I have been using the kitchen wipes and the bathroom spray.

  1. Overall I've been really pleased with the products. What I liked the best was how effective the products were and thought their cleaning power was fantastic. If I had to say there was one thing I didn't like it would be lack of scent.
  1. I found that both products gave a power clean. The kitchen wipes even got the burnt on grime off of my hob, the first thing I've found which was up to this job! I used the bathroom spray on done really grimy areas in my bathroom Blush and again found that the product was more than up to the job!
  1. As previously I might like it if the products had a fragrance HOWEVER I was glad that the products didn't have a bleachy smell. I didn't notice any chemical residue from either product.
  1. I used the kitchen wipes on my hob, still can't get over the fact that they got it clean, it's the first product I've found which managed it.
  1. I fully intend to use the products again, thank you Dettol, definitely made my late pregnancy nesting a lot easier Grin

Tested kitchen spray and bathroom wipes Smile

  1. Liked the packaging and liked the clean smell. The wipes are nice and absorbent too. Unlike some other brands, which just move the water/dirt around, these soaked it up.
SleepyCaz · 09/03/2012 15:52
  1. Very powerful clean. The spray brought everything up a treat Grin
SleepyCaz · 09/03/2012 15:52
  1. Fresh smell. Not harsh and chemically pungent. Didn't notice residue.
SleepyCaz · 09/03/2012 15:53
  1. No.
  1. No, too expensive Sad

  1. What was your overall impression of the Dettol Power and Pure products you tried? What did you like the most about the range? Was there anything you didn't like?

High quality packaging and worked well without leaving that well known bleachy smell - that usually leaves me feeling sick.

  1. Did you feel Dettol Power and Pure gave a powerful clean or not? How did it compare to other cleaning products you use?

Both products cleaned really well, the wipes especially seemed a lot better than some we have had previously.

  1. What did you think of the smell? Do you think it smells less 'bleachy' than other cleaning products you use or not? Did you notice any difference in terms of there being any chemical residue being left behind compared to others?

Great to have a 'fresh' smell rather than a 'bleachy' one. The bathroom spray left very little - if any - residue, I usually notice some around the taps but not this time.

  1. Did you use Dettol Power and Pure in any areas of your home that you would not usually use a powerful cleaning product? If so, where?

I did the door frames and around the handles - three little boys = lots of finger marks around en route to the bathroom after tea! It worked really well and didn't appear to have any undesired effect.

  1. Do you think you would use Dettol Power and Pure cleaning products again? If so why? If not, why not?

Yes as long as they're not a lot more expensive, possibly worth paying a little bit extra to avoid the usually cleaning product bleach smell.

  1. Do you think you would recommend Dettol Power and Pure to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?

Probably if it came up in conversation, though I can't say we often talk about cleaning our bathrooms etc. - Except for after 'toddler poo gate' but that's a whole other story!! Grin

Silverlace · 09/03/2012 17:59

Further to previous feedback Q4 - I used the kitchen wipes to clean a very greasy sandwich toaster and it cleaned it beautifully, it was useful to get in all the corners.

I also asked DS what he thought of the smell and he said he liked it.

Squiglettsmummy2bx · 09/03/2012 19:50

I tested bathroom wipes & kitchen spray.

  1. Overall impression was good. The packaging was eye catching. I liked that you don't have to rinse.
  2. The clean was good, better than shops own brand antibacterial spray I had been using.
  3. There was no off putting smell which I liked as a bleachy smell would make me want to rinse even if there was no need. There was no residue either. Everything was just fresh & clean.
  4. I used them on my fridge which I wouldn't use a strong cleaner on.
  5. I would use again.
  6. I would recommend.

1. What was your overall impression of the Dettol Power and Pure products you tried? What did you like the most about the range? Was there anything you didn't like?

Overall, I did like both products. I had the bathroom spray and the kitchen wipes. I thought that the smell was the best aspect, especially the bathroom spray fragrance - it lasted quite a long time and has a nice fresh smell. I didn't like the way the spray came out, though. For a bathroom cleaner I would prefer a finer mist rather than a large amount of foam just sort of spurting out (ahem) A mist type of spray (like mr muscle etc) provides more coverage and less chance of waste if your aim is rubbish (if you are distracted by fighting children for example) I felt I had to wipe it evenly around and on the bath with a cloth to ensure coverage and then leave it for the five minutes. Which kind of defeats the object of just spraying it on and leaving it.

