Hi there,

We’re pleased to tell you that next week, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will be answering questions from Mumsnet users in a written Q+A.

If you have a question you'd like answering, you can post it below. Please stick to the usual guidelines - one question per user, keep it civil, and if one topic is dominating, please don't continue to post what's effectively the same question or point (we'll be deleting questions that are repeated multiple times). We'll make sure we cover the topics that we know are important to Mumsnet users. As it’s a written Q+A without a chance for follow ups, please do include as much detail as you’d like in your questions.

We'll be closing this thread at 1pm on Sunday, so do get your questions in before that - and watch this space to hear the PM’s responses!

Thanks,
MNHQ

This Prime Minister is an absolute disgrace. A real one would read this whole thread, but I would bet my house that this charlatan hasn't. He probably didn't read a single question and got a lackey to reply to the vetted questions. Who here would be surprised to find out this was the case? Not a single person.

He doesn't give a fuck.

Edited

The longer this premiership goes on the more dangerous for everyone.

Why should anybody have empathy when the people in power don't give a fuck? Anybody wonder why nobody seems to care anymore? I've noticed this has extended to healthcare professionals. Probably because they're overworked, but the shift is noticeable

Would you like me to record your defeat on my Sky TV?

😂

I could not believe the first “question” about how does poor rishi cope with his family/stress of being pm. What possible value is there in such a piece of flattery??
And zero on the topic of disabled people.
What a crock of shit.

Several posters including me asked about this government's behaviour towards disabled people. The questions were legitimate and well phrased, none in this vein were asked. Cowardice?

I was looking forward to his reply specially to this question and I'm disappointed it wasn't included.

His words in another answer about believing in hard work is so out of touch with reality, especially for any disabled person! Does he get that a disabled person want to work but can't?

I agree with you 👏

My question was put to him and frankly, his answer was just spouting the same old same old. Except that he did ask for the name of the school where I work so he could look into things. Easy to say when he knew full well that within a week he would be out of number 10, so there would not have been enough time for him to look at the state of school finances and do anything about it! Not that he'd want to do anything about it, because after all, I just work in a bog standard state primary school catering for children of all backgrounds including deprived and vulnerable, not the sort of children they would want to bother themselves about.

Why is this still running @JustineMumsnet ?
Totally irrelevant.
Sunak etc al are yesterday's news

This was a sponsered thread. Isn't that a bit embarrassing for MNHQ?

alldayeveryday247 · 07/07/2024 10:05

It's so disappointing this was a written Q&A rather than a filmed one. There is so much value in body language and in being pressed on a question.

I would have liked, for example, to see his facial expression when confronted with the fact local pools were closed due to austerity measures when he had one installed in his home. It seems he is so wealthy and out of touch that he couldn't even recognise the poor optics of this.

Is it true this was a sponsored thread like a PP just said?

What does sponsored thread mean? Thanks
