1) What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

Lovely fluffy texture, delicious toasted. The fruit was succulent and tasty, though I was disappointed that there wasn't more fruit in each slice.

2) How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

My teenage daughter really enjoyed this bread for breakfast (an achievement in itself!) however she felt it didn't contain enough fruit. My son is on the autistic spectrum and eats a very limited diet and unfortunately he refused to try it as the sight of the red berries in the bread put him off.

3) Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

Although I like the fact the kingsmill bread provides a high percentage of daily fibre, the lack of fruit would really put me off buying this bread.

4) Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

If this fruit bread contained more fruit and was comparatively priced then I possibly would buy this product again as I did enjoy the texture and overall taste of this fruit loaf.

) Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend this product for it's texture and taste, though I would mention the lack of fruit in the bread.

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?
I liked the size - just right, and the squeeziness. It felt fresh after 5 days which was a bonus. I didn't like the slight stickiness.

  2. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?
DD age 2 enjoyed it toasted with butter and called it 'special bread', she left the crusts, no change there!

  3. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?
Yes it definitely a clear and easy selling point for me.

  4. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?
I don't like bagels, but muffins, yes.

  5. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
I have recommended it as a good alternative brunch. I took some to work wrapped in tinfoil and everyone asked about it.

Thanks for letting me take part.

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?
My overall impression of the product was good. I felt the slices were a good size and thickness for toasting. The bread smelt very nice when opening the packaging and whilst it was toasting. I was surprised that there appeared to be less fruit in each slice than I had expected (compared to rival brand's product) and there was no spice in the product which I think adds to the flavour of a fruit bread.

  2. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?
Our daughter appeared to enjoy the taste of the bread - she enjoys fruit bread usually so it is not an unusual thing for her to eat. Unable to tell if she preferred it to the product we usually buy due to her age.

  3. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?
I obviously try to ensure that our daughter eats as healthily as possible so I am conscious of these issues when purchasing food. She does eat wholemeal bread and wholegrain cereal anyway so I'm not sure the message around wholegrain would influence me hugely.

  4. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?
I don't think I would choose the product over the rival brand's fruit bread which in my opinion contains more fruit and is a definite favourite with our daughter. I think the additional fruit in the rival product adds to its flavour. I may try other products in the range as I like to try new products appearing on the market.

  5. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
I don't think I would recommend Kingsmill Fruit and Fibre to friends or family as I didn't think it was as tasty as other fruit breads. I was disappointed with the amount of fruit in each slice.

UmamiOrange · 03/10/2012 07:39

1) What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

My first impression on opening the packet was that the product smells quite odd. I believe it's the blueberries; it's the same sort of smell as blueberry muffins, and I found it quite off-putting. I also found that the flavour of the blueberries was a little overpowering, and would personally have preferred a higher ratio of the other fruits. Overall though, I though this was a really nice product. The size of the slices is good for a small snack. We froze one loaf, and it toasts really well straight from the freezer.

2) How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

My DS(3) first tried it just buttered, as a snack on a day trip. He tried three bites and refused to eat anymore. Later, we tried it toasted and buttered, and that was much more successful - he ate four slices in a row!

3) Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

I don't think this would make any difference to whether or not I would buy the product, as we already eat quite a lot of wholegrain. I do think it's important though, and I'm pleased the product has some wholegrain and not just white.

4) Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

I might. We love fruity bread, and I occasionally make it at home, but not very often as DS and DH will plough through a whole loaf and a whole pack of butter if they can in a very short space of time. I think the fact that I can keep this in the freezer means it would be really convenient as an additional snack option for DS. However, I've just had a look at the ingredients, and it's a pretty scary list compared with a home-made loaf, though most of the list appears to come from the 'blueberry-flavoured fruit pieces' Hmm. I'd be happier with it if these were gone and just dried blueberries used.

5) Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would suggest it as an option, if asked, as I think it's a nice product, and provides an alternative to plain toast/ bread.

Thanks for letting us try this product!

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

I liked the packaging and the idea of the fruit and fibre bread but I didn't like the bread's taste or texture. My son did though so it seems to be my personal preference.

  1. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

Ds enjoyed it with butter but seemed to enjoy it more toasted.

  1. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

Yes. I would be more likely to buy the bread for that reason.

