  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

The bread itself was nice, especially toasted. We all likes the red berries but thought there should be more of them.

  1. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

DD is only 1 so didn't say much but she ate it all so that's a good sign.

  1. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

Probably not, but then I'm not interested in recommended guidelines.

  1. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

Yes I would if it was cheaper than the warburtons cinnamon bread as I liked them about the same. I'd try the bagels but not the muffins as not keen on muffins.

  1. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, but would add that I think there should be more red berries in it.

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

I really like the dimensions of the slices. They are perfect for toasting and the perfect quick breakfast for the kids (and Mum!) Once toasted the bread is really tasty and packed full of fruit, each slice is full of flavour and filling.

  1. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

My daughter usually avoids anything with 'bits' in so I disguised the bread at first by spreading a thin layer of peanut butter on the top. My daughter loved the toasted bread and had a second slice. My son is a big fan of toasted teacakes so he loved his toast and keeps asking for fruity toast. They particularly liked the size and flavour of the bread. My daughter commented that it was nice and thick and tastes good with lots of different toppings. We have tried jam, butter, peanut butter and marmalade so far. Jam is the winner in this house.

  1. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

Yes, I am always looking for healthy and tasty breakfast alternatives for my children and this message would draw me towards the product. Were it not for this statement I think I would have treated this more like simply a snack (like malt loaf or similar). I think you need to keep this statement in order to market this product as a breakfast product.

  1. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

Yes we would definitely buy this product. My son keeps asking for fruity toast so I will be looking for the bread in the supermarket this week. I would also buy the muffins and bagels and would love to see mini fruit and fibre bagels for the lunchbox.

  1. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

I have already recommended the bread to my parents and grandparents. My grandparents struggle to get enough fibre and prefer smaller meals so this would be a perfect way for them to start the day. I have promised to buy them a loaf each to try when I go to the supermarket.

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

Perfect size, used it all in just a couple of days. Handy way of getting extra fruit.

  1. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

She liked the colourfulness off it.

  1. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

It's a positive fact about the product

  1. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

Yes I would buy this again, and so would my neighbour!

  1. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend it yes, and have done.

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

The bread has a lovely smell, i liked that it came in a small loaf.

  1. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

DD and DS2 refused to try it, DS1 tried it and said it was OK but not fantastic.

  1. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

Yes!

  1. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

Yes i would consider buying it again as DH and I enjoyed the bread, would love to try the bagels and muffins to they sound delish.

  1. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?
    Convenient for making fruity toast.
Not as spicy or fruity as others I've tried.

  2. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?
They both enjoyed it toasted and untoasted. No particular comments from them (although they are 4 and 2Grin)

  3. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?
NO, they have a lot of soluble and insoluble fibre in their diet already.

  4. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?
Would depend on price. IMHO there are fruitier and arguably tastier similar products on the market. Don't think the wholegrain aspect would sell it to me over taste.

  5. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
    Yes, again dependent on price.

Thanks for the opportunity to try this new product Smile

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

Trusted the brand, loved the idea of a healthier bread

  1. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

They both really liked it. Eldest put marmite on it and said it was a good combination(!)

  1. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

Definitely. Easy way of getting goodness into your children.

  1. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

Would buy it. Think muffins and bagels would be very popular in this house too.

  1. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Would recommend it as it is nutritious and likely to become a family favourite.

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?
I liked it, it had a nice taste. DH thought so too in fact he scoffed well over half of it. I liked it with butter, straight out of the pack, DH preferred it toasted.

  2. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?
DD (5) didn't want to try it, but she doesn't like raisins so I wasn't surprised tbh.
DS (2) liked it, both toasted and untoasted, so long as it had lots of butter on it.

  3. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?
Maybe, although they eat wholegrain cereals for breakfast anyway, and we use 50/50 or Best of Both as everyday bread so in general they do get plenty of wholegrains already.

  4. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?
Depending on the price I might - I saw it on the Sainsbury's website for £1.25 per small loaf. If that's right, it seems expensive. I'd prefer a standard sized loaf though, the mini one didn't last very long! It's the sort of thing I might keep in the freezer and bring out for weekend breakfasts.
We don't eat muffins or bagels, so I don't know that we'd try them just because they were Fruit & Fibre IYSWIM.

  5. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
I already have recommended it to a friend :o she likes the sound of it and is going to hunt it out in Sainsburys asap. She has a fussy eater who won't eat much fibre-rich food, but thinks this might work and is going to give it a try.

Fillybuster · 04/10/2012 10:07

Thank you for selecting us for this trial :)

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

I thought the loaves looked a bit small, but I liked the smell when I opened the box they were sent in, and we all liked the purpley packaging.

  1. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

We all liked it, although everyone thought it was better toasted than 'fresh'. Bigger slices would have been better for the adults and ds, but the dd's enjoyed being able to eat a whole slice :) We would all have liked a bit more fruit, but it was nice as it was.

