Yep, BF chair is what I thought, nothing else I'll buy will now come close!

Grennie · 09/01/2014 11:46

I didn't even think about getting it through the door. Oh no, I may have wasted £1!! Grin

GideonKipper · 09/01/2014 11:51

Grin ain'tnobody some party bag that would be.

Well, all my dc are of school age and DH has had the snip, so my bf days are long behind me. My chair will definitely be used for constant reading, Internet surfing, wine consumption and observing my backside gradually widening until one day I can't get in or out of the damn thing.

There's a few for sale on Gumtree for £100. Supposedly one seller bought it as part of a suite but had no space for it. Yeah right. Did ye, Aye?!

GideonKipper · 09/01/2014 12:09

How have they got them already though? HMMMMM??? Grin

ziggiestardust · 09/01/2014 12:20

gideon same here. It does sort of look like a chair one would die in.

DontLookBehindYou · 09/01/2014 12:48

Gutted! Could have really done with a comfy chair to read in in my new attic room. Sad
I always miss out!

LittleMissGerardButlersMinion · 09/01/2014 13:09

Still awaiting the email to decline my recline!

No phone call arranging delivery either though! It said I should get a call within a couple of days, I doubt it!

It hasn't taken the money yet, but I think some people have had money taken? Is it binding once they have or not?

Mirage · 09/01/2014 13:09

I'm just watching the news.M&S have made a loss.Wonder why?

Slatecross · 09/01/2014 13:17

The gumtree and eBay people haven't got them but they're getting in early just in case M&S deliver on this, before everyone else gets in and kicks the arse out of the price. If you tried to buy the eBay and gumtree ones I'd bet my house that they can't deliver yet.

CloserLook · 09/01/2014 13:17

Would have expected an email cancelling by now. I wouldn't know what to say if they phoned to arrange delivery of 2 chairs for £1. Blush Grin

Has there been any comment from M&S on twitter or anything?

LittleMissGerardButlersMinion · 09/01/2014 13:24

I am amazed its not been in the media anywhere, just looked on twitter and can't see anything?

GinSoakedMisery · 09/01/2014 13:39

It probably wont get into th papers until they either start delivering or declining orders.

ziggiestardust · 09/01/2014 13:45

I thought that littlemiss

I think they'll decline all the orders on Feb 12th, the day before when everyone will have hopefully 'forgotten' about it.

CinnamonPorridge · 09/01/2014 13:57

I just called m&s customer service and they said a decision has not been made yet. They will contact all the buyers shortly. So there's hope Grin

LittleThorinOakenshield · 09/01/2014 14:00

We all need to get an X factor worthy sob story going.

My poor nan, she has been saving the coppers from her pension credit for a chair since 2009 and finally found the chair of her dreams. She had hopes of finally sitting in comfort, that tea chest plays murder with her poor legs.

Sad
ziggiestardust · 09/01/2014 14:03

little were her poor legs the result of years as a land girl during the war, where she single handedly fed Kent with her farming efforts?

Because if not, she can fuck right off.

LittleThorinOakenshield · 09/01/2014 14:08

They most certainly were.

Or will be now! Grin

NotQuiteWithItAtAll · 09/01/2014 14:13

I HAVE to know what you said to customer service Cinnamon!

HoneyDragon · 09/01/2014 14:17

If they care about Gavin they'll decline the recline.

Bless them, I honestly can't see how they can honour it, it would be lovely, but they'd lose so much. I think they are trying to decide whether to make a good will gesture in the decline email or not.

MarmaladeBatkins · 09/01/2014 14:17

I BET they are going to give some, say 50, customers the fifty pee chair, but not ALL.

I bet that is what they will do.

Well they'd better be ready for me to march on into their Food Hall and punch their cakes in if they do. Angry

Crimebusterofthesea · 09/01/2014 14:20

They haven't made a decision yet?! We might actually get our chairs?! I'm far too excited.

HavantGuard · 09/01/2014 14:20

You mardy citrus cake puncher you.

MarmaladeBatkins · 09/01/2014 14:21

I'll fahkin do ALL the cakes in, not just LDC.

elesbells · 09/01/2014 14:22

My sob story is true....my nan (90) came from Wales to spend xmas and new year - ended up in hospital with pneumonia. She's not going back now and she'll be moving into a warden controlled flat when she's fit enough. The fucking ugly chair will be a necessity will it not? You know, to help her relax and recuperate.

Practicing her sad face pulling for front page of the daily fail...