2. Did you feel Dettol Power and Pure gave a powerful clean or not? How did it compare to other cleaning products you use?

It seemed to do the trick with both the bathroom and kitchen products - I was quite impressed with how easily the kitchen wipes seemed to clean - it spurred me on to tackling some big cleaning jobs! The kitchen wipes seemed to leave a smear free finish on chrome etc, but then when I looked again a few hours later, there was quite a bit of smearing which was disappointing. The kitchen wipes were a little too wet, too. On a few occasions I had to get some kitchen towel to wipe the cleaned item dry.

3. What did you think of the smell? Do you think it smells less 'bleachy' than
other cleaning products you use or not? Did you notice any difference in terms of there being any chemical residue being left behind compared to others?

I really liked the smell of both products, especially the bathroom one. Definitely less bleachy, I think. Residue wise, as mentioned earlier there were smears left with both products - I still had to use a dry cloth/kitchen roll to 'dry' the surface in order to get it looking sparkly clean...so unfortunately, it didn't live up to its residue free claim for me.

4. Did you use Dettol Power and Pure in any areas of your home that you would not usually use a powerful cleaning product? If so, where?

No - just the usual kitchen and bathroom area.

5. Do you think you would use Dettol Power and Pure cleaning products again? If so why? If not, why not?

I think I would use the kitchen wipes again - I was really quite impressed
despite the 'wetness' and bit of smear. I don't think I would use the bathroom spray again unless it was changed to a finer spray, a shame as I did like the smell!

6. Do you think you would recommend Dettol Power and Pure to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?

I don't think I would be going around raving about it to people - but if anyone asked me about the range, I would probably recommend the wipes. They compare favourably to similar brands on the market and I think they were very convenient.

down2earthwithabump · 09/03/2012 23:34

I trialed the kitchen spray and bathroom wipes.

1. What was your overall impression of the Dettol Power and Pure products you tried? What did you like the most about the range? Was there anything you didn't like?

First of all I was very excited to receive the freebies to trial esp as times are a bit tough in our household. Also, it did wonders for making me want to clean! Thank you for letting me trial the products.

I am not totally sure how the spray differs from the normal dettol anti-bac surface cleaner or spray apart from I imagine, the price?

Packaging looks good and gives the impression of something sanitary/sterile/to clean, but I agree with some other feedback that I initially took some time Blush to realise that the spray was for kitchen and wipes for bathroom, and query why the products are not interchangeable except that for marketing purposes to encourage consumers to buy more products.

I think in the invitation to do the trial it mentioned that the products could be used without hand protection/gloves but didn't find where it confirmed this on the product and was very unclear as to what "no harsh chemical residue" meant. And would like to know what chemical residue was left.

I do like the 99.9% bacteria kills tagline and seem to remember Louise Rednapp or someone investigating similar products on the television and finding this particular claim by this provider to be true.

I was also not clear whether there was an ideal way to wipe after the spray had been left for 5 mins... with a dry or damp or wet cloth?

It was also not clear that the wipes were flushable or how best to dispose. I thought it was funny and possibly ironic to state that one should use both sides of the wipe for environmental reasons, when it was not clear on the chemical residue left, and when they are disposable, use once wipes, and also as I was under the impression I didn't need gloves to use them.. but would not want toilet rim/seat grime against my skin as I used the other side of the wipe.

I also would like all cleaning wipes to be explicit that they are not for use on skin/babies as it appears (experience prior to this trial) the older generation just grab the wipes for a child, and don't always read the label of what it is for Shock!

2. Did you feel Dettol Power and Pure gave a powerful clean or not? How did it compare to other cleaning products you use?

I do think that both the products cleaned well, infact very well Grin. However the wipes didn't successfully attack the limescale ring around the taps on the bathroom basin. Also I am unclear as to the desperate to replace but inherited with the house kitchen sink and drainer which is a nasty matt brown colour and may be plastic but could be vinyl??? The product says clearly not to use on vinyl. But as I am unsure what type of material it is I gave it a good clean. The product left a spotty white residue, similar to windows after cleaning before polished. Along with my sink, there is an old brass tap so the product could not be used on that, and I didn't attempt it but was disappointed that a multi-purpose cleaner could not be successful on the sink (though realise it is antiquated and needs replacing).

