We tested out the size 4 nappies on our daughter who is 13 months old.

I think that the nappies are brilliant value for money considering that because they are so efficient at keeping baby dry for the full night everyone in the house gets a good nights sleep!! That in itself is worth its weight in gold!
I have used other brands in the past and found that you usually get one or two leaky accidents a week ((particularly with boys!!)) so using pampers exclusively for a few weeks I was pleasantly surprised that we haven't had one leaky incident!!

I would certainly recommend pampers to a friend and infant I do already because in my opinion I do believe that they are the best on the market and it doesn't really make sense to save money buying a cheaper product if your baby is going to be unhappy or your going to have to change them more often!

Overall I'm very happy with these nappies, would certainly recommend them to other parents and I think that they are a fair price when taking into consideration how well they work.

?I was picked by MNHQ to review this product, which I received for free. This review is in my own words and reflects my true opinion.

Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you were trying in your response. 6 months - size 3

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Overall very good, have mainly used Huggies in the past so it was interesting to see how Pampers compared.
They were very soft and kept DS dry - no leakage which was great, as obviously my main concern was that he was comfy and dry!
My only negative feedback would be that they did have a slight plastic/chemical type smell when fresh out of the packet, and the sticky side tabs were not very large which made it hard to grasp them sometimes, particularly for DH who has very chubby fingers!

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?
Just as good, if not better!

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
I think at full price they are perhaps a little on the pricey side compared to supermarket brands. However they always seem to be on offer in supermarkets etc which takes them to a very good price to stock up on!

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I would as DS seemed very happy in them, they were soft and kept him dry so no concerns there!

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Very impressed, kept my 2 month old leak free all night and although i changed him after approx 8 hours i could of left him for longer

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

I have only used pampers new baby so far but thought the dryness of these nappies was much better.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I do feel they are good value for money as they work! and if you buy them whilst on promotions as i tend to there is only pence between them and some other brands.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would definitely recommend them to other parents as i feel you get what you pay for and these are a quality product.

LilyLilyLilyOiOiOi · 16/05/2013 13:56

I tried size 4 for my 8 month old son.

  1. I was impressed with this product. My son sleeps on his front so leaks through quite often, but so far we haven't had that while using these nappies.

  2. These nappies are very good at keep the baby dry and so far we've had no leaks. I've tried quite a few other nappies, and these are one of the best.

  3. I do think they are quite expensive, but it's about weighing up what is most important.

  4. Yes I would definitely recommend. Buy when on offer!

orangeshortbread · 16/05/2013 16:49

I tried size 3 with my 4 mo.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
They seemed thicker than normal nappies - I guess the extra layer causes this - and this made them a tighter fit. They also puffed up a lot when they were full. For this reason I probably wouldn't use them again.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?
We have had more leakages than usual and they seem to puff up when they absorb liquid and then stop absorbing. They leak at the top more.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
Not really as they are not as good as other comparable nappies.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
No, because of the leakages.

DEWilson · 16/05/2013 18:20

Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you were trying in your response.

My child is 3 months old and I was trying the size three nappies

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I was impressed with the nappies, they fitted my child well. I will use them when I run out of my current supply of pampers new baby.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

My child seemed drier in these than in the pampers new baby nappies when changing him first thing in the morning.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I would say they are good value for money as they do what they say they will and I haven't experienced any problems with them.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes. My older child had pampers all the way through until she was using the toilet and as stated before I haven't had any problems.

mungojerrie · 16/05/2013 18:35

Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you were trying in your response.

She is 11 months and in a size 4.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Good, impressed with the feel of them, soft and not at all bulky.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

They were good - kept her nice and dry - no leaks.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

They are substantially more expensive than other brands but they are excellent for night time nappies - I wouldn't use them all day due to the price but happy to pay that for a nighttime nappy.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes.

Wildwaterfalls · 16/05/2013 19:03

Slight delay in receiving the nappies here.

  1. Overall, I am a big fan if Pampers Baby-Dry, must admit I have never even tried anything else (other than Pampers New Baby when DD was first born). We have very few leaks, and the absorbency is great. DD can easily wear one through the night without getting uncomfortable. I didn't notice a lot of difference with this new version - perhaps slightly thinner and a little bit less of a chemical smell, but that may be my imagination.
  1. Absorbency is great. We have very occasional leaks but only if the poos are very explosive.
  1. I am fine paying the Pampers price as it is a good product. Do appreciate bulk buying discounts though.
  1. Yes, and I have.
fluffacloud · 16/05/2013 19:54

We tried the size 4 nappy, which fit my long and skinny DD very well.