  1. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

It wouldn't make me buy the product on its own (my dcs have a bowl of bran/oat type stuff before their breakfast toast every day) but its definitely nice to know.

  1. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

Definitely, we all liked it. I sometimes make my own raisin/apricot bread but its a faff and it would be nice to keep a loaf of this in the freezer so the dcs can have a slice as an after-school snack. I think that's where we will use it most in the future :) I don't tend to buy muffins/bagels, so probably not anything other than the bread.

  1. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, I would - it is tasty and fun and everyone liked it. Thanks again :)

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?
i liked the size of the slices they fitted in the toaster! packaging was fine

  2. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

one child doesn't like dried fruit so was a non starter the others all liked it toasted but not un toasted and always with butter.

  1. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

yes beacuse it makes it seem healthy

  1. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

yes i would if the price was right and would love to try bagels and muffins from the same range

  1. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

yes is someone was struggling to get their child to eat breakfast then i would offer this as an idea

ShoopShoop · 04/10/2012 12:02
  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

I wasn't sure to start with. It felt initially like a poor imitation of a hot cross bun type loaf. However when I toasted it and covered it in jam and butter I enjoyed it. However, I didn't enjoy it as much as a more traditionally fruited and spiced bread. DH didn't like it, but then he's a bit funny with dried fruit anyway!

  1. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

DD (14 months) didn't like it, which surprised me. She loves toast and loves dried fruit so I thought the two things together would appeal to her.

  1. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

No, I don't think so. To me it was a treat kind of food - not something that I would use to form the wholegrain requirement in our diets. I would not have this type of food every day. I may buy a loaf and freeze it in portions to have every now and then.

  1. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

I might buy another loaf to keep for treats, but to be honest, I'd probably prefer to buy a more traditional hot cross bun loaf. I may be tempted to try other Kingsmill products - I didn't realise they did muffins and bagels too.

  1. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would mention it, but only if it came up in conversation.

Thanks for letting us try the bread though!!

user12785 · 04/10/2012 13:25

Coming to this a bit late as my bread got held up at the PO depot (further away from my house than where it was posted from!)

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

Whole family really liked it.

  1. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

DCs both loved it and asked for more.

  1. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

Not really. I don't really worry about wholegrain levels.

  1. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

I would buy it again, and would also try other items in the range.

  1. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend it as we all enjoyed it. (Even though ours was past its use by date by the time I rescued it from the PO!)

What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

I really like the Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread . I though that the packaging was very eye-catching and would get my attention if I saw the product on the supermarket shelf. The flavour was lovely and I especially liked the fruit pieces in it and I think that it is ideal as a breakfast or a quick snack after school . I didn't particularly like the smell when I first opened the packet as it smelled a bit too "artificial ", but then again it didn't seem too bad next time so maybe it was just the initial opening of the bread.

  1. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

My two sons loved the bread. The eldest who is 8 tried it straight after school and it was ideal as it kept him going till his dinner was ready . They both enjoyed the flavour although the youngest who is 2 was a bit unsure of the fruit pieces but was fine once I had explained that it was just chopped fruit.

  1. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

Definitely ! I think it is a great idea to send your children to school on a full stomach and knowing that they have had something nutritious. I gave it to them along with a bowl of porridge and I was confident that they had a good start to the day.

  1. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

I would buy Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread because as a family we really enjoyed it and its nice to buy something that I know the whole family will eat . We normally buy Kingsmill products anyway so would most certainly try the Fruit & Fibre bagels and muffins .

  1. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

I have already recommended the bread to my parents and would to other family members / friends . When they next visited they were eager to try the bread and really enjoyed it , so much so that my dad tried to take the other loaf home Grin

tobecalm · 04/10/2012 22:15
  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

It smelt a bit artificial and overly sweet, this put the boys off trying it. But when I tasted it, I enjoyed it and will be happy to buy it again, but being aware that it would mainly be the adults that would eat it!

  1. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

They weren't keen on the smell, and I think that put them off giving the bread a fair trial.

  1. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

Probably not, as reading a claim like that I would then look at the ingredients and nutritional information, and I felt that the list of ingredients was long and a bit artificial. This would counteract the goodness of the wholegrain in my eyes.

  1. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

I would buy the bread again, but would not be too bothered about trying the muffins and bagels as I don't think the children would be overly keen on those either.

  1. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend it as a treat, as the adults enjoyed it.

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

I loved it, it tasted great and to me it tasted like a toastd teacake

  1. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

They were unsure at first as it had 'bits' in, but when they finally tasted it they enjoyed it too

  1. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

Yes as i find it hard trying to give my kids fibre, they have cereals every morning or toast but i dont think the cereals i buy have that much fibre in it.

  1. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

I would definately try the bread again and the muffins sound good too, it is something that we will buy as the kids preferred it to plain boring toast.

