I don't know if this is the right thing to do, and I'm so sorry if not.

catthiefkeith passed away today.

I know there are mumsnetters who know her know how amazing she is, and I just wanted to raise a glass to her memory on here, where she brought a smile to so many faces with her stories of her mad life.

Rest in peace lovely lady.

Ffs. This is a bazillion kinds of fucked. I generally lurk on here but CTK was someone I really admired from afar. I've myself (barely) survived a double whammy of meningitis and encephalitis - it's such a massive fucker of a thing (not sorry for the swears....) 😢

So very sad to hear this news, CTK was a name a frequently recognised. Her ability to tell a tale in an entertaining way was unparalleled on mumsnet.

Oh this is so sad.
Like another poster said upthread, I actually thought this was a thread posted by CTK about her suffering a bereavement herself. Clicked on it and read the first post and my heart sank.
She was such a fun poster. I loved reading her threads. Her life was just non stop crazy. She had such a way with words, so engaging and eloquent the way she wrote about things. She had a wonderful caring side too. I too remember when she rushed to MrsKoala's bedside with the chocs and magazines a few years ago. Such a lovely, lovely lady. If she could help, she would.
And if I'm feeling like this - someone who has never met her and just 'knows' her through a forum - I cant even begin to imagine what her poor, poor family must be going through right now.
What a terrible loss.

Her very last post talked about having an ear infection. How would she know it was meningitis. How desperately sad.

I was not familiar with her posts or background but to see this thread and the link to the justgiving page with the pic of her and her beautiful daughter is just heartbreaking. I cannot comprehend the sense of loss her family must feel. She sounds like an amazing person. Life can be so cruel. So so sorry to read this.
