The Weather on TV will be a LOT shorter.

We will only have to wait 5 minutes for the weather girl to get round to us, instead of the usual 15 minutes, while they go all round the houses Scotland etc. Grin

This Channel Islands/Isle of Man not being in the UK thing is something I need to go and google.

ErrolTheDragon · 18/09/2014 21:54

Thats why they can be tax havens. They're not in the EU either.

HesterShaw · 18/09/2014 21:55

Ha. I've just found out Crown Dependencies are NOT part of the Commonwealth. In that case why are they in the Commonwealth Games? And why does Cav get to race for Team GB?

Anyway, I digress.

Polls are closed. The deed is done.

I holidayed in Cornwall for my entire childhood and yet this thread is the first tin I've seen the flag!

onelastfling · 18/09/2014 22:05

If this is like a divorce does that mean Scotland gets Wales every other weekend and half the holidays?

Brilliant, we get the week-day drudgery and they get all the fun times! Wink

Ah well, Cornish regionalism has come to the fore more recently I think. There's some there who might want at least a bit of devolution.

OwlCapone · 18/09/2014 22:06

Surely Wales is old enough not to have to adhere to a strict access rota?

Wickeddevil · 18/09/2014 22:29

Loving this thread Grin

TSSDNCOP · 18/09/2014 22:34

Scotland will be Disney dad to Wales Angry

HesterShaw · 18/09/2014 22:37

England will have to deal with Wales's day to day tantrums and find its pencil case and school shoes.

HesterShaw · 18/09/2014 22:40

I like porridge oats. They can stay.

Night all. Hopefully we'll still be a nation tomorrow.

TSSDNCOP · 18/09/2014 22:41

How will Norway cope with Wales and how will Wales react to Norway.

That's what I need to know.

onelastfling · 18/09/2014 22:43

Oh, the Beeb ... will it still be the BBC? If it can still be received north of the border will the Scots still have to pay the licence fee?

TSSDNCOP · 18/09/2014 22:52

Let's face it, and I know places like Pret try to sex it up, Porridge is the culinary equivalent of the entire nation of Scotland lining up against hadrians wall, lifting their kilts and farting in our direction.

To sum up: it's minging.

Ididntseeitsoitdidnthappen · 18/09/2014 22:58

I'm ready with a welcoming bowl of porridge and a wee dram for any homeless haggi

Groovee · 18/09/2014 22:58

I'm Scottish, dh and I have been wetting ourselves at some of these

onelastfling · 18/09/2014 22:59

Poridge = Healthy Wallpaper Paste.
Made with fullcream milk, butter and sugar, it can taste ok - but, then you might as well have a deep fried mars bar for breakfast!

add shed loads of golden syrup and it's fine. Or use the oats to make flapjacks which are better.