3. What did you think of the smell? Do you think it smells less 'bleachy' than other cleaning products you use or not? Did you notice any difference in terms of there being any chemical residue being left behind compared to others?

I don't have a sense of smell (never have). But my family inform me that they have a more faint smell of anti-bac/clean with my 4 year old saying it smelt of powder. It seemed reasonable and less strong to them than other products and more the smell of anti-bac than bleach. The only difference in chemical residue (hard to tell when you are not clear what chemicals are leaving an invisible residue), was the white spots on the draining area of the sink.
It would be good to know if it really is safe for little ones to eat off dry-wipe clean areas after using the spray without ANY HARMFUL chemicals (not just no harsh chemicals) getting on their food, like the old anti-bac advertisement.

4. Did you use Dettol Power and Pure in any areas of your home that you would not usually use a powerful cleaning product? If so, where?
Sadly I have not yet managed to do the thorough clean I had wanted to this week due to a family situation, which means I do not feel I have fully utilised the products around the house. But I did do the key parts of kitchen and bathroom. I did use the bathroom wipes on the kitchen bin, and I did spray the children's play table, which may be the most powerful spray I have used as i normally just use a dab of washing up liquid on a cloth. Actually, this did lift pen marks and paint that hadn't come off before and looks much, much more clean.

5. Do you think you would use Dettol Power and Pure cleaning products again? If so why? If not, why not?
I am not sure. If my queries were be answered satisfactorily and the price was comparative then maybe but I probably need an advertisement to read to understand that is meant by "active oxygen" and "no harsh chemical residue" really means. I tend to choose the products that are more natural and less powerful and try to put more elbow grease in, and so am not sure I would choose power and pure above the normal surface cleaner or anti-bac spray. I probably wouldn't buy the wipes unless I knew they would be easily bio-degradable and not too harmful to the environment, and then only use them for emergencies (which then runs the risk of them losing their moisture over time) for example just before/as guests come round if short notice/unannounced, rather than the regular pre-meditated clean.

6. Do you think you would recommend Dettol Power and Pure to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?
If they saw the product I would happily relay my experience and the positives found. I probably wouldn't be an advocate as such but if a friend saw the products in my house and commented then I would let them know that my experience had been positive and that it had removed some mess and scum much quicker and better than other products.

Kitchen spray, bathroom wipes.

  1. What was your overall impression of the Dettol Power and Pure products you tried? What did you like the most about the range? Was there anything you didn't like?

I liked the packaging inasmuch as one can like cleaning product packaging! I'm not really keen on wipes for cleaning as a concept, save the planet and all that, tend to use a cloth and water/spray. I loved the concept of no residue but unsure how this is acheived if you dont have to rinse. No visible residue might be more accurate perhaps? Spray was a bit too foamy as others have said.

  1. Did you feel Dettol Power and Pure gave a powerful clean or not? How did it compare to other cleaning products you use?

Great clean, my hob looks better than it has for ages.

  1. What did you think of the smell? Do you think it smells less 'bleachy' than other cleaning products you use or not? Did you notice any difference in terms of there being any chemical residue being left behind compared to others?

Great smell, not as "chemically" as many other cleaners. Nice and fresh.

  1. Did you use Dettol Power and Pure in any areas of your home that you would not usually use a powerful cleaning product? If so, where?

Used the bathroom wipes on the kitchen floor. Did a good job.

  1. Do you think you would use Dettol Power and Pure cleaning products again? If so why? If not, why not?

I tend to go for cheap brands, if the dettol was on offer I would buy it

  1. Do you think you would recommend Dettol Power and Pure to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?

If it were to come up in conversation I would say I had tried it and liked it.

DairyNips · 10/03/2012 11:28

I was testing the bathroom spray and kitchen wipes.

1. What was your overall impression of the Dettol Power and Pure products you tried? What did you like the most about the range? Was there anything you didn't like?
Spray- I liked the packaging and the fact it claims to leave no harmful residue.
Wipes- I always find cleaning wipes convenient. Wipes came out of pack ok, sometimes got 2 by accident. I liked the amount of cleaner on each wipe, enough to get a bit of a foam going but not too wet.

2. Did you feel Dettol Power and Pure gave a powerful clean or not? How did it compare to other cleaning products you use?

