank you for letting me try it. :)

Kitchen cleaner tested

  • How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?
Very easy to use.
  • How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
Very effective - easily wiped away all the splodges I used it on.
  • Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
Yes, but that's probably because I left it out on the side, so it was more readily available than the other stuff. I used it after preparing each meal.
  • The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why?If not why not?
Undecided. But the price sounds about right.
  • Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas?
No. I don't think I would use it anywhere other than the kitchen.
  • What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
I like that it doesn't look too much like a cleaning product, so ok to keep out on view. I also liked the amount of product dispensed on each squirt.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not?
Erm, yeah, why not. For all the reasons already mentioned.

I don't like the swirly lines on the bottle. I know you're trying to make it look designer-y, but those lines look like some sort of tide-mark or manufacturing flaw.

The fact that you press down on the dispenser with your cleaning cloth means that if you use your cloth/sponge more than once, you transfer kitchen grime from the sponge onto the dispenser. This is Not Good.

Lovescourgettes · 29/08/2013 19:08

I initially found it a bit tricky to use could not dispense enough although I was attempting to spring clean the entire house ..but I have the hang of it now . It was comparible with my usual cleaner no better I do tend to use bleach based ones normally in the bathroom but this smelt much more pleasant . I think I probably did use it more than usual it is a pretty unobtrusive design none of the usual hazard warning signs and neon so it sat happily in the bathroom and from time to time I give the bath a quick wipe down etc . The rrp is absolutely fine . I want a product that can be used in the bathroom and kitchen and anywhere else tbh not bothered about specific products for various rooms . The thing I like best is the pleasant smell and the convenience of being able to dispense a small amount .I don't know whether I have ever recommended a cleaning product in passing to anyone but I am quite pleased with it so I would be quite positive.

GetKnitted · 29/08/2013 20:58

hurrah! I was selected after all :)

SleeplessInBedfordshire · 29/08/2013 21:07

How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?

I trialled the bathroom one. Very easy to use, I liked the fact that I could load up my cleaning cloth using one hand when I was doing the bathroom tiles.

How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

As good as my usual cleaning products.

Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

Yes I used it more regularly because the design makes it seem more accessible (I'd see it and think "oh I'll just wipe the sink quickly.") I've used it almost every day.

The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?

Only if on offer. I only buy cleaning products that are cheap or on offer.

Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas?

Maybe a furniture polish version for cleaning wood.

What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

The design of the bottle.

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not?

Yes, I found it great for cleaning tiles.

  • How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?

It was very easy to use, even while carrying a crying toddler

  • How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

very effective, much better than anticipated

  • Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

  • The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?

It is a bit more than what I would usually pay for cleaning products, but if on offer I will definitely buy again (and stock up)

  • Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas?

I think a multi purpose one would be great, to use in the bedrooms, lounge, dinning room, conservatory....

the ease of use, and the design

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not?
