Oops forgot to say Size 5, 2years 5 months daughter.

ItLooksLikeRainDear · 08/08/2013 22:03

Child aged 3 size 6
Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would
you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

By the time we received them DS was potty trained during the day so we used them at night. They have leaked twice but not sure if they are ideal for night time use. But DD 21 months is showing interest in potty training as she wants to be like her big brother and have bought some for her and she loves them.

Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?
Yes but perhaps Velcro sides easier when you have to change them when wearing trousers.

Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your
children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?
Yes. Very similar but prefer Velcro sides.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up
Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes. A good transition from nappies to underwear.
Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost
below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
Expensive compared to some others, particularly supermarkets own brands but they are often on special offer.

hiyajulie · 09/08/2013 05:56

My little girl is such a wriggler at nappy time that I thought the pull up pants would be a great way to ensure her changing time was a little more stress free than normal. Thankfully i was right!! Its much easier to put on pull up pants back to front than trying to attempt to put a nappy on this way.

Unfortunately my husband didn't realise that the nappies tear off at the sides and pulled them down!! Needless to say he created more of a mess than she did!!hehe!

Having used pampers baby dry and active fit I had high hopes for these nappies and wasn't disappointed. They kept her dry all night and had no leakages or escapes out the side. No matter how full the nappy.

Value for money wise, I do think they are quite expensive. But after paying £10 for 2 packs of shop own brand nappies only for them to constantly leak everywhere. I will definitely be spending that wee bit more and getting pampers. Never any leaks and basically the same value for money as the shop brands. As she needs changed less often using the pampers. I was changing her every hour or so during the day with the own brand ones as I wanted to ensure there were no more ruined clothes!!

So i would highly recommend these nappies, regardless if you are actually using as training pants or not.

Lynn1802 · 09/08/2013 10:48

My daughter is 15 months and we tested size 4.
My overall impression was they are brilliant they kept my daughter dry with no leaks during the day and at night which means I wont have to buy seperate pull ups for night like other brands advertise. My wee girl has quite sensitive skin and has came out in a horrible sore nappy rash when I used huggies but her skin has been perfect trying theses ones.
My little 1 had got to the stage where any time I tried to put a nappy on her during the day she would have terrible tantrums but when I put the pull ups on she had no tears or tantrums so much easier at change times and I find them so much easier to change because of the tear of sides.
I have tried Asda pull ups because they were a bit cheaper but they are to bulky when my wee one is wearing her leggings and the Pampers look as if they are more comfortable and also the fact I can use them for her day and night because there are no leaks and will definately be buying Pampers pull ups from now on and these are the same reasons I would reccomend them to friends and family for there wee ones and also Pampers has been around for a long time and its a company trusted by midwifes etc so that says a lot as well.

CoolaSchmoola · 10/08/2013 01:17

We tried size 5 on DD 22 months.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would
you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

They were ok, but we had more than a couple of leaks. DD has been in Pampers BabyDry since birth so I was surprised that the next "step" from them didn't seem to fit her and leaked despite being changed often. I wouldn't use them again as DD didn't seem to know the difference between a nappy and these. When she is in knickers she uses the potty, but when she is in these she treats them like a nappy so they actually had the opposite effect than intended.
I did like the sticky tab for folding them up once used.

Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?

They were definitely convenient and easy to use.

Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?

I have used Huggies Pull Ups and find they suit my daughter better - less leaks, and she knows who the characters are. She had no idea who Dora or Diego were.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up
Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would not recommend them because I think that it is an ineffective stage - the child feels like they are wearing a nappy, so it is too easy for them to just carry on using it as one, which negates the point of using them in the first place. They are useful for going out and about whilst potty training though, just in case.

Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost
below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I think they are expensive compared to nappies, and considering they are nearly the same I can't see how it is justified.

chrusty · 12/08/2013 09:20

I've been really impressed by these pull-ups. They are so easy to get on a wriggly baby who's on the move, easy after we've been swimming and much more convenient to use on the go. Not really bothered by the design but I'm sure the older babies/toddlers enjoy it, the rip off feature is good has is the absorbency levels. Will be continuing use of these as all the family have agreed they are easier.

Mum2Pea · 12/08/2013 12:17

Tested on DD 25 months, very petite so size 4 nappies, so tested size 4 pull ups.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
The nappies look good and DD loves Dora.
Surprised at how much padding there was to the front. (changing bag pocket can easily hold 6 Pampers active nappies but had to get even 5 of these pull ups in)
Would not use again as

  1. DD never has poo go up the back and over her happy. With these it has happened twice.
  2. DD never has nappy rash, has had several times while testing these (less absorbant?)
  3. Impossible to wrap / tie, sticky thing just not long enough!

Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?
very very convenient, especially as DD wants to run asap as soon as she is wiped down

Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?
Have not used before, DD1 went cold turkey from nappies to knickers

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would actively not recommend due to above issues that we have had with these

Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
Price is fine ? competitive with other brands / types

Emilyandjacksmum · 12/08/2013 12:27

I have used mine I wasn't sure how I'd get on using the on my 9 month old he's a little wriggler! I found they were easy and convenient to use.a little difficult to put on to start with but once I got the hang of it wasn't so bad. I had been having problems with nappy leakage and these pull up pants were the best thing iv used so far iv tried all the brands and different types out there these come out on top! Iv not yet used any other type of pant nappy but I would recommend them to my friends. I do feel they are quite pricey but you do pay for quality.

Bubba2010 · 12/08/2013 12:37

My son is 2years old and we were trying size 4.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would
you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

By the time we got the Easy Up Pants through, my son had already started trying to potty train. However we did use them and found they were brilliant. He never once leaked using them, day or night. Would definitely use them again, especially when my youngest starts potty training.

Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?

Yes they were just like normal underwear and I've found that its made the transition from nappies to pants so much easier.

Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your
children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?

Yes, we've used Huggies and Asda's own brand. Didn't really see much difference in how each brand protected from leakages. However my son loves the Huggies purely because of the Cars design, as he's Cars mad. Maybe you could update the design with characters that children would recognise.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up
Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I certainly would recommend Pampers Easy Up pants. They protect well from leakages and they've made my son become more independent with wanting to put his pants on an off to use the toilet.

Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost
below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

In my opinion, they are a little expensive, which would be the only reason why I would not buy them.

JessicaMLH · 12/08/2013 12:48

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
We tested these in size 6 on DD1 who is almost 3. We already use them and have done since she was about 18 months old as regular nappies would leak out the sides when she does her huuge wees. We currently use them just at night as she is potty trained in the day. They are great for night time because if she does wake up to use the toilet they're easy to pull up and down, but we never used them as a transition to potty training as she just saw them as a nappy and wouldn't attempt using the potty with them on.
Wish they hadn't changed from bob the builder to Dora though, as no kids I know have any idea who Dora is!

Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?
Very convenient ans easy to use, especially for her as she can do it herself.

Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?
We occasionally use Tesco pull ups if we can't get pampers (as size 6 is always out of stock in all the local shops). They are just as absorbent but nowhere near as stretchy so sometimes split at the sides just trying to put them on! Pampers are extremely stretchy and comfortable for my DD.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I would definitely recommend, but not necessarily as a potty training pant, as I think just going from nappies to potty makes more sense, training pants are pointless. These are really good for nighttime for toddlers or for active babies though.

Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

They're a lot more expensive than supermarket brands but are worth it for the comfort and better fIt.

flossymuldoon · 12/08/2013 12:52

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would
you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, i would use them again. They fit better than nappies.

Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?
They are really easy to use as i have trouble getting my son to lay still while i get the thing on. My son can just about put them on himself whereas he can't with nappies. He could also take them off himself in the morning.

Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?
I was given some of a different brand and they were fine but they din't fit a well as these did. I ruled out the idea of using pull-ups on a night as the couple of times i did use them i had tons of leakage and had to change all his bedding each time. These did not leak at all.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy UpPants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Because of the fit, absorbance.

Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost
below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
As my son is (mostly) dry during the day and i am only using 1 each night, the cost is not really a factor to me like it was when he was still in nappies. It's more about fit and leakage for me. In fairness though, i have always used Pampers as they are by far the softest. When i did occasionally use other brands i was really suprised how routh they were. One brand were so rough that they rubbed the skin raw on the top of his legs.

Merlincat07 · 12/08/2013 12:54

I tested the size 5 pull ups on my 2 year old DS.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would
you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I really liked using this product. I would use them again as I thought they were simple to use and made life easier when my son was feeling a bit fidgety.
Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not? Very easy and convenient. They made nappy changes very quick and my son liked the novelty of standing up to put on his big-boy pants.
Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your
children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare? I hadn't used pull ups before.
Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up
Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes, I would recommend them. Maybe once at the potty training stage though, rather than in place of regular nappies, which is how I ended up using them as my son isn't at that stage yet.
Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost
below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why? I think they are good value compared with the price of normal branded nappies. Obviously you pay more for the convenience, so I would expect that price to be honest.

Jodie4181 · 12/08/2013 13:05

I tried these size five nappies on my two year old son.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would
you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I thought they were good. The use of 'dora' was helpful when trying to convince him to try something he was unfamiliar with.

Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?

Yes though sometimes they can be tricky to get on with trapping bits and pieces (particularly on boys!)

Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your
children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?

I used these with my daughter too.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up
Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, for good absorbancy, design etc.

Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost
below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I think they're quite expensive as the market is quite competitive now with Supermarket own brands. I think you're paying for the name really and I'm not sure that will be enough to entice some people.

InMyShreddies · 12/08/2013 13:06

I have been using size 5 on my 20 mo. He loves them as lately he's been throwing massive tantrums for every nappy change which is rather tedious. I've been bigging up the whole 'big boy now' aspect so that's helped Wink

They are more expensive, but I think it's worth it to me for the ease and the reduced trauma (for me!) of the nappy changes. I wasn't expecting them to be as absorbent as his usual Active Fit but they seem fine, no leakage although I have stuck to Baby Dry for overnight as didn't want to risk it.
But for daytime use, I'm sold.

I haven't used any other similar products before but I have always used Pampers, so will probably buy again and recommend to others too.

treeny12345 · 12/08/2013 13:09

I used size 5 on my one year old.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would
you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I really liked using this product. I would use them again as I thought they were simple to use and made nappy changes easier with a wriggly baby!

Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not? Very easy and convenient. My son liked standing up and pulling on his big boy pants.
Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your
children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare? I haven't used pull ups before.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up
Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes, I would recommend them. They were very easy to use. Would recommend to people who were closer to potty training than us!
Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost
below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why? I think they are good value as they are more convenient and would expect them to be a little more expensive than normal nappies. I think we will definitely use them in a few months when we're further along in our potty training! :o)

Aimeehenry15 · 12/08/2013 13:18

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would
you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not? I really like them, I think the idea of pull ups is such a good idea. My 2 year old has hated having her nappy changed from day 1, I thought she would grow out of it but no. I wish I had discovered these pants months ago, she now lets me change her 'big girl pants' with minimal fuss!

Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?
I found them both convenient and easy to use. Obviously a bit harder to deal with a number 2 but not impossible! I really like the tab to seal the nappies - I think that is a great idea! A disadvantage is they seem to need to be changed more frequently, I find they are not as tight round the belly as conventional nappies with tabs as you cannot adjust them and so when they start to fill up they also start to fall down.

Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your
children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?
Yes, we discovered Tesco pull up pants just before I read about this trial, I was so impressed with them for all the above reasons. I considered Pampers version at that point but they were so much dearer so stuck with Tesco. When I received my trail pack, I was even more impressed, Pampers seem to fit my daughter so much better around the belly.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up
Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, I have been telling everyone who will listen that these pull up pants are amazing and really help if you have a 'nappy changing time hater' like my daughter!

Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost
below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
These are a lot dearer then Tesco own brand version. However, they are a much better fit for my daughter, although I was still reluctant to pay the dearer price. I managed to buy these in Costco for an excellent price and so have stocked up!

Toriajw · 12/08/2013 13:29

My son is 12 months and we tested a size 4
Q1 My overall impression of the pants was they the looked on the small size compared to the nappies we were using but they actually fit him better than the nappies did. I will definitely be using them again as they were so much easier to use on a little boy who refuses to stay still when you change his nappy and wants to constantly be stood up. We had no leaks with them at all which I found I had with a few nappy brands I had tried.
Q2 I found them very convenient to use, as I said above my son does not like to lay down so you can change his nappy so these made life easier as you just pull them down or rip the sides. It also means there are no tabs for him to pull open when he feels the need.
Q3 This is the first time I have used Easy Up pants on my son and all I can say is I wish I had found them sooner!
Q4 I would definitely recommend Pampers Easy Up Pants, infact I have already done so and my nephew is now wearing them! They are super absorbant and we've had no problems with leaking.
Q5 I would say they are slightly on the more expensive side but I think they will become more value for money as my son gets older and we dont have to change them as often. Although saying that I dont have to change them as often as the previous brand of nappy I was using as they absorb more.

WeAll · 12/08/2013 13:34

Please state the age of your child and the size of Easy Up Pants you
were trying in your response.

4, size 6.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would
you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Overall impression was very good. I liked them for overnight nappy use as son has trained in the day. I would use again. They are more grown up than still using a nappy, and he can put them on by himself and feel independent.

Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?

Yes, perfectly easy and convenient. If I was using them all day with a younger child, I guess having to pull trousers fully off instead of just down might have been a pain?

Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your
children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?

No.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up
Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, previously I had thought they were a bit of a gimmick but I did like the way they were more grown up.

Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost
below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

It's all relative really! They look expensive to me but I think I would still pay for them, but I would probably be thinking they were pricey while doing so! If that makes sense. But you don't really get cheap pull up pants, only cheap nappies, so it isn't as if there is anything else competing that people would choose instead, if they wanted pull up pants.

ickski · 12/08/2013 13:43

Q1. slightly too thick to help potty train. Thought too nappy like. Too absorbant for their own good.lol.
Q2. Lovely to use. Great quality. Feel nice. Hate dora.
q3. Have tried huggies. Prefer not having that sticky tape up back of pull up. Much thinner
q4.would recommend pampers easy ups once they were not as thick. as love active fit would like those as a pull up.
q5. All relative on price. Tend to look for offers.

LadyFace · 12/08/2013 13:54

I have a DS who is 2 and we used the size 6. I am just starting out with potty training so they were on day and night time.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Easy Up Pants? Would
you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I really liked them. They are not bulky, easy to pull on, no leaks or tears at the side.
Q2 Did you find Pampers Easy Up Pants convenient and easy to use or not?
Very easy to use and convenient for potty training. With no tabs at the side they stay on and stand up to the rigours of toddler life!
Q3 Have you ever used similarly designed nappies before with any of your
children? If so, how did Pampers Easy Up Pants compare?
I used supermarket own brand pull ups when potty training my older child and they were ok but not as strong/durable as sometimes the sides tore and I did experience some leaking with the own brands.
Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Easy Up
Pants to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, I'm impressed with the absorbancy, fit and durability.
Q5 We've included some info on how much Pampers Easy Up Pants cost
below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
I think they are expensive so I would not say good value but I do like these pull ups and think they make potty training easier.

helivalentin · 12/08/2013 15:04

My 23-month-old daughter loved using Pampers Easy Up Pants! We tried them in size 5 and it was a perfect fit for her. We'll definitely continue using the Easy Ups as they made the on-going potty training much easier.

I can get my daughter to use the potty 'productively' in the mornings and after her nap but at other times the potty business tends to be a case of hit and miss. With Pampers Easy Up Pants it is so easy (wonder how they came up with the name!?) and convenient to just go and try if it is the right time to use the potty. My daughter has given me plenty of false warnings!

We had only used normal sticky tape nappies before so I was pleasantly surprised to find out how much easier pull-up pants were to use. I have already raved about the Pampers Easy Up Pants to my friends.

Pampers Easy Up Pants are not as cheap as normal nappies but they are still OK value since they are meant to be mainly for potty training and at that stage you don't have to change your little ones nappies or pull-up pants as often as you had to before. In that sense they actually are fairly good value. I have continued using Pampers Easy Up Pants and will continue to do so until we get the potty training over and done with!

Sama32 · 12/08/2013 19:13

I tested size 6 on my 16 month old baby boy.

Its the 1st time ive tried pampers easy up pants on the little one. He has no idea who dora & diego are at the moment! Overall impression of these nappy's were gud. The size just fits! They were convenient as in; when we are out visiting family & he needs a nappy change, its very hard to keep him still, so these pants were great, in the sense of just put them on and go, no worrying about the tabs of the usual nappies!
He did have a leak one of the nights due to his excessive turning & rotating!
Would recommend them to family & friends!

shahmeer12 · 12/08/2013 20:12

hi im mrs Rizwan
thanks to pampers they introduced me to such a good nappy for my baby...he is 10 months of age.. I used size 5 and its amazing experience..its v easy to put on that on baby s bum..i feel soooooooooo easy and relaxed and my baby too coz he doesn't get red lines on his waist like other nappies .they are absorbant but I feel their outer sufrcae needs to b more good coz that stuff gets bubbly and rough..it must b like pampers baby dry..

Keldolly · 12/08/2013 20:48

Q1 I would most defiantly use Pampers easy up pants again, I loved them as it taught my lo to pull down his own nappy when he needed to go.

Q2 easy up pants were not easy at first but once my lo was use to them they were so easy for him.

Q3 No i have never used another easy up pant before.

Q4 I would and have recommended pampers easy up pants to all my mummy friends, just because they are so easy to teach a lo how to use the potty when needed.

Q5 pampers easy up pants are pricey however it is well worth every pennie, not only are they as fantastic at absorbing like the active fit, the easy up pant make teaching your lo to use the potty so m,uch more easier.

Katyc1986 · 12/08/2013 20:56

Overall impression thinner the other nappies and bit awkward to get on but once used to them quite simple to use
As I have never used a type of pull up before I was unsure of hoe my little girl would get on with their but she seems to prefer them to normal nappies I would deferently reccomend these to some abd I believe they are good value for money my little girl also liked the picture on the front
