  1. really enjoyed the taste and texture, nice alternative to regular bread every now and then.

  2. ds1 didn't like the large pieces of fruit, although he does normally like raisins. The rest of the family loved it.

  3. wouldn't make me any more likely to buy, I'd buy a plain wholemeal loaf if I'm concerned about healthy eating since this cries out for being slathered in butter...

  4. yes will definitely buy again. Would notice the king mill packaging now but would depend on pricing in store.

  5. I'd mention it to friends and family who I knew would enjoy it, yes.

HipHopOpotomus · 09/10/2012 14:11

I saw F&F it in the supermarket at lunchtime today - I'm afraid I brought the Raisin & Cinnamon bread on the shelf next to it. I simply prefer the taste - I didn't even look at the fibre content though.

1) What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?
I liked the smell as soon as I opened the packet, yummy!

2) How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?
My daughter really enjoyed it as it smelt nice and she could see and pick the berries!

3) Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?
Yes, I did not know that. It would definitely make me more likely to buy it as it is tasty as well as good for you.

4) Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?
I would definitely buy it again as well as try the other products in the range as I was quite impressed with the taste.

5) Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would definitely recommend it as a tasty and less boring alternative to normal bread.

SophiesMummySaid · 09/10/2012 16:12

Hi, thanks for letting us try the bread.

Sorry, but we were a little underwhelmed.

1) What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

We enjoy toasted teacakes and hot cross buns, but found this bread less enjoyable. All sweet and no substance. DH thought it was too sour, but he wouldn't usually eat cranberries anyway.
I thought the texture was too dry to eat untoasted.

2) How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?
DS1 very fussy anyway - sniffed and declined. (He does eat hot x buns though).
DS2 eats most things - tried it and spat it out.

  1. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

No. It wouldn't be for the kids if I bought it, and I have plenty of fibre in my diet so it wouldn't sway me.

  1. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

I don't think I would buy it again. It was Ok, but I prefer the moistness ( is that a word?) and spices in hot cross buns and similar.

  1. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

No, sorry. It's not to my taste.

SophiesMummySaid · 09/10/2012 16:15

Sorry, forgot to mention, I probably wouldn't consider zbagels etc unless they were a different flavour. Eg raisin and cinnamon.

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

i quite liked the bread and my older DC liked it as well toasted and with butter on it, i really liked the fruits in there

  1. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

my older one enjoyed it but the little one didn`t like it, but he is always a bit particular with his food

  1. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

i normally try and buy wholemeal anyway, but i would buy it once a while in addition to other healthy things for the whole family

  1. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

i think i would prefer bagels or muffins as they are good snacks for after school

  1. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

i already told my friend and she had a try of mine, her whole family really liked and enjoyed it

neddle · 09/10/2012 19:04
  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

I liked it and ate quite a few slices the day we got it! The loaves did seem kind of small - with 4 children, an entire loaf was needed for breakfast.

  1. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

They liked it, particularly dd, who isn't keen on dried fruit.

  1. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

I don't really look at things like that. I'm not bothered about how much wholegrain my children eat.

  1. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

I would buy it if it was on offer. It's probably not something I'd buy on a regular basis in addition to normal bread.
It's not something I'd consider using for sandwiches as it's sweet, so I don't think I'd consider muffins, bagels etc.

  1. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

I think I would as something to toast for breakfast. Don't see it as an alternative to regular bread, more an addition.

BorisTheBold · 09/10/2012 20:43
  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked? Looked good, small slices were perfect for children.

  2. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product? 2 out of my three enjoyed it, toasted with butter. They would have preferred more fruit though. Also, the smell of the bread (untoasted) was not overly inviting.

  3. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why? No, am not hugely bothered by wholegrain consumption.

  4. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not? I would buy this, as it's a good alternative on those mornings when time is an issue and I can't wait for the children to spend 30 mins eating a bowl of cereal! Would possibly truy friuty muffins.

  5. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not . I would recommend.