  1. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

I already buy kingsmill bread, but haven't heard of other products. The bagels sound nice. I would try the other product but I think the bread was slightly more savory with the odd bit of fruit.

  1. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

I think I would recommend it for small children who don't enjoy bread but not for adults or others.

LeFreak · 03/10/2012 09:27
  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

I liked it. The slices were thicker and more substantial than other sliced fruit bread I've had and they filled me up more. It's not as sweet as other fruit bread but that's a positive for me.

  1. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

DD wasn't as keen, but she ate it so it couldn't have been that bad. She didn't want it again though. I asked her why and she said it was "a bit hot" (she had it cold) which in this case usually means spicy, but I've got to say I didn't notice this.

  1. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

Possibly more likely because it sounds healthier and filling

  1. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

Yes would probably try it again because I liked it. I would try other products too, just to see if they were any good.

  1. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes because I like it and think others would too.

glenthebattleostrich · 03/10/2012 09:27
  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

I liked it, it was tasty and stayed fresh for ages. It could have had bigger slices and more fruit.

  1. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

Both my DD and the children I mind really enjoyed it. They asked for it for breakfast and for snacks (this is unprecidented!!)

  1. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

Not really, I make sure DD has a good balanced diet.

  1. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

I think I would. It is a nice alternative to toast without being as heavy as a bagel. I would definately try muffins.

  1. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would, it was really nice and my friends with toddlers are always on the lookout for new snacks / meals for children. (It was also really nice with nutella for grownups!)

muddledsheep · 03/10/2012 09:48

Overall impression: we all liked the bread, it toasted well although the loaf size was small.

Children: DS1 felt it was yummy but needed more fruit, DS2 wanted more!, DS3 said it smelt yucky and wouldn't try it.

Fibre content: I am happy that my DC have a well balanced diet so wouldn't buy this just for the increased fibre.

I would happily buy this again as long as the price is competitive. I will also look out for the bagels as my boys would love these. I would recommend it if asked, don't know that I would suggest it unless it came up in conversations tho!

Thanks for allowing us to try this product, we enjoyed it very much!

OscarPistoriusGirlfriend · 03/10/2012 09:59
  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

We had a very positive impression of the bread, we really liked the taste, especially toasted with butter on it!

  1. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

Ds1 didn't like it because it has raisins in it. ds2 though really liked it and had it morning, noon and night!

  1. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

Yes because I like to get them off to a healthy start in the morning and as they would normally have two slices of a morning it made the rest of the day easier with regards to seeing they ate enough fibre. (ds1 suffers from constipation, so this is something I do worry about.) Although since he won't eat it because of the raisins it's a moot point.

  1. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

We will definitely be buying this as a regular item as three out of the four of us enjoyed it. My DH and I especially liked how full we felt after eating it, we were both full until lunch and we normally eat breakfast before 8 and lunch after 12! DH even ate it for breakfast which is an achievement because he normally won't eat a proper breakfast.
I probably would buy it in bagel form because the kids like them and I think DS1 would eat it if it were a bagel. I wouldn't buy muffins because I wuold buy tea cakes instead as a treat.

  1. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend it based on how full we felt, I would recommend this as a breakfast item because it takes away mid-morning hunger pangs and I would recommend this as a good snack or breakfast for kids.

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

It looked fresh, interesting. The slices were smaller than I expected. It wasn't too sweet which was good.

  1. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

One of them loved it, the other didn't (she doesnt like similar things like hot cross buns etc)

  1. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

Maybe, its good to know that it is fairly healthy

  1. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

Yes probably, it was useful as an after school snack. I would try other products in the range

  1. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes because it is something different and tasted nice and is fairly healthy

costumequeen · 03/10/2012 10:25

Overall, we have really enjoyed trying this bread, and we all liked the taste. I found I could taste the apple more whn it was untoasted, but I did find it a little dry. Once toasted, it tasted more like other fruit breads I had tried in the past.

Yes my DD (2) loved the 'raisin bread' and has had it most mornings as part of her breakfast, both toasted and simply buttered.

Not particularly as she has plenty of wholegrain in her diet already, but it is better to have it than not I guess!

Yes, if it was wel priced I would buy it in the future, and would definitely be interested in bagels - yum!

  1. Yes I would, as we all enjoyed it and it also made a handy afternoon snack for my dd too.
SleepyCaz · 03/10/2012 10:59
  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked? I liked the packaging and the product looked like it had plenty of fruit in!