Q1 - Yes, I would use them again. My DD 13 mo, leaks overnight fairly often but we only had one leak in the trial period, this was due to saturation after a very milky night.

Q2 - The nappies are soft, slim-line and stay supple even when wet - I found that other brands really bulk out and just don't appear to be comfortable. They held liquid well and we had far fewer leaks with Pampers than with our regular brand.

Q3 - They are a little expensive, but I've just managed to buy some on offer in the supermarket. I'm happy to pay the extra due to the quality.

Q4 - I would and have already!

ChilliBanana · 16/05/2013 20:17

We tried the size 4 nappy with our 8 month old DS?
Q1 - nice slim fit, slightly weird smell. I'm not sure if I would use them again as we had more leaks than usual while wearing them, but I wonder if they just don't suit the shape of my baby as he has quite a chubby belly.

Q2 - we normally use Pampers Active fit over night which give us less leaks.

Q3 - they're good value for money If you buy them on offer :)

Q4 - I might recommend them to parents of skinnier babies...

Marissa27 · 16/05/2013 20:54

I tested size 3 nappies on my 6 month old, I was impressed with how good there were through out the night. I would and shall use them again.

I was very impressed and have not had any leaks etc with them.

I think they are little expensive compared to the supermarkets own brands.

I would recommend these nappies to friends and family

RunningKatie · 16/05/2013 21:25

Used the size 4's on DS, 6 months and 20+lbs.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

We'd previously used Baby-Dry with DD and stopped at size 4 as they'd started leaking overnight.
DS is just in the right weight range for these as opposed to size 3's, and he's had dry nights every night which is great.

Would definitely use again as I'm confident in them at the moment.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

DS does like to do explosive poo's so we do have the odd accident but I doubt many nappies would stand up to them.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I tend to buy the jumbo boxes on 2 for £20 or ay baby events and would continue to do so. I'm pretty happy paying for a nappy that I can rely on.

I've been told the Kiddicare nappies are good so would consider giving them a try at some point as a branch has opened near us.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, I definitely would, other nappies haven't been as reliable in the past and we certainly discussed that with our antenatal friends. I think everyone is looking for nappy reliability but at a good price.

My child is 6 months old and I tried the size 4 nappies.

  1. I was impressed with the design and I would use these again, I didn't think I would as they are more expensive than other brands. I now think the price is worth paying for the difference I have noticed.

  2. I was very impressed with the lack of leakages! He has been known to have exploding nappies but none while using the pampers baby dry. At night they really do live up to their name, his nappy was bulging but his skin was completely dry.

  3. I think the price is reasonable for the quality of the product. Although I will still buy cheaper brands, I will be buying these for night time use to prevent nappy rash. Very much worth the money for us.

  4. I have already recommended this product and I will continue to do so. I was impressed with the effectiveness.

JEMISMYNAME · 16/05/2013 23:01

I used these nappies on my 15month old daughter in a size 4. I found they keep her drier for longer and we haven't had any leaks. I would use them again.

I mostly use huggies however found this product to be of a similar quality however better for during the night.

Pamper seem to be the most expensive nappy.

I would recommend these to a friend.

mummyofcutetwo · 17/05/2013 06:40

I tried the size 4 nappies on my 13 month old boy.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I loved these nappies. They were soft, thin, flexible and easy to use. My little one was comfortable in them and they kept him leak-free. I'd definitely use them again.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?
They kept my little one's skin drier than other nappies we've tried. Also no leaks, which I can't say for Huggies (which were awful!) and supermarket own brands.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?
They may be more expensive than supermarket own brands but I've saved on washing costs by using pampers! No leaks means I don't have to wash all the bedding every day, and saves on changes of clothes through the day. This is especially good as it means my little one doesn't wake up wet and distressed, and doesn't have to go through the hassle of multiple clothes changes a day. Also, if you shop around or wait for supermarket "baby events" you can usually get them much cheaper.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, I'd definitely recommend these nappies to other parents. Comfy baby = happier baby = more time for fun

moonprayer · 17/05/2013 09:55

My DS is 4.5months old, and I have tried size 4 on him. (Well, he is quite a bit boy... and weighs over 8.5kg.)
Q1. The new Pampers Baby-Dry feels a bit softer than the old one. I think it is a good choice for night time. As my DS only feeds once during night, so it isn't as wet as during the daytime. Pampers Baby-Dry can keep my baby's skin dry for the whole night up to 12hr with no problem at all. For this reason, I would recommend it. However, just one little note, you have to choose the right size though. Previously I used size 3. Although my DS hasn't hit the weight limit specified by the product at that time, it leaked everywhere every time during the night. Then it all sorted out when I switched to size 4.
Q2. I have just used the old Pampers Baby Dry and Pampers New Baby before, so I would compare the new one with them. It definitely feels drier than New Baby, but the leakage protection is worse than New Baby. With a BM, it couldn't really protect much at all, unless you change your baby immediately with great caution.
Q3. I think it is great value for money. As it is soft and dry, I don't have to change too often. Every day, I use 3 on average, including BM changes.
Q4. I would recommend it to other parents for night use, as it saves fussies with nappy changes at night.

