Next door's -thug- cat

Has started coming in our house and stealing cat food.
Our cats dislike him. (understatement...)
Once he's in it's a problem removing him because he growls, hisses and then attacks us (launches at our legs etc).
He spends an inordinate amount of time in our garden or staring in through the French windows. Any suggestion how to gently discourage him? I have no intention of having outside doors shut for the whole summer.
Enclosed a picture of him sitting on our outside table.

I think it would have to be accompanied by 'The cat came back (the very next day)'

2 minutes after the above pictures Sybil appeared so TC jumped onto the table.
Can't help feeling TC is looking a bit depressed at having to move.

CassandraCross · 28/06/2019 21:06

He definitely looks sorry for himself!

I feel sorry for him! Grin

sweetkitty · 28/06/2019 22:18

Oh he’s feeling sorry for himself tonight.

The going on in our house today centred around a huge blue bottle which had flown in the window, soppy boy cat was chasing and chirping at it so excitedly. He finally got it and it was in and out of his mouth about 8 times! Girl cat came to see what the fuss was about and ate it. Boy cat was still looking it for another 10 minutes.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 29/06/2019 08:39

It’s the way his poor little chin is all crumpled against the table ...

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 29/06/2019 11:27

TC stormed the house this morning. Shock
French Doors were open being guarded by Sybil. TC suddenly legged it through the doors, ran through the house and got to the cat food. I followed to be greeted by hissing and growling. DW then tried to ease TC out with a broom - which TC attacked, also swiping DW's leg.
Sybil then appeared and chased TC out accompanied by a loud weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth.
So much for the poor little pussy cat with sad pleading eyes. He's a psycho I tell you!

CassandraCross · 29/06/2019 12:32

No, no, he is not a psycho he's just misunderstoodGrin.

Bookworm4 · 29/06/2019 12:52

Poor wee soul, who would be happy getting chased by a broom 😭

Nonstopbuttmachine · 29/06/2019 14:20

Poor malnourished, crumple-chinned TC 😿

Mia184 · 29/06/2019 14:45

I am sure he would share his food with Sybil. Poor TC

NumptyMum · 30/06/2019 01:28

Loving these photos! Reminds me, some years ago a bengal cat was the only cat who ever turned around and SPRAYED our cat. Never seen a cat pee on another, ever! Poor old Charlie had to get a thorough washing...

Moving to where we live now, our local TC is next door's tabby. Last summer, he liked to beat up the window behind which our new kitten sat, watching him. However the kitten is a Maine Coon, and is now half-a-cat larger than TC. He actually hero-worships him, much to TCs disgust, and follows him round all day, trying to get a rise out of him – ha! TC is definitely diminished. Answer: get a fifth cat, but make it a Maine Coon.

PattedPlont · 30/06/2019 14:13

Thug Cat is off his game!

Just so I could share, I get this in my face regularly. His name is Godzilla.

Op he looks like a lovely boy. Embrace him, he wants to be your friend !

CassandraCross · 30/06/2019 15:21

I think TC is just varying his tactics PattedPlont, it all part of 'The TC War of Attrition Master Plan for Domination of Neighbours', it is but a mere stepping stone on the path to total overlordship of the world!

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 02/07/2019 18:46

All is back to normal with TC (and he's no longer looking depressed Smile) Cat chess at the front of the house this morning - and this afternoon TC and Lenny were very half heartedly slapping each other in the undergrowth. TC is now in his preferred spot outside the French doors.

Has he had access to your house, or could he have subverted Lenny? Check your dressing gown pockets...
