Still no sign of mine though I got a late email saying I had veen selected. I wonder if my postie has a suspiciously clean kitchen? ?

TeaAndCakeOrDeath · 30/08/2013 08:24

Mine just arrived so will update later/tomorrow depending on how much of a lazy slattern I am!

Happiestinwellybobs · 30/08/2013 09:18

I tested the kitchen product. It did arrive having leaked quite a bit but smelt lovely, as did the packaging and postman Grin

How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?

Upon first use it squirted up like a fountain, but realised I needed to cover the whole of the top.

How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

Gave my work tops, high chair, sink and taps a shine :). I also used it on my French doors and it seems to have given a streak free finish

Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

As it was out on the counter I did use it a little more often, although do use my current spray quite a bit anyway.

The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?

I think it's a bit expensive really, and would probably only buy if it was on offer.

Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas?

Maybe a polish version?

What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

It smelt lovely, and after initial user error was easy to use and have a good finish

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not?

Yes, absolutely

Thanks for letting me try it :)

Bathroom cleaner.

How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?
very easy indeed, though I preferred to use a cloth as I found toile paper disintegrated.

  • How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
Great. I used it mostly for a quick wipe around the taps and I was very impressed with the shine!
  • Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
I definitely used it more often. At least once a day, but often several times a day.
  • The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?
The pack claims something like 240 'dispenses'. I like the product, so if it lives up to the promise, I will definitely buy again. I have already bought the kitchen version to try, based on the effectiveness of the bathroom one.
  • Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas?
I would like to see it in a variety for use in general areas, such as taking a scuff mark off the skirting board or chair rail in the hall - for marks on paintwork in general really.
  • What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner? ease of use and the container which is attractive enough to be left 'on show;. Would like some different scents though - despite it not being as strongly scented as most cleaning products, this still smelled #chemically' to me. I love the warm scents of orange and cinnamon, or of vanilla and honey. I would love my cleaning products to evoke thoughts of warmth and cosiness rather than public toilets!
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not?
yes, I would because it is so easy to use for those 'in-between' times when you want the bathroom etc to be clean but don't have time for the full deep clean, such as when you are dashing out to work!

Thank you for letting me be involved in this test.

CleverClod · 30/08/2013 11:18

Bathroom:

  • How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?

The one touch, push down pump was great once I'd gotten used to it, but I wanted more product on my cloth so used two/three 'squirts'.

  • How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

It was lovely. Got everything bright and shiny. Very useful, it could be used on all surfaces.

  • Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

I didn't use it any more often, I just cleaned in the normal way using the touch up cleaner instead. That being said I would have loved this product in a trigger spray bottle (like other Mr Muscle products) to use for a really deep clean. The push button is too fiddly to use for big cleans.

  • The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?

I agree with others. It is a touch on the expensive side. I would definitely buy it on offer and, if it was a cheaper RRP then I'd probably buy it every week.

  • Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas?

Definitely for the kitchen and possibly other areas too.

  • What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

I liked the smell. It wasn't overpowering, but you could smell it had been cleaned. The packaging was pretty nifty too.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not?

Yes, I'd recommend it. It's a very handy product and made fast work of something which is usually quite tedious.

TallyGrenshall · 30/08/2013 11:21

Just marking my place. I haven't been able to use it yet because I messed my back up so it had better be good, my bathroom is a state!

aristocat · 30/08/2013 12:02

Well, mine finally arrived today and my first impression on opening the packet was the fab smell, like it already Smile

  • How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?
Simple, very easy. Good design and bottle shape.
  • How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
Good, cleans well. Did use more than one squirt each time though. So not sure how long the bottle will last.
  • Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
Possibly - only delivered today but happy to leave it out (rather than in kitchen cupboard) so will wait and see.
  • The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?
£2.99 is rather costly but if it lasts well then I would definitely buy again as very happy with cleaning power.
  • Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas?
A multi-purpose cleaner ..... that could be used for kitchen and bathroom.
  • What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
Can I choose two things, the bottle design and the smell.
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not?
Yes, definitely.

Thanks so much for this test, what a fabulous new product!

Carriepreston · 30/08/2013 13:36

Mine has still not arrived and giving up hope now Sad

HepsibarCrinkletoes · 30/08/2013 13:39

I know I left some feedback yesterday, but want to add that I love it more than I thought! While I still think it's expensive, I will definitely be buying it again. Really impressed with it. Thank you again.

ShatnersBassoon · 30/08/2013 13:40

Mine neither, Carrie. I replied to the email as requested to let MNHQ know. I wonder if some of them leaked too badly to be delivered.

startwig1982 · 30/08/2013 14:22

I'm using the kitchen top up cleaner.

