I have loved reading these! Takes me right back to the good old days :)

I also remember that it was fashionable to peroxide bleach your hair so girls would be brunette one day then turn up at school with yellowey-White hair the next and this suddenly made them 'cool'

Fortunately I was never cool enough to do this! But oh how I dreamed of having permed, bleached hair I could wear in a pony right on the top of my head with two curly front bits hanging down.