TeaBrick · 09/10/2012 21:31
  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

My overall impression was that it was a more substantial bread than other fruit breads that I have tried, it also kept well, as when I finally had time to pick it up from the sorting office, it was the day before the best before date, however it was really fresh still. I liked the fruit (cranberry?), and the fact that it didn't have that artificial spice taste that some fruit breads have.

  1. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

My ds ate one slice in the car on the way home from the post office, then said he didn't like it whenever I offered it to him again.

  1. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

I wouldn't buy it for ds as he would obviously be unlikely to eat it, however I would buy it again for myself and keep in the freezer for toasting. There is obviously the possibility that ds would change his mind, I would offer him a slice if I was having one.

  1. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

Yes I would buy it again, and would also consider buying the muffins and bagels, as I liked the taste and texture of the bread. I don't usually but white bread, as it seems a bit insubstantial and of no nutritional value, and not worth eating really, but I found this more filling.

  1. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I would, only if they expressed a desire to try a fruit bread with extra fibre though, unless Kingsmill want to pay me some kind of commission, in which case I'll be happy to start conversations about it.

TeaBrick · 09/10/2012 21:31

Wink, obviously

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

This bread was really tasty, especially as toast. Lovely fruity taste. Particularly liked that there was a variety of fruit within the bread.

  1. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

My dd loved the bread. I gave it to her as toast and she really enjoyed it. As she is only just 1 she couldn't tell me what she particularly liked but I liked that it was fruity but healthy!

  1. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

I don't think it makes too much difference as I am looking at the taste and not necessarily whether it has a certain percentage of fibre in it.

  1. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

I would definately buy this bread again. i love fruit bread as toast but I do not buy it on every shopping trip. I would definately choose this one again though. I would definately be willing to try a fruit and fibre range of bagels too.

  1. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes definately. There isn't a wide range of fruit bread out there and this was very tasty.

sfancy · 10/10/2012 09:55

My son is a VERY picky eater ( he is 4 my little one is 2) and I am happy to report that they loved this! The slices are filled with currents and other bits of fruit that not only make it appealing for them, but has the right level of sweetness and nutrition.

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

Similar to other products of this type.
Yes, the fruit has a sharpness to it.

  1. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

Fruit was a bit sharp for my DD but that's what I like about it so I guess that's a personal taste thing

  1. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

Yes, because I am diabetic as was my Dad and my DD is therefore at increased risk of becoming so herself so any slow release carb product is of interest to me.

  1. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

Yes, for all the reasons quoted above and ditto re the muffins and bagels, assuming they are equally healthy

  1. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, I have several friends who are diabetic and we're always looking for tasty but healthy foods

urbanturban · 10/10/2012 18:47

1) What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

I loved the texture and the aromatic smell of the spices - looked interesting too which is obviously a bonus!

2) How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

DC loved it ! They enjoyed having something different to normal toast for breakfast/snack and DD1 took it to school as a breaktime snack and said it was very tasty! They enjoyed the amount of fruit in it which made it extra tasty and filled them up!

3) Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

Yes definitely - it can be a struggle sometimes to get the right amount of protein/fruit/veg/wholegrain etc into your diet and ESPECIALLY into the diet of the DC............the fact that this bread is tasty and also provides a lot of their wholegrain requirements is definitely a bonus!

4) Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

Yes will most definitely be buying this again, its lovely! Would also try the other products too as I have been very impresed with this range!

5) Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes - would recommend it as its 'different', tasty and healthy.

Thanks for the opportunity to try!

mum2jakie · 10/10/2012 22:11
  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

I liked the bread. It was different from other products currently on the market and I particularly liked the inclusion of different berries which gave this a quality taste and helped to keep the bread moist. It was particularly moreish toasted.

  1. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

My three boys were a little wary about trying this initially - something new to them! Once they tried it, they all really enjoyed it, especially toasted and all had it for breakfast and as a healthy after school snack.