Spray- I felt it gave a good clean, as good as anything else I've used. I had to spray quite a lot on to get a good coverage before I left it to work as it seems to come out in foamy blobs rather than a wide spread spray. I liked the smell very much, fresh and not overpowering or bleachy. I hoped it might remove a line scale type mark round my taps that nothing else has shifted but it didn't.
Wipes- good clean and easy to use. Seemed to shift any marks I tried to wipe. Haven't used kitchen wipes before but they seemed to clean greasy marks well.

3. What did you think of the smell? Do you think it smells less 'bleachy' than other cleaning products you use or not? Did you notice any difference in terms of there being any chemical residue being left behind compared to others?

Spray- The smell was fresh and clean and not too bleachy. Usually I have to open the window when cleaning but this wasn't the case. I didn't notice any residue but then I never do as I always thoroughly rinse after cleaning. I tried to just wipe away with a damp cloth but as I had sprayed quite a lot on I ended up rinsing it a bit too.
Wipes- no need to rinse and again the smell was nice and clean. My 4 year old son said they smelt nice and smelt like apples and pears and juiceGrin

4. Did you use Dettol Power and Pure in any areas of your home that you would not usually use a powerful cleaning product? If so, where?

Spray- I tried it on a floating bath thermometer that has become a bit mildewy but it didn't make any difference. It was just an experiment really, didn't expect it to shift the black mark.
Wipes- I used them on my lounge door that has glass panels as it was covered in smears and finger prints from the kids. All marks came off including a crayon mark. Also used them on the bin lid which they cleaned well. They cut through the grease on the cooker hood and tiles especially well.

5. Do you think you would use Dettol Power and Pure cleaning products again? If so why? If not, why not?

Yes if it was on offer, price is usually one of the main factors when I buy cleaning products.
I might be more inclined to buy the wipes than the spray.

6. Do you think you would recommend Dettol Power and Pure to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend it for the smell alone, in terms of cleaning performance I think it's about equal to anything else I've used.

(This is Dalrymps btw, I have name changedSmile)

gazzalw · 10/03/2012 14:59

We had the kitchen spray cleaner and the bathroom wipes to try out. The delay was Royal Mail redelivery-related rather than due to our reluctance to clean!!!

  1. What was your overall impression of the Dettol Power and Pure products you tried? What did you like the most about the range? Was there anything you didn't like?

We have a cat and only a small kitchen (with no utility room much to DW's chagrin!) so there are constant issues about not cross-contaminating cat's bowls etc...with the washing up bowl etc.... DW is a bit of a bleaching queen to prevent germs but we feel that it's very harsh and not at all environmentally friendly and ruinous to hands!

Very much liked that the Dettol kitchen spray is very much a one-product-suits-all. We have limited storage space so are always on the look-out for products that fulfil a variety of functions!

The bathroom wipes were equally useful for the bathroom as DW is constantly complaining about wee sprayed over the loo and surrounding floorspace by DS and myself Blush. Just useful for giving the whole loo a once-over when there's not necessarily enough time or the inclination to do a full bathroom clean!

  1. Did you feel Dettol Power and Pure gave a powerful clean or not? How did it compare to other cleaning products you use?

The kitchen floor (which is the surface I would most likely use it on as) was positively sparkling as were the stainless steel draining board and taps. The spray did seem to wipe through (without having to scrub) any food/drink residue on the floor particularly around the cat's bowls.

  1. What did you think of the smell? Do you think it smells less 'bleachy' than other cleaning products you use or not? Did you notice any difference in terms of there being any chemical residue being left behind compared to others?

I found the smell entirely unassuming which can only be a good thing as they often 'get up your nose' and cause choking and spluttering if you inadvertently inhale some spray! However, since spraying the kitchen floor the cat has been most suspicious and reluctant to come in to eat so maybe a stronger smell for her than for we humans!

No noticeable after-smell either and DW has a very strong sense of smell!

  1. Did you use Dettol Power and Pure in any areas of your home that you would not usually use a powerful cleaning product? If so, where?

Used some of the kitchen spray on the floor of the cupboard under the stairs where the cat's litter tray sits as we thought it appropriate.

