Answering the questions properly now.
First impressions: bit sceptical tbh, I thought if it worked it would be wonderful but knowing what DD can do to her clothes, wasn't sure 5 squirts of something eco-friendly would be enough.

Anything you'd change: After trying it, nothing at all!

Fragrance and cleaning power: I'm all bunged up but DD (fussy) said she liked the fragrance. The cleaning power is excellent. Five squirts really did get her shirts white.

Recommend: Definitely. I'd recommend it for its power, compact size and ease of use. It's much easier to do 5 squirts than to faff about measuring. I also like the refill packs.

I've still not got my delivery. No spotty box (ahem) and no maize 'taches. But I do have a washing mountain that is threatening to take over the world...

Sleepyfergus · 01/12/2012 12:47

Nothing here either.

Sleepyfergus · 01/12/2012 12:47

Just noticed your name Hazel
Are you north of the border too?

HazeltheMcWitch · 01/12/2012 12:58

Not any more, Sleepyfergus, although am a Jock through and through. One day I will return...

HazeltheMcWitch · 01/12/2012 12:59

Ooh, should have deployed a [bsmile] there, in hindsight.

  1. was a little underwhelmed- not sure how it would produce as much as it has! Have done 3 washes and it still feels full!
  2. instructions in English perhaps? Also, I've been sticking it in the drawer bit. Is this right?
  3. smelt a bit 'planty' for me at first but since I've actually washed stuff it smells v clean and fresh and doesn't mix the fab conditioner unpleasantly. It cleans just as well as the Aldi non bio gel.
  4. I would, I was very impressed with the product, especially as an eco product.

Can I have some more pleeeeeeeeeaase?!

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Method Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?

I liked the size of the bottle and the design. Easy to use. Disappointed with the feel of the clothes after the wash though. Can't put my finger on it but they just don't feel right, not as soft and they are kind of a bit more scrunched up than they usually are (for control purposes I used exactly the same load size and settings as I would with my usual Aldi washing liquid).

Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid?

It's too expensive and I don't think it is for people like myself who don't also use a fabric softener so maybe add something that softens the clothes.

Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power?

It cleaned everything well and the fragrance is very subtle and I quite liked it. I do prefer a nice lavender fragrance usually but this was not bad, not too strong and over-powering.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not?

I have recommeded method products before as i think they are really effective at cleaning. The washing liquid has effective cleaning power but i wouldn't recommend it based on the feel of the clothes after.

insancerre · 01/12/2012 14:27

The first wash is on.
The pedant in me was really irritated by the letter with the product. Why no capital letters?

brightonchick · 01/12/2012 14:38

really liked how it is a pump style, its really great no mess no spillages.
Not really change anything just being in a bigger bottle would be great.
The fragrance is good not too strong and not too weak, made my clothes smell really nice and fresh.
I would most definitely recommend it method laundry liquid to my friends and family as it is simple to use no room for spillages and mess, Probably last longer than usual liquid brands as depending on what stainage their is on clothes depends on how much you use, but i think it would be a product to buy and use.

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Method Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?
Pretty good so far, compact size, smell good, cleans well (got a green pen stain out of DH fancy white shirt :))

Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid? Not the liquid itself but I suspect it'll be expensive so Id change the price

Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power? See above, cleans well, smells pretty nice

Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not? Would definitely recommend if it was on offer somewhere, probably not at 'normal' price tho

Sparklesandglitter · 01/12/2012 15:28

Q1) my overall impressions are that it is very compact and clean, no dripping or mess. The packaging is sturdy and looks nice, although it would be better in English not French!!

Q2) I wouldn't make any changes but hope there are refills

Q3) the fragrance was nice, not over powering an seemed to linger well on the clothes

Q4) yes I would definitely recommend it, as long as the price was sensible

Good quality product in excellent packaging. A very good innovation in washing liquid, simple and effective to use thanks!! Smile

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?
Very good! I love the convenience of the pump which is a definite improvement on scooping powder like I do normally!

Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid?
Nothing I'd change, although I'm not sure what the normal RRP is because I don't think I've seen it in-store.

Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power?
The fragrance is great - a nice surprise. I normally add fabric softener because I don't like the smell of my regular detergent, but decided to give it a miss while I tried out Method.... and the washing smells lovely! The clothes I've washed so far have come out nice & clean but I haven't tried it with anything heavily soiled yet.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not?
Yes, I'd recommend it because it's so easy to use and leaves the clothes smelling lovely!

headfairy · 01/12/2012 16:03

Woohoooo! Finally got mine, I liked the note on the front "be gentle with me postie" Grin

Wash of whites is on now so I'll report back later.

SoupDragon · 01/12/2012 16:03

The packing chips kept DD quite for over an hour :o

headfairy · 01/12/2012 16:06

It's a shame they couldn't find a more environmentally friendly packing material, I don't think those polystyrene wotsits are recyclable.

SoupDragon · 01/12/2012 16:07

They aren't polystyrene. I believe they are maize or something similar.

Follyfoot · 01/12/2012 16:08

Will do my report in a bit, but the polystyrene wotsits are potato wotsits I think. They will dissolve down the sink if you run the tap or you can compost 'em Smile

SoupDragon · 01/12/2012 16:09

DD has just spent an hour with a box of them and a wet sponge, dampening the ends to stick them together.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 01/12/2012 16:09

Like cheesy wotsits?

SoupDragon · 01/12/2012 16:09

Only not orange.

Follyfoot · 01/12/2012 16:11

Have to confess I've don that too SoupDragon, you can make some great shapes Grin

blueberryboybait · 01/12/2012 16:27

Unfortunately our Postie wasn't as careful as and the note asked him to be!

MaryBS · 01/12/2012 16:28

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?
It looked a good idea, the packaging is distinctive (particularly with it being in French, LOL
Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid?
Not really, I'd like a bigger bottle, and I'd like a refill option.
Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power?
The fragrance was lovely, I'm ultra sensitive to smells, and will sometimes reject some based on their smell, but I preferred this to my regular washing liquid. I was very impressed with how bright the clothes came out, both whites and coloureds, compared to my current non-bio. I would definitely buy this if the price were right.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not?
Most definitely. I would tell them it smelled nice, washed well and is kind to sensitive skin.

MaryBS · 01/12/2012 16:29

Just seen the comments about the packing - my son is using it as snow in our Christmas display we put up today :o
