My Chipie trainers! They were silver and I begged my mum for them!

Best worn with a white short wraparound skirt and miss selfridge navy blue burnout heart tshirt!

Kangol hat worn back to front.

Trouble tv on telewest cable.

Xs by Paco rabanne with a free handbag I'd take clubbing!

Those solid circle metal necklaces.

Big plastic knuckle duster rings

Blue and turquoise sketchers sandals from Shelley's

StairsInTheNight · 08/02/2014 03:14

I still have my buffalo platform trainers all 3 pairs Grin

Also still got my 90s clubbing gear, mainly catsuits with zips, velvet hotpants and mini dresses, all worn with thick black tights and black trainers!

Happy hardcore! Smiley faces, white gloves and whistles.

Dresses with t shirts under, combats, spiral perms, velvet chokers.

Pirate radio, house parties, big shout going out!

Kiss fm being new and edgy!

BabCNesbitt · 08/02/2014 03:49

God, this shows what a sad git I was, but one of my main 90s memories is of watching Changing Rooms and being desperate to have my own place so I too could have orange walls and lime green crockery Grin

dunsborough · 08/02/2014 04:18

Shannen Doherty. My friend and I would phone each other when 90210 finished and practice talking like Brenda to each other.

We even started buying Max Factor make up when she started going out with the MF guy

ipswichwitch · 08/02/2014 04:42

I was 13 in 1990 and I remember saving my pocket money up to buy a crappy 2nd hand b&w tv so I could stay up late and watch The Word, Eurotrash and Cell Block H, then the late night horror film on channel 4 every Friday night! I also used to tape songs off the radio and mum still remembers the wail of anguish every time the presenter started talking before the song finished Grin

Loved Heartbreak High and Fresh Prince. I'd spend all my money in those second hand bookshop type places that also sold candles, joss sticks, clothes such as velvet jackets and long black skirts and army surplus bags.

I had a blast at uni - the music was awesome - The Charlatans, Oasis, Shed 7, Green Day, Nirvana, Garbage and Ocean Colour Scene .

Getting all nostalgic now!

Weelady77 · 08/02/2014 09:45

Kato I had chippie trainers too they were navy and white and the white part glowed up in the dark! They were fabby for raves but they stunk to high heaven cause I didn't wear socks in those days lol!

Thisvehicleisreversing · 08/02/2014 09:47

My late nineties clubbing attire consisted of Airwalk trainers when they were really expensive, really baggy cords 2 sizes too big so they hung off my hips showing my pants; short, tight Tshirt with a tamagotchi motif and the words 'play with me' on it, no bra so the world could see my nipples, arm bracelets, chunky beaded choker, 2 small pigtails at the front of my hair, a bindi, too much purple lipstick and eye shadow and a punked out Shaun the Sheep bag.

I looked amazing. Grin

MrsDeanAmbrose · 08/02/2014 09:52

A dolphin tattooed on your hip (wanted one but parents would never let me). Wonder how many people still have them and haven't covered them up with something else.

CuntyBunty · 08/02/2014 10:55

The Fall, The Pixies, The Cure, John Peel. Watching wren and Stimpy and Beavis and Butt Head with a spliff.

Neds Atomic Dustbin, Cud, Teenage Fanclub and Birdland. I loved the 90's although I was pushing it at bit; I was 18 in 1990. It was great to be an adult in the 90's after being a child in Liverpool in the 1980's.

ProfYaffle · 08/02/2014 11:24

We're the same age Cunty, I started Uni in 1990. loved having my 20's in the 90's. Clubbing in adidas samba and a 70's biker jacket while drinking Metz (beware the judderman when the moon is fat) and hair in bunches. Met dh in 1999 while jumping up and down to Song2. He only recently laid his James t shirt to rest.

Pretty much all of these :o Did you get the Delia's catalog in the UK? I coveted each and every page.

chebella · 15/02/2014 06:43

The carrier bags from River Island were extremely coveted - to be kept for taking PE kits in only!

Pidgy · 15/02/2014 06:54

chebella thought that was only our school!! You're not from the south coast?!

RubyGoat · 15/02/2014 08:02

Pidgy -apparently that was universal. Am from Yorkshire & it was essential here as well, had to bring PE kit in a bag from a good shop - New Look, Body Shop, Etam, Warehouse, River Island, Jane Norman. (in that order!)

Feel really nostalgic now. Remember reading the 'Point Horror' books, I had one with a monster with big scary eyes on front. made the 'eye' look out the crack of my bedroom door once & scared my mum half to death! GrinBlush

ManateeEquineOHara · 15/02/2014 15:00

Oh yeah River Island carriers were PE bags for the cool kids. I had mine in a bag from Oxfam :D

Heartbreak High. Bloody loved Rivers.
