Has started coming in our house and stealing cat food.
Our cats dislike him. (understatement...)
Once he's in it's a problem removing him because he growls, hisses and then attacks us (launches at our legs etc).
He spends an inordinate amount of time in our garden or staring in through the French windows. Any suggestion how to gently discourage him? I have no intention of having outside doors shut for the whole summer.
Enclosed a picture of him sitting on our outside table.

Well it was fairly half-hearted biting and scratching - it didn't leave any marks Grin

He is just a tough boy trying to keep up his image - underneath he really is a pussy-cat.

Nonstopbuttmachine · 12/08/2019 14:41

OP I love how you are willing to be regularly savaged by TC just to keep his MN fans happy 😂

Mia184 · 12/08/2019 18:36

Cat bit and scratched me. Clearly TC.

But if you had invited him inside, he may just have let you give him a belly rub Grin

RonniePasas
You are a true connoisseur of catnip mice - Culpeper ones were brilliant.

Try this link.
These are the only catnip mice I've found that work as well as the Culpeper ones used to. (and they look and smell the same).

I wonder if TC likes catnip?

He looks un-neutered. If so his owners are part of the problem & aren't looking after him well ☹️. Have a word with them & make sure they know what a PITA their cat is being because they haven't neutered him.

Don't use water if he had Bengal in him. Our rescue has turned out to be half Bengal & she loves water & will see it as a game.

Hissing, loud spray cans, dilute citronella in a water pistol should hopefully see him off

RockinHippy · 12/08/2019 20:40

Oh & state & flare your nostrils when you hiss at him. They hate that

RockinHippy · 12/08/2019 20:46

Having RTFT now. I think it's your cats you should be telling off. I mean, such a big cuddly handsome guest. Where are their manners 😂

& Sybil is gorgeous 😍

Fluffycloudland77 · 12/08/2019 22:01

He’s neutered.

Ilovetolurk · 12/08/2019 22:15

Excellent recovery there from RockinHippy

Really, that's his ticklish spot and 'just asking for it'.

About the two red stripes on your arm????

Ilovetolurk · 13/08/2019 13:17

I’ve got one who enjoys a good savage if you want to pop round Grumpy

Gauntlet available

CassandraCross · 13/08/2019 13:21

Did/do you get the back feet treatment from TC Grumpy?

Nonstopbuttmachine · 13/08/2019 14:44

Grumpy I hope your tetanus shots are up to date Shock Grin

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 13/08/2019 16:03

Thanks all for your concern Grin.

The stripes on my arm were actually delivered by Basil about three months ago (I picked him up badly and his back paw strafed my arm).
Photo from the time enclosed - and yes it was a bit sore. Note that Basil having done this, immediately just curled up on my lap...

Collateral damage that is.

This is a mauling. Dh patted the duvet which he knows is dangerous. I did rescue him eventually because I’m nice like that.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 13/08/2019 16:57

Fluffy - yes that's clearly a mauling Grin.

TC has been happily relaxing on our patio all afternoon - I do wonder when he goes home.

Surely he is home?

Fluffycloudland77 · 13/08/2019 17:54

I didn’t like to point that out. If you fed him he’d never leave.

Nonstopbuttmachine · 13/08/2019 17:58

Is he neutered? Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 13/08/2019 18:14

😹

It’d be a brave person who checked.

CassandraCross · 13/08/2019 18:19

Love the way the back paws are laconically curled over! He looks sooo relaxed and at homeGrin.