slightlyroundthebend · 17/05/2013 11:25

I tested the size 4 nappies on my 8 month 21lb baby boy

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

In short yes I would use them again, they were very good at night time where we sometimes have some issues. They have also managed to contain teething poo's which in my little boys case are very runny. They fit him nicely and he seems comfortable and can move around happily in them. Yes I will use again.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

Very well - very few leakages during trial infact only one i think during the night when he had done a massive poo the a week ontop of that.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

Yes as they dont need to be changed all the time - also as fewer leakages i save on washing powder!

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I would

gruffalobore · 17/05/2013 15:27

I used the nappies on my 8 month old, 20lb baby boy.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

They are quite lightweight considering they hold so much wetness. They do the job of no leaking for over 12 hours. Very pleased as no nighttime changes needed here. Would use again, in fact still using now.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

Other nappies I've tried including supermarket own brand leak overnight, so these are better.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I think they are quite expensive but probably worth the extra as you use less and don't need to change overnight.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, because of reasons above.

Thanks for letting me take part.

starlight36 · 17/05/2013 16:18

We tested the nappies on our three month old boy.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes we would definitely use them again. The nappies definitely kept our son dry overnight and didn't leak even when very heavy. They seemed thinner than other nappies and have attractive designs.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

They were the best nappies we've used - no leaks so far.

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

They are more expensive than other brands but deservedly so. We tend to look out for supermarket offers so don't usually pay the full price.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not

Yes because they lived up to their name and kept our son dry.

WingDefence · 17/05/2013 19:01

Please state the age of your baby/child and the size of nappy you were trying in your response.
My DD is 7 weeks old, weighs nearly 11lbs and I tested the size 3 nappies.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Pampers Baby-Dry nappies? Would you use them again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I like the thinness of the nappies. I really like the stretchy sides. As DD is at the lower end of the weight range for these nappies (we started when she was 10lbs), I appreciated the fact that they weren't massively bulky even in 0-3 vests/bodies and fit well.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used in terms of dryness and leakage protection?

DD doesn't yet sleep for anything nearing 12 hours overnight (I wish!) but they've not leaked once and the dryness is good. (Much better than the Pampers New Baby nappies I'm otherwise using.)

Q3 We've included some info on how much Pampers Baby-Dry nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why?

I tend to shop around for my Pampers and buy when they're on offer. As you've not put how many are in each size pack, I can't comment but I'd assume they're more expensive than other brands.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry nappies to other parents? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would, for the reasons outlined above. However, I'd definitely also say they were more expensive and that other people have found that other cheaper brands work just as well for them.

I tried size 4 nappies on my 10 month

  1. I am really impressed with
Lmesser1302 · 17/05/2013 20:11

I tried size 4 nappies on my 10 month old son

  1. I am really impressed with Pampers Baby Dry. They kept him dry all night without his nappy resulting in a huge heavy bulk in the morning. I will definitely be buying these nappies again as I now believe you get what you pay for.
  2. The nappies are definitely better in terms of dryness compared to the nappies I used to use but as for leakage I would say they are equally on par.
  3. I think Pampers nappies are still a little expensive in comparison but as I said previously it is a case of getting what you pay for. I do not mind paying a little extra if it is going to ensure my son is comfortable and dry in his nappies.
  4. I would recommend Pampers Baby Dry to my friends as I have seen the difference they have made to my son's bottom during teething and also how the nappies haven't been bulky when I have changed my son when he gets up in the morning.
Alexalex · 17/05/2013 20:36

I tried size 3 on my 18 week old son. I have previously used tiny then newborn range nappies, but as my son is now 4 months and beginning to sleep for longer periods throughout the night i have tried Pampers Baby Dry. These nappies are suitable for use day and night. After 12 hours overnight the nappies become quite bulky and heavily saturated however they keep moisture away from the skin well which stayed soft and dry and there has not been any wet/dirty leakage. Although Pampers are more expensive than some brands and supermarkets own, I believe they are good value for money in terms of their performance, i will continue to use Baby Dry nappies and would recommend them to others.