  1. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

Yes, it would because it seems a healthier option than the sugar laden cereals that my older boys generally choose for breakfast

  1. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

I would consider buying this again, depending on price. I'd also be interested in other similar products from the range, especially if they include the same tempting combination of different berries.

  1. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

I woud recommend this to others as it is different to other products and a healthy snack that I can feel good about offering to my family. It also tastes lovely and fruity, with the individual fruit pieces being easy to distinguish and identify, not just mush!

colleysmill · 10/10/2012 22:31
  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

it smelt lovely. But looked quite dinky - small loaves!

  1. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

Ds wolfed it down and thought it was lovely and preferred fruity bread over normal (and homemade) He is too young to be really specific though :)

  1. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

initially I would have thought probably not but actually as ds is growing this is a good message to give to children. But I would need to re-look at the sugar content before I fully endorse this message. Saying that he eats all the bread I buy and I dont always check sugar content on that.

  1. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

Yes actually I would. It smelt divine whilst being toasted. Dh ate the first loaf single handedly on his own and thought it was lovely - sweet but not overly sweet like a tea cake. The only thing it wasnt good in was dunked in soup. DH and Ds like tea cakes and muffins so would probably buy both uf the price was reasonable

  1. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

yes i would. First time as a tester recommending something but whilst personally I wasn't very keen (savoury tooth) ds and dh liked it and I would always buy something for them that I wouldn't necessarily eat myself. Majority rules here :)

BehindLockNumberNine · 11/10/2012 17:03
  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

My first concern was that the loaf's packaging did not really distinguish it from the ordinary Kingsmill bread I buy. It does not stand out as being Fruit and Fibre. (well, not enough for me...)
When you open the bag there is a gorgeous smell, so that was lovely Smile
It was nice untoasted but DIVINE toasted with some creme fraiche and a sprinkle of cinnamon (had that for afternoon tea last weekend, made with the loaf I had frozen, which defrosted well and toasted up well after having been frozen.)

  1. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

Both the children liked it. Ds (who loves anything bread based) adores it and it has become his favourite after-school snack.
Dd (who does not like or eat bread) quite liked it but not enough to have it willingly as an afternoon snack (although she did like the toasted creme fraiche cinnamon version)

  1. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

I am not too hung up about percentages this and percentages that. I feel that we 'naturally' eat the required amount of fibre / fat / sugar / protein etc over the week without counting. That said, my children like cereal for breakfast and ds has fruit and fibre after school so we are getting plenty of wholegrain.

Would it make me more likely to buy the product? Perhaps, if I were worrying about eating enough grains...

  1. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

Yes, definately. I would actually prefer the idea of muffins and bagels so will look them up next time I go shopping.

  1. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, definately, in fact have already recommended it to dd's friend's mum.

Thank you for letting us try the bread Smile

carolinefromhackney · 11/10/2012 17:58

) What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?
We liked it on the first eating then went off it a bit. It toasted nicely - but didn't feel drawn to have more after the second time

  1. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?
they liked it quite a lot at first and were excited to be trying it, but when offered on day 3 they didn't want it and none of us were keen on the cranberries. We never finished it all off.

  2. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

yes it would make me more inclined to if it was the first time to try it

  1. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

I might if it was on a special but overall I was put off by the list of ingredients and the longeivity - the packet was still going with no mould after 2 weeks and anything with that much preservative in my eyes in not healthy. Thus I wouldn't go for other stuff in the range either.

  1. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

probably not, because of all the things added

  1. I'm really sorry and I wanted to love this but none of us did. The smell was overpowering in our opinion and lacked the back up of a lovely flavour.

I'd agree with those who said it was over sweet but underflavoured. I would have personally preferred added spice but I also love the Starbucks fruit bread which is more fruit than spice so a good comparison.

  1. DS, who is never known to turn down a bread product, nibbled it and wouldn't touch it again. I'm afraid he is very like his mother!
  1. The idea of a fun snack/treat bread with high fibre is a great thing - if we had liked the flavour. So it would have induced me, had I liked it, to buy it again.
  1. No I'm sorry but we wouldnt buy it again nor anything else with the same flavour, unless we knew that flavour had changed. Sorry!
  1. Sorry no, I just didn't like it enough.

