Is Voldemort a virgin?

And any other Harry Potter mysteries!

Can anyone answer mine?
Is Voldemort a virgin?
What happened to Rodolphus Lestrange?
Why do some spells take weeks and hours of homework to learn, yet Harry can imperious people by just saying it?

Anyone else? I've got more, can't think just now. Just finished re-reading!

Sorry, should have added - Baths seem to only be mentioned when people are really mucky. Ginny and Harry having baths the once are the only references to them that I can remember.

Mind you, sorry if I'm completely wrong. It has been a few years since I last read the books Blush

The prefects' bathroom must be busy - at least 16 prefects, 4 house captains, 4 quidditch captains and head boy and girl.

Cedric must have a bath to open the golden egg.

Fiction in general doesn't mention loos and bathrooms though.

At the Chalet School they apparently only have a bath ("warm if you must, but not hot") on the first day of term to educate the new girl, and never again.

indeed, we never once hear of Hobbits having a wee or poo or ever washing in LOTR!

it's bit like, we never even knew there was Gobstones club until Umbridge cancelled all clubs in OoTP. Harry is a boring old fart and only goes to lessons and Quidditch it seems!

I think harry is quite self absorbed, but I can't entirely blame him. I want to know how the teachers timetables work out.

Gobstones were in the early ps1 and gamboy games, they were little side challenges a bit like marbles.

The siblings came home for the holidays, surely?

As for what they do with their spare time? What do you think muggles did when there was no electricity/TV/Internet? Grin

They likely play with toys, go on brooms, ride bikes, go out side and run around, play quidditch, gobstones. Do puzzles. Listen to the radio. read. sewing. making forts. drawing, colouring. dress up. fly kites. modelling. chatting. play musical instruments. walking pets. gardening, baking, crafting,. play cards. play chess, wirting letters.

ALL SORTS!

Maybe, but I wouldn't think it would be isolating, what with port keys, apparition and the floor network. There could well be "home ed" groups for the whole country, because travelling distances is not a big issue really :)

in the Hall of Prophecy, only those the prophecy is about can get it from the shelf. The whole book is kind of centred around this idea.
HOWEVER when they are all fighting, they manage to knock loooaaads of prophecies off the shelves and hear them.

No, only those who the prophesy is about can remove them from the shelf without breaking them. So Voldemort could have got it for himself but he preferred not to show his hand by going into the ministry of magic himself (until that went wrong of course!). He didnt trust his death eaters to remove it for him and relay the message/didnt want them to hear it.

I always assumed the unspoken thing that happened in the cave with Tom Riddle and the children from the muggle orphanage was a sexual assault. I thought that was heavily implied. So I reckon Voldemort would use this as a way of gaining power over people.

I wondered that elspeth but I can't see them putting that in a children's book, therefore I thought it was more bullying/scaring tactics but on quite a severe scale, quite possibly some torture with threats involved.

Isn't it widely thought that the centaurs rape Umbridge? What do they do when they carry her off? It says she was very subdued when she returned.

I reckon Ginny and Luna played together in term time before they started Hogwarts.

I find the lack of travelling mentioned above fascinating - imagine being able to nip into your friends and family with zero travel time. No commuting to work, or to pick up kids.

Fancy some sea air? Apparate to Cornwall for the afternoon.

Wizards must have been low housing costs, given that location is largely unimportant...

mermaid, is the centaur thing correct then? I only read it online and thought surely not. As my name suggests, I don't get things that are hinted at Grin, unless it's spelled out quite clearly I'm never sure. Although yes, the goat thing was heavily hinted, I think the word 'improper' was used. I did assume Tom Riddle tortured muggle children rather than abuse them. That's quite dark!

We need JK to clarify. Grin I'd say we should tweet her but it may not be appropriate and she may not answer.

Then why does Hermione know Luna to introduce to Harry and Ron, and Ron appears to be oblivious?
