We have another exciting product test for you - we are looking for 40 Mumsnetters who don't already have a Wii at home but would like to take part in "My First Wii Challenge" with Nintendo.

Nintendo say they "are keen to offer Wiis to 40 MN families to encourage them to spend fun time together as a family as well as give them the opportunity to test out some great games". If you already have a Wii, please look out for the feedback thread for this project as Nintendo would like to hear your views too (in exchange for a prize draw Grin).

If you are selected for the test you'll be sent a Wii console, handsets and nunchucks for all the family plus the following games:

uDraw GameTablet with uDraw Studio
Mario Kart
Kirby's Epic Yarn, and
Just Dance Jnrs

We'd then like you to take part in 4 weekly challenges with the Wii. This will involve playing with one game per week and adding your feedback to a thread on Mumsnet.

The challenge will start week commencing 4 July and last for 4 weeks - so please only apply if you are able to add feedback every week in July.

Ideally we're looking for MNers in the UK with at least 2 children.

After the challenge is completed and you have added at least 4 lots of feedback you will be able to keep the console and games for your family to enjoy.

In addition, we will need 10 of the families selected to film themselves and their family playing with the Wii. These videos will be used on the Nintendo pages on Mumsnet in the autumn and possibly elsewhere (they will be hosted on YouTube). If you are willing to undertake the video element please indicate this on the form link below. You will be supplied with a FlipCam (which will need to be returned). You will be briefed on filming requirements but it shouldn't be too onerous.

To sign up please add your details here

Good luck and many thanks

this is so exciting.... and yes, christmas here too.... kids shrieking... DH swearing at cables... lol... and me reading directions for when he needs them....as he invariably will...Grin

IShallWearMidnight · 09/07/2011 11:01

Van arrived just as I turned the tap on, so no washing up has been done here! Have been playing Wii sports - I have a wii age of 65 apparently Blush but have impressed the DDs with how well i play tennis and bowl (apparently as an "old person" I have no right to be any good at any sports whatsoever Hmm. Methinks the parental controls need to be set [evil Grin ]
Thanks Ann, MN and Nintendo!

Bohica · 09/07/2011 11:02

I forgot to ask, we were picked to film. Has anyone had a camera arrive in their bundle as we haven't ?

Currently the girls are playing Kirby's epic yarn. It's perfect for their age range & I am getting peace & quiet. Our 3 year old is happily using the num chuck & believes she is making the characters move so no arguing!!

LawrieMarlow · 09/07/2011 11:05

The sponge bob and pictionary are connected with drawing. DD is trying to draw but we are not finding it that intuitive.

Our Mario kart instructions seem to be in every language. Except English Grin.

AnnMumsnet · 09/07/2011 11:06

i've no square brackets on my phone but (grin) .... think the dance game will follow and i will ask re the controllers. Have fun!

Am i on the doorstep on my own now? Sad

Triggles · 09/07/2011 11:33

AnnMumsnet · 09/07/2011 11:36
