Next door's -thug- cat

[Grumpyoldpersonwithcats]

Has started coming in our house and stealing cat food.
Our cats dislike him. (understatement...)
Once he's in it's a problem removing him because he growls, hisses and then attacks us (launches at our legs etc).
He spends an inordinate amount of time in our garden or staring in through the French windows. Any suggestion how to gently discourage him? I have no intention of having outside doors shut for the whole summer.

Asbo looks like a Steiff fluffy toy! That's the best picture of him I have seen. He is adorable. I think he'd keep my neighbour's annoying and very stupid Jack Russell in line too...

Can't see this happening. TC just made another bid to get in and was chased out by Sybil yet again.

Went out to see if he'd gone and he attacked my foot.

TC is currently sleeping on the steps going up to the patio. Our boys have just been walking past him.

I can also report that following suggestions up-thread to stroke TC's belly - I gave it a go since he looked so relaxed - I will NOT try that again.

Sybil and TC had a minor run in again today. (Open door, Sybil wanders out, spots TC lurking, shed chased and hissed at him, then she ran away)

I asked Sybil earlier for her thoughts on an entente cordiale with TC - her response attached.

So as usual, the bloke cats are being useless and it takes the female cat to Sort Things Out. Typical

Bloke cats are shrugging their shoulders and getting on with it. Sybil is in full on Gandalf mode, "You shall not pass!".

She is a grey cat after all and standards must be upheld.

My profuse apologies - out all day so unable to update on TC's shenanigans.
To keep his fans happy - enclosed is a picture of him glaring at me from a strategic position on our compost bin a few days ago.
