It was DD1s favourite programme when she was tiny and it reminds me of her babyhood. I struggled so much after she was born but she made me so happy at the same time.

Ladies I'm loving this thread - I have kept my Alexa busy listening to a lot of these songs that I hadn't heard of before and some I had. My music library is now very full with some beautiful emotional songs.

Glasvegas - Geraldine. Huge sobbing tears the first time I heard this and it catches me every time.

Snow Patrol - Set the Fire to the Third Bar

Caledonia - it reminds me of when I was feeling homesick. I sang it to DD when she was tiny and still do at night time.

Amy MacDonald - the road to home. Also listened to this when I was feeling homesick.

The Beatles - Real Love and Golden Slumbers. Sang to DS when he was just a bump. I can't quite get through the songs without a lump in my throat. I found pregnancy difficult towards my due dates both times and singing these sings reminds me if it.

There are loads more. These are just off the top if my head. I find if I connect with a song it really digs in deep.

When I was pregnant with DS1 and the lead singer’s wife was also pregnant with his first. Every time I heard it it takes me back to the waiting and the love and the anticipation and then that first few hours with your newborn.

Loads, two that spring immediately to mind are part of Tori Amos' Winter 'put my hand in my father's glove' because it reminds me of my GF (who was to all extents and purposes my 'dad') and all of Birdy's version of People Help the People just because it's utterly beautiful.

The last two or so minutes of Citizen Erased by Muse. Gets me every time, Matt Bellamy's voice...

Coldplay Everglow came out around the time my mum was dying:
