Has started coming in our house and stealing cat food.
Our cats dislike him. (understatement...)
Once he's in it's a problem removing him because he growls, hisses and then attacks us (launches at our legs etc).
He spends an inordinate amount of time in our garden or staring in through the French windows. Any suggestion how to gently discourage him? I have no intention of having outside doors shut for the whole summer.
Enclosed a picture of him sitting on our outside table.

NDN has just sent me a text saying TC is 6 today - and he's found a photo of him as a kitten.

He looks so cute and fragile.

cakeandchampagne · 17/05/2019 19:46

Looks like as a tiny (beautiful!) kitten, he had chased the dog away from his own dish! Smile

outofnothing · 17/05/2019 20:19

Fabulous thread has had me in hysterics, thanks op

YetAnotherSpartacus · 18/05/2019 08:58

OH TC - what a gorgeous little kitty you were. His face hasn't changed at all. It still has that pleading look I wonder what he did with the dog.

Happy belated birthday TC!

Ilovetolurk · 18/05/2019 12:49

Dog probably took one look at the cute little Damian of cats and vacated the premises forthwith

Ilovetolurk · 18/05/2019 12:55

My DD houseshared with a friend who owned a young bengal

Cue lots of cute WhatsApp pics to start with

Then OMG it’s torn the shower curtain/broken the lamp etc

Then finally here’s a picture of my hand needing five stitches from too much mithering of the not so cute bengal

DD moved out soon afterwards I do wonder if there’s any house left now

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 18/05/2019 15:33

If they knew then what they know now there would've been a pastry lid on that bowl and hot oven for 25 minutes Grin

YetAnotherSpartacus · 19/05/2019 14:04

I'm not sure why cute kitten pic has not had more comment. [taps foot expectantly].

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 19/05/2019 16:26

At NDN's yesterday evening.
TC relaxing on the piano (looking down on the dogs) and behaving like an absolute gentleman - even licked my hand Shock.

Anyone might believe he wasn't a thug

Grin if he's 6yo you could potentially have another 15+ years of this Cat Thuggary to contend with .

Are you sure you don't just want to let him move in and be done ?

Minkies11 · 19/05/2019 19:32

Wow he is such a beautiful cat hurriedly strokes my two so they aren't jealous

Luciddreams · 19/05/2019 19:45

Oh wow he is a beauty, as are all the cats on this post. My NDN cat strolls in the back door/window and meows at the front door to be let out as she's too lazy to jump the garden wall Hmm

YetAnotherSpartacus · 20/05/2019 13:42

Ah. So he doesn't want so much to move in as to annex your house for his own empire...

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 20/05/2019 15:33

Having been strolling around our front and back doors this morning TC is now back in his own garden.
He seems to be enjoying the dog's attention.

And he's back in our garden - getting on well with Lenny.

It's meant to be 😻

YetAnotherSpartacus · 21/05/2019 11:41

I still think that at least one ancestor was a Scottish Wildcat!

Poor Sibyl. I can see her being overruled by the boyz who will eventually welcome another bro or cuz into their little gang.

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/05/2019 11:53

A lot of spotted bengals look like that, seen one, seen them all.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 21/05/2019 11:57

Is that Asbo?I think he looks more tiger than Scottish wildcat and adorable can I have him?

Girliefriendlikescake · 21/05/2019 12:09

This thread has made me laugh a lot! Amazing picture of TC as a kitten, so cute 😻

He definitely looks part tiger 🐯 to me...

Love your cats op so beautiful.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 21/05/2019 12:48

It is true that our black cats do seem to have become remarkably relaxed around TC. Basil certainly no longer seems to care, having walked out the front door this morning and just plonked himself down adjacent to TC.
I think that anyone looking at our house would probably assume TC was ours.
It really is only Sybil who now guards her territory.

Most of my boy cats are very laid back around other males. There's a little cat gang that hang out together in our cul de sac in the summer evenings.

My females have tended to guard their territory far more fiercely.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 21/05/2019 13:11

As much as I love TC my inner feminist draws me to team-Sibyl.

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/05/2019 13:12

Yes that’s asbo, he is available for rehoming several times a week.