DW cleaned down all the bedroom doors and the light switches with the wipes as they were covered in very grubby finger marks

  1. Do you think you would use Dettol Power and Pure cleaning products again? If so why? If not, why not?

I think we would but probably uniquely for the cat-go zones - so under the stairs and the kitchen floor. We very much liked that it kills bad bugs but DW reminds me of why we haven't been seduced by anti-bacterial cleaning products before - that they help promote immunity of bacteria to antibiotics etc... and that we need to be exposed to bugs in order to develop robust immune-systems.

  1. Do you think you would recommend Dettol Power and Pure to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?

I think it is a very good stand-by product to keep in one's cupboard for 'bacterial' emission emergencies - sickness, diarrhoea, animal wee/poo, dog muck on shoes etc.... (particularly if there's anyone in the house who has reduced functioning immune system) but would be reluctant to use it on a day-to-day basis because we are not sure in the long-term that such products might not do more harm than good to good and bad bacteria alike!

gazzalw · 10/03/2012 16:56

A PS from DW - she thinks that the bathroom wipes are possibly rather small for using to wipe down a loo or a biological spillage on the floor. They could possibly do with being half as big again!

We received a sample of Dettol Power and Pure Bathroom and a sample of Dettol P&P Multi purpose kitchen wipes. As DH does all bathroom cleaning those answers are his; my feedback is for the kitchen wipes.

1. What was your overall impression of the Dettol Power and Pure products you tried? What did you like the most about the range? Was there anything you didn't like?

The overall impression was good. We liked the packaging, its colours and overall presentation.

DH would give the bathroom cleaner 4 out of 5. Cleaning power was good. He thinks, though, he needed to supplement it with another product for more "scrub" power (he used CIF). He said it would be the equivalent of the Cilit Bang that you can find on the market atm; however, we would prefer buying the Dettol as he says it smells better (less chemical smell). No chemical residue that he noticed, he really liked that.

Regarding the kitchen wipes, I thought they were great. Nice fragrance, albeit a bit strong for me, but then I had never used kitchen wipes before. DD loved helping me clean the kitchen this morning using them.

2. Did you feel Dettol Power and Pure gave a powerful clean or not? How did it compare to other cleaning products you use?

Bathroom cleaner: see above. Great cleaning power for bathroom floor and very easy to use, no residue left.
Kitchen cleaner: great cleaning power. I loved how the draining board and the hobs looked after I used the wipes.

3. What did you think of the smell? Do you think it smells less 'bleachy' than other cleaning products you use or not? Did you notice any difference in terms of there being any chemical residue being left behind compared to others?

Bathroom product: much much less bleachy than other products. Smell is quite "nice" for a strong/deep cleaning product. No residue left that he noticed.

Kitchen product: smell was a little strong for me, but no residue left after use. I really liked that.

4. Did you use Dettol Power and Pure in any areas of your home that you would not usually use a powerful cleaning product? If so, where?

I cleaned the microwave with the wipes, it was squeaky clean after that! And I tried the bathroom cleaner on a window Blush and it worked brilliantly.

5. Do you think you would use Dettol Power and Pure cleaning products again? If so why? If not, why not?

Bathroom product: yes, we would. We're already faithful Dettol users (DH uses the Dettol Mould and Mildew killer) and we would happily replace the Cilit Bang for this one.

Kitchen product: I'm not sure, mainly because I'd be too tempted to use them all the time and spend a fortune Grin I'd rather continue using a sponge wipe with the Dettol surface cleanser.

6. Do you think you would recommend Dettol Power and Pure to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?

Definitely. They're great products, great quality and great cleaning power.

Thanks again for letting us be part of the product test Smile

  1. What was your overall impression of the Dettol Power and Pure products you tried? What did you like the most about the range? Was there anything you didn't like?

I didn't think they stood out from other major brand cleaning products, I didn't specifically like or dislike anything.

  1. Did you feel Dettol Power and Pure gave a powerful clean or not? How did it compare to other cleaning products you use?

I think both products cleaned well and I would buy again purely on cleaning performance

  1. What did you think of the smell? Do you think it smells less 'bleachy' than other cleaning products you use or not? Did you notice any difference in terms of there being any chemical residue being left behind compared to others?

I thought it still smelled a bit "cleanerish", not a strong leach smell, but deffinatly not natural.

  1. Did you use Dettol Power and Pure in any areas of your home that you would not usually use a powerful cleaning product? If so, where?

