Everybody thinks it's from It's A Wonderful Life, the embrace you can see at 3:21 in this clip:

But it really really isn't.

She looks far too happy for a start, Donna Reed is overcome by a mixture of anger, relief and the raging horn at that point surely.

I don't think it's Casablanca because the man isn't wearing a coat.

It's not Casablanca either- that was Ingrid Bergman, and I know I'd recognise her.

I can't say I recognise the actress, but mini on another thread suggested Barbara Stanwyk, and she does look pretty similar. Hmm.

Looks like Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman kissing on the balcony to me.

It's not that I don't think - I'd have to see proper screen shots but the version of IAWL he's got a child hanging off him in shot. They could have cropped the shot for be as though. Pretty sure you're meant to think it's that film

It doesn't look like Loretta Young so I don't think it is the Bishop's wife.

It isn't Bergman though, and the man's neck isn't thickset enough to be Cary Grant.

Maybe not then. The plot thickens!