  1. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes i would recommend it as the kids liked it and normally if something is good for them they wont have it :)

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

I didn't like the thought of it. Fruit in bread?!?! But it smelled lovely. I am not adventurous though and had no idea what to put with it.

  1. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?
My toddler was not overly interested in it. If the packaging had been more 'cakey' and less 'bready' then she might have been inclined to try more. (I hope that makes sense!)

  2. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?
It wouldn't make much difference to me. We try to eat a full and varied diet and there are so many recommended daily intakes that we would literally be eating all day to hit all of the targets!!

  3. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?
I'd definitely be interested in a muffin or bagel. It would be more of a 'treat' than just 'fruit bread'. 'Fruit bagel' makes me hungry.

  4. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would recommend it in a 'You should try this, it sounds pretty awful but is actually nice!' It would be a replacement for fruit loaves or malt loaf though- not regular bread.

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

I love this kind of product and so does my daughter it seems. I haven't toasted it yet..not thought about it! I am sure it will be even better toasted!

  1. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

My daughter gobbled hers up so quickly! So yes she must of liked it!

  1. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

As a vegetarian, I am very aware of what I need to try and get into my daughter so this percentage is a good start to get the wholegrain in her! And she likes it so that is great!

  1. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

I will be buying it again, bagels? Definitely!

  1. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend it to all my friends and family. It really went down well with me and my daughter. My fiance doesn't eat this kind of thing and wouldn't give it a chance...his loss!

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

It was quite sweet for me, but the DCs enjoyed it, especially toasted. I would have enjoyed some spices - maybe cinnamon.

As others have said the loaf wasn't particularly big for a family.

  1. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

The DCs enjoyed it toasted. Not so keen on it untoasted. Overall they prefer some of the more spiced fruit loaves.

  1. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

Probably not as my DCs already eat wholemeal bread, pasta and rice.

  1. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

Probably not - there are other fruit breads on the market we prefer. Might try the other products for a change but only if they are on offer.

  1. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Probably not. It was a bit sweet for me, and the DCs prefer other fruit loaves. Might mention it to friends whose DCs don't like wholemeal bread.

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

I liked the look of the packaging and the size of the loaf. When I took it out it looked moist and very fruity. It was quite sweet but toasted nicely.

  1. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

No - I thought they would like it as it was quite sweet but they all found it too strong and said it tasted artificial like some flavouring had been added.

  1. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

Yes - because I worry they do not eat enough wholegrain!

  1. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

I would try them again as I liked it but if the kids still would not eat it then I would probably not continue to buy it.

  1. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Probably not but only because the kids did not like it.

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

I wasn't too keen - the bread was a bit stale and dry. I'd hoped for a denser, moister texture (something like the Tasty Wholemeal maybe). I found it a bit unsatisfying, and found the fruit too sweet. However DH was more positive than me and seemed to quite like as an alternative to toast that's not too unhealthy.

  1. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

They didn't seem particularly keen. It looked too much like bread to be that interesting to them.

  1. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

I prefer them to eat wholegrain than white bread, so yes this would make me more likely to buy

Not sure I'd get the bread again. I'd probably try the bagel.

Not really, I think I'd prefer teacakes, the texture of the bread was just too dry and it was a little dull. Sorry!

) What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

Overall impression was good, enjoyed the ease of toasting with the slices fitting into toaster super easy. On first taste I did think it tasted quite sweet mind.

  1. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

DS loves it, he began saying he didn't want to try it as there were cranberries in it (he was looking at the packaging) but once he tasted it he has been hooked. He prefers it un-toasted with just butter, where as I love it toasted.

  1. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

Yes, it's very important for ds to get his fibre. I would choose the loaf that was wholegrain over another that wasn't.

Will buy some depending on the price tbh. We would buy bagels, prob not muffins.

Yes, as it is tasty and different from other fruit loafs out there to buy.

  1. Yes I really liked the bread, particularly the cranberry and apple taste. If the bread could be even more 'natural' in terms of its ingredients that would improve it even more.
  1. Yes my daughter liked it a lot.
  1. Fibre content is definitely a big selling point for me.
  1. I would consider other products in the range depending on their sugar / fat content.
  1. Yes I would recommend the fruit bread to others. I think of it as a nice snack which is healthier and more filling than eg a biscuit or chocolate bar.

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

A good concept but didn't live up to the 'fibre' aspect - too soft/chewy for a loaf - I thought should be sturdier.

  1. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

DD (2) quite liked it but said it had a funny smell. I agree = too synthetic smeling.

  1. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

I think this message would definitely encourage me but don't feel it rang true as so much else along with the fibre - e.g. sugar.

I wouldn't buy the bread but would consider muffins/bagels for a 'sturdier' option.

  1. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Would suggest they might want to give it a try but not ringingly endorse!
