Next door's -thug- cat

Has started coming in our house and stealing cat food.
Our cats dislike him. (understatement...)
Once he's in it's a problem removing him because he growls, hisses and then attacks us (launches at our legs etc).
He spends an inordinate amount of time in our garden or staring in through the French windows. Any suggestion how to gently discourage him? I have no intention of having outside doors shut for the whole summer.
Enclosed a picture of him sitting on our outside table.

Love this thread - thank you so much for keeping us updated on TC's antics!

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 03/06/2019 13:19

After the break-in at the weekend normal service has been resumed this morning.
Lull us into a sense of false security by looking cute and friendly, then try to break through the bottom of the doors.

Like I said - just a misunderstood boy who needs a tummy rub!

Supersimpkin · 03/06/2019 14:09

A touching portrait 'Innocence at play in springtime'.

He is the most beautiful boy.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 03/06/2019 14:16

Needs snuggles.

HelmutFrontbut · 03/06/2019 15:50

I LOVE the 'look how cute I am' poses and stretches. I once witnessed my boycat giving the neighbour's young cat a tutorial in such poses ShockGrin

Minkies11 · 03/06/2019 17:36

His body language is relaxed, happy and open. Don't know if he is just lulling you in though Grin

Grinchly · 03/06/2019 17:41

Thank you for this thread OP. It's fab. My fave pic so far is the close up 'baby tiger' peering through window one early on.Grin

Your cats are all stunning.

Moominfan · 03/06/2019 20:41

Thank you for the daily update! Has he broke in yet?

MummyParanoia101 · 03/06/2019 20:45

@Cloudland Asbo! GrinGrinGrin

Basil went out late yesterday evening. I always give him a call before I go to bed to see if he wants to come in, but he usually decides to be a dirty stop out.
So 11.30 last night - open front door, call Basil, and TC comes running up to me.

He really seems to think he lives here...

He really does look like a thug cat 🤣

Mia184 · 04/06/2019 08:56

So did you let TC in?

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 04/06/2019 09:02

So did you let TC in?

NO.

I've managed to get a simulated action shot of TC by speedily moving my cursor back and forth over the second and third photo on your post at 13:19 yesterday OP.

It's adding to the frisson of fear surrounding your patio....

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 04/06/2019 10:42

A baffled Lenny wondering what on earth TC is up to.

Curse my lack of opposable thumbs! (Says TC).

Was Lenny angry or just confused?

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 04/06/2019 11:01

Definitely not angry, more bemused I think - the kittens are pretty relaxed around TC outside (even nose to nose sometimes).

Shame that TC is not quite bright enough to realise that his way through your door is not via rudimentary cat burglar skills but via Sybil's heart :)

MoreOfADogPerson · 05/06/2019 06:28

TC wooing Sybil

Is he my ex husband?

HelmutFrontbut · 05/06/2019 12:33

I 💙 TC, he is my favourite internet cat. Do your neighbours know he's a MN celebrity?

Slightly worrying though how he seems to be spending more time on his hind legs... 😳🙀

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 05/06/2019 18:30

Bit of a kerfuffle outside. Sybil (sitting on the barbeque) very strongly objected to TC trying to join her Grin.
TC then legged it down the steps having been seen off by Sybil.
At the bottom of the steps he stopped, turned round - still observed by Sybil and does this...