  2. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product? My 6 and 3 year old both loved it! They liked it toasted and untoasted, and my 3 year old liked it with jam too.

  3. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why? I like to try and feed the DC's as healthily as possible so it would probably make me more likely to buy it.

  4. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not? Already buy Kingsmill bread and breakfast muffins, and if the fruit bread was well priced, I would definitely buy that too.

  5. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? Yes, it's delicious and healthy too :)

BiscuitsandBaileys · 03/10/2012 11:13
  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

It is quite tasty but not what I was expecting, it felt like something was missing from it, maybe cinnamon or something. We all enjoyed it though. It was a good slice for fitting in the toaster.

  1. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

My children loved it and even had it in their packed lunches as jam sandwiches. They liked the raisins in it.

  1. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

No, this would not make me buy the product as they eat a varied diet.

  1. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

I would buy this again as we all liked it. Bagels also sound nice.

  1. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend it. It was tasty, a good size loaf and nice small slices.

whatsonyourplate · 03/10/2012 11:57
  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

I liked the fruityness, but thought it could have been a bit sweeter, and maybe have a bit of spice in it. I wasn't convinced about the blueberries - sultanas might have been better for me.

  1. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

My DS (4) liked it, especially because of the fruit. My DD (8) wouldn't try it as she doesn't like things with 'bits' in.

  1. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

Yes because my kids won't eat obviously wholemeal bread. They already have 50/50 or similar bread for their sandwiches.

  1. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

I might do, now and then, depending on price. I think teacakes or hot-crossed buns would be nice.

  1. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would probably recommend this product, especially to friends with children who were having similar problems getting kids to eat enough fibre. It is tasty and makes a nice easy breakfast or snack.

I also think it would make very nice bread and butter pudding!

thefudgeling · 03/10/2012 12:31
  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

Overall I liked it. It reminded me of toasted teacakes. I don't particularly like the blueberry flavoured apple pieces in it though, they tasted artificial. The sultanas and cranberries are lovely though.

  1. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

DS liked it, but has no comment as he can't talk yet. Ate it all though when given at breakfast and snack time.

  1. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

Not really, because DS already eats a lot of brown bread so I'm not worried about that.

  1. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

Yes, I'd buy it for DS, but not for myself as I didn't like the blueberry flavouring. Will look for the muffins etc next time I'm out shopping for food, as DS might like those too.

  1. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, it would be good for people who need to get more wholegrain into reluctant children!

Youremindmeofthebabe · 03/10/2012 12:33

1&2) My overall impression was good, both kids and husband loved it. The 5 year old demolished it with particular gusto and didn't even say it looked or smelt disgusting. Seeing as he has said this to every other new thing I have given him in the last 6 mOnths, then I think that's a reccomendation! I personally found it a bit dry and felt it needed toasting, but that was how everyone liked to eat it anyway! I would have liked some spice.

  1. it sounds like I might, but I would have to investigate further the ingredients/ sugar/ salt on the packet information

  2. I probably would try the other things, bagels sound interesting, if competitively priced.

  3. I would recommend this to people who liked dried fruit!

ClaimedByMe · 03/10/2012 12:51
  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

My first impression of the smell when I got the box, the smell was lovely, the packaging was fine.

  1. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

My ds refused to try it but dd liked it toasted.

  1. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

It would make me buy it if I thought they would actually eat it, I think its important that their diet is varied although they do eat wholemeal bread.

  1. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

I would buy it again, it was great toasted as a snack with melted butter, I would try the other products as I like trying new things.

  1. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yeah I would reccomend, it was fresh and tasty and a great snack.

boredandrestless · 03/10/2012 13:01

Promised I would come back and give more detailed feedback - here I am! Grin

We tried the Kingsmill fruit and fibre toasted with butter, we all enjoyed it. I liked that it wasn't too heavy like some fruited breads, and my son liked that "it's not too spicy" (I think he means compared to the spices in say, a hot cross bun). Smile

I was pleased to get a little extra fruit into him, and as he suffers from constipation the extra fibre was a bonus too.

We also tried it as it was, buttered, but we both agreed we preferred it toasted. It was a nice warm after school snack for a couple of days in a row, and made a really nice change. I will definitely buy it in the future.