At first I was a bit concerned by how strong the cleaner smelt(it had leaked a little) but actually, it doesn't smell that much when you have used it.
I used it yesterday to clean up after making dinner and found it really easy to use. I used a sponge with it and liked that I didn't need to rinse and one squirt was enough to clean a side.
The price of £2.99 seems pretty reasonable to me and I would definitely buy this! I think the idea of a bathroom one is good as well as I'm always cleaning up little bits and it's a pain to get out a big bottle that needs rinsing afterwards.

I really like this product: the idea and the actual product itself is really good!

ChocolateOrangeforDd · 30/08/2013 14:23

Hooray kitchen cleaner arrived today so will update at weekend.

snowballinashoebox · 30/08/2013 14:38

How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?

very easy to use, I like the dispenser, it works well although wonder how well it pumps when you get near the dregs. Easy locking function and nice stable bottle. Most importantly, it hasn't irritated the eczema on my hands. Usually for a quick spot clean I never remember/find gloves and most products are harsh but this has not irritated my hands at all. However I found the instructions a bit confusing, leave wet for 5 minutes etc.

How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

Fine for what it is intended for. I think taps and basin etc are a bit more shiny with Mr M than with my usual product.

Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

To be honest my bathroom has never looked so clean, so thank you Mr M and mn. Used it daily, sink and taps are very shiny, mirror not so much.

The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?

I am pondering this, usually use Method which lasts a slatten like me ages. I might with a good offer... can see why people liked the kitchen one. Have used it daily and I have found that a little goes a long way and still have lots left.

Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas?

I think I would use a kitchen or bathroom spray in other parts of the house anyway does it matter if I used the bathroom cleaner in the hall to clean up after the cat was sick really? - was very effective btw.

What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

Like the bottle, smell is fine and not too chemically, liked the fact that my hands were not irritated.

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not?

I would if the question arose recommend it, although the price is going to be a bit of a sticky problem for many of us.

mummylovescakes · 30/08/2013 15:06

BATHROOM

How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?

I found it very easy to use and the fact that you can use it with one hand is a huge plus. The design is excellent.

How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

Very effective. It cleaning lots of stubborn stains in the bathroom with ease. My bathroom is now spotless!

Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

Yes I did. It is good for a 'quick' clean. I give the bathroom a much thorough clean every three or four days. I used the Touch up cleaner everyday. It's very handy.

The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?

Not very likely as that is quite pricey. If it was on special offer, I would definitely buy it. I think £1.99 would be a far better price.

Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas?

Not really. The kitchen and bathroom are the only areas that need it. I can't see myself using it anywhere else in the house.

What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

The design and ease of use. The fragrance was quite nice too. It is also has a very subtle and unobtrusive design so no one would really notice it.

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not?

To be honest I don't really talk about bathroom cleaners with my friends, so most probably not!

roguepixie · 30/08/2013 16:10

How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?

How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

  • Very effective product

Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

  • Amusing it more at the moment as am testing it out. Would be likely to use it more often than my other cleaners once the others are used up.

The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?

  • Yes, likely to buy again. Think £2.99 is a good price.

Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas?

  • Touch-Up Cleaner for wood???

What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

  • Convenient bottle, nice smell.

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not?

  • Yes, would recommend it to others - convenience of having one bottle, good price etc.
Fillybuster · 30/08/2013 16:47

It finally arrived...whoop whoop!

Love the smell....lucky, as I got it all over me when I was opening it (oops).

Will provide feedback after the weekend - thank you :)

GwendolineMaryLacey · 30/08/2013 16:58

How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?

Very easy, slightly confusing when I saw it as I'm used to squirting things sideways but that's me being a bit thick :o

How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

As effective as anything else I've used

Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

It's been by the basin a couple of days now and I have fallen into the habit of quickly grabbing a piece of loo roll and wiping anything that catches my eye, which is often as mine are a mucky lot. It feels like less hassle than rooting round in the cupboard for the 'proper' cleaner. Also, my husband might actually clean up after himself!

The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?

Yes I would buy it.

Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas?

Have pondered this and the only other place I can think of that would benefit from spot wiping is the dining table. Maybe something decorative to keep close by would be good.

What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

The bottle which looks good on the side and the upwards pump action. I was slightly concerned that my eldest who is 5 might think it was soap though so I had to keep telling her. The lid doesn't lock (I don't think?) in the way that the squirty bottles do so safety is a slight concern.

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not?

Yes I would. I was a bit doubtful when I first heard about it as I wasn't sure there was a need for this sort of thing but it's pretty nifty actually.

Thank you for letting me test it.

bluebump · 30/08/2013 17:22

I found it really easy to use, I have been using it with a j cloth but like how you could grab a bit of kitchen roll and use it

I thought it was really effective, I have used it to clean my kitchen surfaces, tiles, the stainless steel bin/kettle etc and all have come up clean.