I used the wipes to clean out the children's lunchboxes and found the very effective at getting the seams clean and it saved time not having to rinse them.

  1. Do you think you would use Dettol Power and Pure cleaning products again? If so why? If not, why not?

I would use again, but probably only if on offer as I am on a strict budget so try to buy non branded items

  1. Do you think you would recommend Dettol Power and Pure to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend this product

EddiesTeddy · 11/03/2012 19:45

I got to test the Kitchen spray and the bathroom wipes.

  1. What was your overall impression of the Dettol Power and Pure products you tried? What did you like the most about the range? Was there anything you didn't like?
Overall the range seems good, the only think that I would have liked is for the wipes packet to have a click shut lid as I always find that by the time I get to the bottom of the packet I have to throw them away as they have dried out.
  1. Did you feel Dettol Power and Pure gave a powerful clean or not? How did it compare to other cleaning products you use?
the kitchen spray was very good however I am used to using bathroom spray which even after testing your wipes wouldn't change from the spray as I dont think the wipes seem to shine up as well.
  1. What did you think of the smell? Do you think it smells less 'bleachy' than other cleaning products you use or not? Did you notice any difference in terms of there being any chemical residue being left behind compared to others?
DP loved the smell as it reminded him of washing powder, I on the ohter hand thought it smelled a bit like surgical spirits
  1. Did you use Dettol Power and Pure in any areas of your home that you would not usually use a powerful cleaning product? If so, where?
No, we just used them where they were recommended for.
  1. Do you think you would use Dettol Power and Pure cleaning products again? If so why? If not, why not?
The kitchen spray yes, the wipes probably not I'm afraid as although they were very convinient they dodnt seem as effective as spray.
  1. Do you think you would recommend Dettol Power and Pure to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes due to efficiency and "clean" smell

Just wanted to add since using the bathroom Dettol Power and Pure, I've had many comments of a shinier bath tub, and clearer shower screen Smile
Of course I recommended Dettol Power and Pure Grin

My apologies for being so late to the thread - my laptop has died so using my phone which isn't the easiest!

My overall impression of the range was very good. I liked the suggestion that as well as getting rid of germs it also.makes for easy cleaning. I would point out that the packaging on the kitchen and bathroom ranges was very similar and would make it easy to pick up the wrong product - I live half an hour drive from my nearest supermarket so wouldn't be a happy bunny if this happened to me.

I really liked the kitchen spray - felt it really did deep clean with minimal effort from me. My lovely teenage ds makes tea for us all but the mess he leaves behind is unbelievable and my usual cleaner doesn't remove the tea stains so I end up having to bleach it but the drttol removed them no problem. The bathroom wipes seemed to leave no residue at all and very few went a long way compared to my usual brand.

I really liked the smell of the kitchen spray, didn't leave that chemically smell hanging around. I would have liked the bathroom range to have been slightly more pleasantly fragranced but I think its important that when you walk into a bathroom it should have that "just cleaned" smell whereas this product didn't have much fragrance at all.

I have used the kitchen spray just about everywhere! Door handles, window sills and my leather sofa. As I have a dog I am really concious of my house smelling doggy so disinfect just about everywhere. The product has kept any pongs at bay and left everything really clean looking.

I have already bought the bathroom spray on the back of this test and am planning on using the kitchen spray again however when I bought the bathroom spray it was half price and at 3 pounds a bottle normally, the price might put me off using it regularly. I'm not particularly loyal to any brand and will normally buy whatever is on offer but when I'm feeling flush I would spend more to get the kitchen spray as I was really impressed with it. If I hadn't already tried it though I doubt I would have given it a second glance at that price - sorry if that sounds harsh.

I would never discuss cleaning products with a friend as don't you know that housewifes have a team of fairies who come in and do it for us :)

Oh, meant to add thank you for letting me do the product test and also for the puppets - my girlies are loving them!

I received the Bathroom spay and Kitchen wipes.