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

We enjoyed the bread. It was tasty toasted with butter.

  1. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?
Both of my dd's enjoyed the bread overall. My dd2 said the fruit was too lumpy but she ate it all!

  2. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?
Yes definitely, we are trying to eat more healthily and anything tasty that can help with this I'd definitely a plus point for me.

  3. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

I would definitely buy it again (if the price was similar to other products) as we all enjoyed it and it makes a delicious change. I would like to try muffins ( we don't like bagels!)

  1. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes and I already have! I have my parents some of the load and they both enjoyed it. I would also recommend it to my friends who have young children

Thank you for allowing us to try this product!

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?
The whole family enjoyed the Fruit and Fibre Bread. DH and DS had it toasted for breakfast and DD and I ate it as it was, dipped into home made raspberry jam! We found it a versatile product which could be used either for breakfast or an easy snack. I liked the packaging and although I initially thought the loaves looked quite small, they were actually a good size for a few days of breakfasts for a family.

  2. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?
DD enjoyed the mix of fruit in the bread, particularly the cranberries. DS ate it, enjoyed it but did not have specific comment about it. DH very much enjoyed it.

  3. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?
Yes, we are always looking for healthier breakfast options. The children enjoyed the sweetness of the dried fruit and it just gives an alternative to the normal weetabix or toast options.

  4. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?
Yes, we would buy it and would definitely be interested in the rest of the range. I think DD would like the muffins.

  5. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
We all enjoyed it, so would certainly recommend it.
Thank you for letting us try this product and apologies for the late feedback but DD had an expected hospital stay.

Hello! Sorry I'm a bit late with this feedback - had unexpected internet outage.... Anyway, I'm here now :)

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?
I liked the idea of it before it even arrived! I really like Starbucks fruit toast, and thought this was really similar (albeit a bit lighter on the fruit). The real plus point for me was the calorie content - 84 calories per slice, so about the same as regular bread (although the F&F slices are smaller). I ate this for breakfast (and afternoon snacks) with butter spread on it - delicious!

  2. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?
DD (3.5y) really liked it to, although did want to put chocolate spread on it. She accepted it without chocolate spread, and then ate two slices (and asked for more!). She's generally a good eater, so this wasn't a surprise.

  3. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?
To be honest, I don't really think much about the family's wholegrain intake, so this wouldn't sway me one way or the other.

  4. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?
I will be buying this when I can find it in the shops - definitely. It might even become my 'staple' breakfast. I would be tempted to try the other products, but suspect they would have more calories, so will probably stick to the bread. I also think that a cinammon / nutmeg verison would be fabulous

  5. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, because it was delicious! I shared the second loaf with family and they enjoyed it too.

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked? 2. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product? Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why? Yes it would, because I do try to ensure he eats healthily, and I consider this to be much better for him than say, jam on toast and it does taste quite similar

  1. Overall impression was good. We all liked the taste and found it a convenient snack.
  1. My two year old loved it and enjoyed it for breakfast some days and as an afternoon snack on others. She was a little bit suspicious of the fruit bits to begin, I think because she's more used to seeing raisins in her fruit bread.
  1. We already eat plenty of wholegrain so not really an issue.
  1. I think I've tried the muffins before and would definitely try the bagels as we get through a lot throughout the week.
  1. I would recommend it but might warn them about the odd smell it has before it's toasted as I think it might put some people off.

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked? I thought it was a nice size, just right for supper. I thought it seemed to have lots of additives and that made me wonder if it was really that healthy to give the children
  2. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product? My DD didn't love it, it was half eaten.
  3. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why? I don't really believe it was that healthy after reading the ingredient list so I wouldn't buy it again.
  4. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not? I tried it and didn't like the artificial berry taste so I wouldn't buy it again.
  5. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not? No I wouldn't recommend it as I didn't like the bread.

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?
Overall impression was fine - I didn't really like the smell.

  2. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?
DD enjoyed it so did one of her friends.

  3. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?
Not really - DD gets a lot of wholegrain already.

  4. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?
I might buy it now and then as I like to buy different things. I would buy other items in the range if they were on offer.

  5. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
I probably wouldn't because the smell of it really put me off. It also, I felt, went stale quite quickly. I also froze one loaf and don't feel like it came out of the freezer well - not fresh feeling.