I found I have used it more often than other products in the few days i've got it because previously i'd probably only wipe down surfaces with a cloth using the water from the washing up but as this has sat on the side it's been quite good to use this instead.

It does seem a bit expensive but it looks like it might last a while so yes, I probably would. I definitely would if I saw it on offer.

I liked that it didn't take up too much room on the surface and that although it had a smell the smell wasn't overpowering and didn't last for ages like some cleaners do.

I would recommend the product when discussing it with friends.

Thanks for letting me try it!

Lilyloo · 30/08/2013 18:21

I have a parcel waiting for me at our post office wonder if it may be my cleaner.
Will collect it tomorrow.

  • How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use?

Easy to use although I am an idiot and expected it from the top!

  • How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?
It's a great cleaner and yes, not much muscle of my own needed!
  • Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

I have another Mr Muscle (orange one) that I also use more.

  • The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not?

Quite expensive - so perhaps for grimier jobs...

  • Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas?

I have a grubby outside loo but really can't think of anywhere else.

  • What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner?

It's neat looking, handy, effective.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not?

Perhaps - but as I said before, quite expensive...

fudge65 · 30/08/2013 18:48

This product was very easy to use. I received the kitchen cleaner. Loved the fact it kills 99.9% of germs, great in the kitchen with a messy dog. Love the citrus smell, great aroma. I used it more often than my regular cleaner - little and often works for me for cleaning my kitchen. £2.99 is good value for money as it has 240 dispenses and a little goes a long way. I used it on all areas of the kitchen - sink, worktops and appliances. Cut through greasy areas brilliantly. I love the smell, efficiency, ease of use and stylish bottle. Worked brilliantly on windows too. I would definitely recommend this product.

Bert2e · 30/08/2013 20:04
  • How easy or difficult did you find the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to use? Very easy to use - I don't use kitchen towel much so used a cloth
  • How effective did you find Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner? No better than hot water and washing up liquid or my normal favourite spray bottle of diluted Star drops
  • Did you find that you used Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner more regularly than your other cleaning products or not? If so, how often did you use Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner? I might if it was left out.
  • The RRP for the Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner is £2.99, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not why not? No - Star Drops is much cheaper! I also thought it smelt too much
  • Mr Muscle Touch-Up cleaner is currently available for the kitchen and bathroom. Would you like Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner for other areas of your house? If so, which areas? None - I tried the kitchen cleaner and would use it in the bathroom as well.
  • What did you like most about Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner? Clever squirt bottle
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Mr Muscle Touch-Up Cleaner to your friends/family? If so why? If not, why not? No, seems a bit of a gimmick when a normal cleaner does the same job.
ArtisanLentilWeaver · 30/08/2013 20:15

Ease of use - epic fail. Tiny instructions and I ended up screwing the head off to use it.

How effective?- I received the kitchen one but tried it out on a grubby fireplace and found it did not shift the stains.

Using Mr Muscle Touch-up more regularly than other cleaners? - No, I don't think I will use it as I found Flash gel more effective on stains.

RRP £2.99. No, it is too expensive for what it does.

Available in kitchen or bathroom. Would you use Mr Muscle Touch-up cleaner in other areas. - I tried it on surfaces in the living room, table, mirror but was not taken by its cleaning power.

What did you like best. - Sorry, I did not like it at all although the bottle has a sturdy base. I hated the smell. It smells of sherbert lemons but not in a pleasant way.

Would you recommend to family and friends? No, sorry. It does not clean very well and smells dreadful.

LalaDipsey · 30/08/2013 21:22

Hi, well after a few days it has made it's way up from the kitchen to the bathroom (I received the bathroom one!).
For me, not so useful in the bathroom as there's not really anywhere to put it. I have used it a lot in the kitchen and would, if it was on offer, buy the kitchen one. I would generally not touch up the bathroom so often and rather just deep clean but I touch up the kitchen all the time.
I like the dispenser very much as its one handed so I could clean surfaces whilst holding one of the baby twins with ease!
At £2.99 I would only buy if it was in offer, but would probably get a couple for the kitchen cupboard if it was a pound or so cheaper.
I recommend it on principle to my friends, will update as/when/if I touch up the bathroom with it!

NoodieRoodie · 30/08/2013 21:40

I received the kitchen version.

I found it very easy to use and it seemed very effective on the hob and round the sink. As I keep all my cleaning products under the sink I don't think I would be likely to use it any more or any less than the other cleaners I already have.

I think the price is ok but I tend to only buy cleaning products when they're on offer.

I think that I would be more likely to use the bathroom cleaner more often as due to the package size it would be able to live on top of the units.

I probably would recommend this product to friends as it did give good results