  1. What was your overall impression of the Dettol Power and Pure products you tried? What did you like the most about the range? Was there anything you didn't like?
The range packaging was nicely designed - I always prefer white for cleaning products. Wasn't convinced by the smell!
  1. Did you feel Dettol Power and Pure gave a powerful clean or not? How did it compare to other cleaning products you use?
The kitchen wipes did a reasonable job, but I use washable wipes and flannels in our house and they're so much better for scrubbing.
  1. What did you think of the smell? Do you think it smells less 'bleachy' than other cleaning products you use or not? Did you notice any difference in terms of there being any chemical residue being left behind compared to others?
I didn't notice any residue - the bathroom spray wasn't as harsh as the Cif I used to use, and didn't leave any residue
  1. Did you use Dettol Power and Pure in any areas of your home that you would not usually use a powerful cleaning product? If so, where?
No.
  1. Do you think you would use Dettol Power and Pure cleaning products again? If so why? If not, why not?
I liked the bathroom spray so would buy again.
  1. Do you think you would recommend Dettol Power and Pure to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?
I think I probably would. I like it better than fragranced products.

I was testing the bathroom wipes and the kitchen spray.

  1. What was your overall impression of the Dettol Power and Pure products you tried? What did you like the most about the range? Was there anything you didn't like?

I have never used wipes before as I don't like the idea of the environmental impact of the throw-away element. They worked really well but I still dont think I would buy them.

  1. Did you feel Dettol Power and Pure gave a powerful clean or not? How did it compare to other cleaning products you use?

The bathroom wipes were great, I was amazed by how much surface area I could clean with just one wipe, using both sides. I have never used wipes before as I don't like the idea of the environmental impact of the throw-away element. The kitchen spray was less impressive, I currently use Dettol complete and didn't really think there was much difference in the cleaning ability. The Power and Pure was just a little better at getting rid of dried on food from the highchair.

  1. What did you think of the smell? Do you think it smells less 'bleachy' than other cleaning products you use or not? Did you notice any difference in terms of there being any chemical residue being left behind compared to others?

The smell was OK, I prefer the apple smell of Dettol Complete. The product didn't smell bleachy and although I could't see any residue my hands did feel funny after cleaning with the wipes.

  1. Did you use Dettol Power and Pure in any areas of your home that you would not usually use a powerful cleaning product? If so, where?

No. I would like to clean some of the bath toys with them but was confused as to why the bathroom wipes said they were suitable for toys but the kitchen spray did not.

  1. Do you think you would use Dettol Power and Pure cleaning products again? If so why? If not, why not?

Yes I probably would try the bathroom spray.

  1. Do you think you would recommend Dettol Power and Pure to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?

Dont tend to discuss cleaning with friends, might recommend to my Mum though!

I tried the bathroom wipes and the kitchen spray.

  1. Overall I thought the products were very effective. In particular the spray had good cleaning results. Wipes were slightly drier than I would have liked. I didn?t like the smell of the kitchen spray but liked the fact that it doesn?t have loads of chemicals in it.
  1. The kitchen spray shifted dirt very well, and is far better than multi purpose antibacterial spray I?ve used before. I have never used wipes before and they were OK at cleaning, but not all that powerful. I would normally use a spray which I find more effective, perhaps because for dirty areas, the wipes were not wet enough?
  1. I am in two minds about the smell of the kitchen spray. It certainly smells clean but really lingers and is very strong for my tastes. The wipes were less overbearing in terms of smell. Both products were good in that they didn?t leave a residue. The wipes certainly left behind a very shiny surface.
  1. I used the wipes on my chrome bathroom bins and they bought them up really well. They were clean and nice and shiny. I used the kitchen spray on some plastic toys, but did feel the need to give them a thorough rinse because the smell of the product.
  1. I would keep a packet of the bathroom wipes as I think they would be good for a quick wipe around the sink before visitors arrived. However, they wouldn?t replace my bathroom spray product. I wouldn?t buy the kitchen spray due to the smell.
  1. I would recommend the products if someone didn?t mind a strong smelling spray. They certainly work well and leave surfaces clean and shiny. I would only recommend the wipes for occasional use rather than deep cleaning.

  1. I was really pleased with the products I was sent. I took them into work too to get some other feedback - we cleaned part of our kitchen - and people were impressed.
  1. I don't know if I would use the word "powerful" but the results were better than my usual supermarket brand.
  1. I did like the smell and as I have psoriasis was delighted that my skin wasn't irritated without using rubber gloves.
  1. I tried it on the loo set - DS1, aged 5, made the loo a good cleaning target!
  1. I'd need to check out the price first but would probably use them again.
  1. I was so pleased that, as I say, I took the items into work.

Thank you for giving me a chance to try out these products it was appreciated.
