Has started coming in our house and stealing cat food.
Our cats dislike him. (understatement...)
Once he's in it's a problem removing him because he growls, hisses and then attacks us (launches at our legs etc).
He spends an inordinate amount of time in our garden or staring in through the French windows. Any suggestion how to gently discourage him? I have no intention of having outside doors shut for the whole summer.
Enclosed a picture of him sitting on our outside table.

Ah - the dressing gown pocket incident predates Lenny by a long time (Monty was the chief suspect).
But I wouldn't put anything past TC...

Far too hot today for any shenanigans TC is relaxing in the shade under our car and was quite happy for me to say hello and stroke his head.

I wonder if he's desperate to live with you because it's not allowed. The food tastes nicer because it's not his.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 05/07/2019 18:46

The attached photo has nothing to do with TC - I'm just wondering if Sybil is practising moves to use on him Grin.

Ahh Sybil looks like a tiny fur coated dragon Grin

My two cats are planning to have their first ever trip into the garden tomorrow .
NDN cat is a large ginger/white who was taunting them yesterday sauntering round their garden.

My cats had their little faces smooshed up against the french door , willing him to feel the weight of their stares and the depths of their disgust .

We'll hover round the garden on their first few voyages . (And it will be bloody lovely to open a window or two!)

Once they're happy we'll set up the catflap microchip reader . (So that Ginger next door doesn't pile in)

Nonstopbuttmachine · 05/07/2019 21:03

Sybil deserves a medal in all of this. She is the only one defending her territory whilst her brothers wimp out.

She's like the Beyonce/Helen Mirren of cats Grin

TheLongRider · 05/07/2019 22:55

Never feck with a female and her territory!

In my experience, the females are hardest to win over. The boys will bicker and squabble but eventually settle down to ignoring/tolerating each other. Any of my girl cats have been very loathe to share territory. Except if they took a fancy to the new boy, then they'd bat their lashes at him and chirrup at him. Otherwise, once an enemy always the enemy

Out and about today so left some munchies and water outside for our cats.
I'd swear he appeared in under 10 seconds...

He knows you well!☺️

Ribrabrob · 11/07/2019 15:28

Any updates? Smile

Scorpiovenus · 11/07/2019 16:01

Kick it up the arse lol

Nonstopbuttmachine · 11/07/2019 16:12

Oh I've been waiting for a TC update Sad

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 11/07/2019 18:40

For those of you requesting updates. DW reports that yesterday the ubiquitous TC spent much of the time stretching up to peer in through the living room window.
He's currently relaxing on the patio table (having only half heartedly acknowledged his owner who was also here). He has even consented to frequent head strokes - he's clearly very tired.

It's such a hard life being TC.

Nonstopbuttmachine · 11/07/2019 19:17

He's just magnificent. I'm a sucker for little stripey boys but mine's a tiny wuss compared to TC.

Ribrabrob · 12/07/2019 17:38

It's tiring being that gorgeous :)

Thanks for the update!

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 14/07/2019 20:05

TC has found a new spot from which to observe us. He's next to our bin on a patch of gravel, clearly realises he's very well camouflaged.

Weezol · 15/07/2019 15:46

Don't the neighbours miss him?

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 15/07/2019 17:50

Weezol
NDN has commented that TC only comes in to eat and goes straight out again - and is generally out all night (so are ours at present). At least they know where he is Grin

Today he's on the patio eyeing up the open French doors which are being guarded by Karl.
Just after this photo he sidled past Karl on the door side actually coming just inside the house to walk past - he really does think he lives here.

Grumpy you are still of the opinion that he thinks your house is also part of his domain, you need to face it he doesn't think he knows!

Resistance is futile.

Nonstopbuttmachine · 15/07/2019 18:52

I agree with Cassandra sorry. Also OP, have you seen the film 'The Others'? Shock

DobbyTheHouseElk · 15/07/2019 19:27

He is so sweet. I’m loving this thread.

Weezol · 15/07/2019 20:02

Just accept it - he lives at your house and eats out.