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

*I thought it was really nicely packaged and smelled appetising. Although nice 'raw' it was delicious toasted.

  1. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

*My son is only 1 so couldn't tell me his likes and dislikes but it was a big success toasted, crusts and all gone in no time. He particularly enjoyed it after his cereal in the morning.

  1. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

*Yes, I think it would. I like him to get as much wholegrain as possible and this is an easy way to get some.

  1. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

*I would definitely buy the bread and most likely the bagels as we are big bagel fans in this house too. I can;t imagine the muffins, not sure the flavour would lend itself well but that's maybe just me.

  1. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

*Yes I would definitely recommend it, my family really enjoyed it and I would have no reason not too.

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?

I really enjoyed the bread! When it got delivered I opened it up for a taste straight away and ended up having a few slices dry. Then I tried it toasted and I really liked it. Generally, i do like fruity bread anyway, but found this a lot nicer than your average fruit loaf, tasted fruitier, fresher, and it didn't give me heartburn like other fruit loaves do (they might have more citrus?).

  1. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?

My DS didn't seem overly keen on the bread untoasted unfortunately... I'm not really sure what he disliked, he just spat it out! But he did like it when I'd toasted it and smothered it in butter - though might make it a bit more unhealthy!

  1. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?

I think it definitely would. I believe fibre is a really important part my my DS's diet.

  1. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?

I definitely would buy the bread!!! I really liked the taste of it, and it did toast well. I am pregnant at the moment and I think it was a great breakfast for me. I'm not too sure a fruity bagel would work... and also, if I wanted a muffin I think I'd want a "naughty" one, not a wholegrain one, so probably wouldn't try these products

  1. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

Definitely would recommend. Especially for people with kids who are trying to encourage a healthy diet.

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?
I didn't like the way it smelt when it was being toasted but I'm pregnant and my sense of smell is a bit off!
I liked the different fruits in the bread and it's general appearance.

  2. How about your DC? Did they enjoy the taste of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread or not? Was there anything they particularly liked or disliked about the product?
The DC loved it! Toasted or untoasted they wolfed it down.

  3. Kingsmill says "By eating a slice of Fruit & Fibre bread, your child will start the day by having 35% of their recommended daily wholegrain" - do you think this message would make you more likely to buy the product or not? Why?
It would definitely encourage me to buy it. I know its important for my DC to have fibre in their diets.

  4. Now that you've tried it, do you think you would consider buying Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? If so, why? If not, why not? How about other products in the Fruit & Fibre range such as muffins and bagels, do you think you might try any of these? If so why, if not, why not?
I would buy the bread definitely. I would probably buy the muffins as well as I know my DC will eat them...so will I!|

  5. Finally, if it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I would, because I am always looking of easy ways to get fibre and dried fruit in my children's diet!

Thank you MN HQ!

  1. What was your overall impression of Kingsmill Fruit & Fibre bread? Was there anything you particularly liked or disliked?
I liked that the loaf wasn't too large so a nice snack size for dc. Dh found it a bit sweet and no-one particularly liked it when it wasn't toasted but I wouldn't have served it that way anyway (DH!)

DD appeared to like it as always ate well, 6 mo so couldn't tell me one way or another. DS also enjoyed this as afternoon snack and has since asked for the fruity bread. Friends DD also really enjoyed this and friend will be looking out for this in future.

I think the message is great but by the name, ingredients, etc I would have been keen to try anyway as this does convey a healthy start.

I would buy this and will also be looking out for the rest of the range as it's important to have variety with small children.

I took one of the loafs to centre parcs over the weekend and was able to test on my own family and my friends family. I also tried out on my parents. Everyone who tried it did like it, not all loved it but no-one hated it, so would def recommend to others. Will also suggest to playgroup as possible snack for kids as they are always looking for ideas.
