Real post I've seen this week.

"Got some cheap stuff for sale if you want anything"

Cue 20 posts along the lines of;

"Have you got a patio heater hun?"

"No sorry"

Have you got a wheelbarrow?

No, haven't got a wheelbarrow.
Xx

3 days later the thread is still going strong. 20 people have been disappointed that the seller doesn't have what they want and the seller has made no effort to make any suggestion what she does have.

Wow. You don't turn down things if you have nothing and are desperate!

There was a woman in my local page wanting sofa ASAP, must be free or very cheap oh and cream leather. Very particular.

IgnoreMeEveryOtherFuckerDoes · 04/11/2014 19:08

We had one coconut it started WW3 she wanted a double bed as her and DD was sleeping on floor and her back was bad, so many people offered her single beds even new but she wanted none of it, it had to be a double.

randycheeseburger · 04/11/2014 19:46

Whilst the ingratitude of it all does annoy me it's also good to hear about the altruistic people on these groups who are willing to give what they can to help another out.

Gatekeeper · 04/11/2014 20:04

are those loom bands supposed to be something???

ClawHandsIfYouBelieveInFreaks · 04/11/2014 20:29

Someone has posted a pic of one flip flop on our local page. It says "one right footed flip flop, only the left one missing. Very fast." Grin People are commenting with things like "Can you deliver?" and "Can I see a pic of the sole pls" and "Can I come and view?"

alltoomuchrightnow · 04/11/2014 20:55

Honestly? Who actually thinks this is a great value gift?

Bluebird13 · 04/11/2014 23:34

A bargain at £2. Grubby feet at no extra cost.

Stupid Facebook selling.
LadyBaelish · 05/11/2014 00:12

Just looked on my local page for the first time. Someone is selling a printer 'have no ink but comes with paper' for £40. Someone else has commented 'dont need paper so take that out and call it £25?'

There's also an 'ammost new' laptop for £250 which is definitely not anywhere near new and the screen looks like it's been sneezed on quite a bit

alltoomuchrightnow · 05/11/2014 00:26

loads of horrible fake 'Tiffany' starting at a tenner Hmm

Stupid Facebook selling.
alltoomuchrightnow · 05/11/2014 00:27

This seller always really annoys me. Always tries to sell lots of very used shoes, usually pumps...all with stains and toe marks... between £5 and £10, even for dirty Primarks... grrr

Stupid Facebook selling.
alltoomuchrightnow · 05/11/2014 00:28

I'm surprised at the amount of fake perfumes, jewellery etc. You wouldnt be able to sell it in a real store. How do they get away with it? I guess no one has time to monitor the FB selling pages.

alltoomuchrightnow · 05/11/2014 00:32

This one makes my teeth itch every time... not because of the product, but the grammar, yes your grammar, hun.....

Stupid Facebook selling.
IsChippyMintonExDirectory · 05/11/2014 00:36

My local Facebook page had a woman selling -

"bags of girls clothes age 2 and up" with a picture of the bag. With the clothes in it. Clothes not laid out or described, just a black bin bag with a few bits of pink fabric poking out.

Same woman also selling a child's blackboard. Description - "Black bord, no chalk and needs a cleen. Bought for £30 wont £25". When she says it needs cleaned she means the chalk she can't be arsed washing off the board herself.

Reader, this woman is my sister. Blush

alltoomuchrightnow · 05/11/2014 00:44

£15 - these 'hampers' for men! (I don't see a hamper! Or anything worth £15!)

Stupid Facebook selling.
PresidentTwonk · 05/11/2014 01:30

It's a 'hamper', it's got hardly anything in it AND it's got glittery shit on it! After many 'hm hun?' Messages I've also found out it's a BARGAIN at just '£12 hun'. Get your orders in! Where else can you get a bottle of £4 wine and a quids worth of chocolate for less than £12.......erm.....

Stupid Facebook selling.
