Shouting at me in the supermarket

Sorry am on phone so apologies if this makes no sense but he was doing t-Rex in Asda so i slapped his arm (not hard obviously) and he got really cross and said he'd stand however he wants and stormed off. It was really embarrassing as loads of people were staring and he'd told me to remind him anyway! He's acting like nothing has happened now. Aibu to not just let it drop?

OP posts:

It depends on which supermarket the turnip hug occurs

confusedpixie · 22/06/2012 20:10

Just had to say the OP made me LOL. My DP is a T-Rex offender too, it's entertaining Grin

theonlynonblonde · 22/06/2012 20:36

i've had such a shit day, and this thread has made me actually cry with laughter. thank you OP, thank you.

CatholicDad · 22/06/2012 21:41

Oh, no!Page 17 of 17 and I still don't know what in the name of Stephen Fry "doing T-Rex" means. I see the reference to him holding his arms raised and close to his chest but I don't understand why OP seems to think this is common generally, or why she has a name for it, or why she thinks we would no what "doing T-Rex" means.

Perhaps I should ask Stephen Fry. I do know where he lives.

Then again, I have to say I suspect the OP is being just a little bit tongue-in-cheek...

ExitPursuedByABear · 22/06/2012 23:23

confusedpixie

There are two?

ReindeerBollocks · 22/06/2012 23:26

DH does super mash in supermarket aisles.

However turnip hugging is almost as wrong as courgette kisses.

SillyBeardyBatman · 22/06/2012 23:46

I T-Rex in the batcave where no one can see me...

Jux · 23/06/2012 01:25

OP, this is so easy to deal with. Give your dh a large bag of cement mix and insist he carries it with him at all times. He won't do T-Rex again, I assure you.

You'll have to cuddle the baskets yourself though.

Cynner · 23/06/2012 03:00

I was going to have sex but read this thread instead, best choice I ever made...

SillyBeardyBatman · 23/06/2012 06:25

T-Rexing: better than sex.

SillyBeardyBatman · 23/06/2012 07:29

Jesus loves T-Rex.

Dprince · 23/06/2012 19:06

We have made a game of this at work. Anyone who comes to my desk for help can only ask once they have stood like a t-rex. That's all the info they get. Some have even progressed to the mole and owl.
The MD even gave the t-rex a go. This thread has kept my team entertained for days. They even ask for updates.

Cynner · 23/06/2012 19:16

Jesus loves the T-Rex ..and damn it..rexing was all I could think about whilst pushing my trolley round the market..I even cast appraising eyes on other men to suss out their ability to Rex..

TheMonster · 23/06/2012 19:25

Why would it matter if he was standing like a t-rex?

Cynner · 23/06/2012 21:08

From what we gather..op's husband has several different characters he acts out in public..much to the chagrin of op..T-Rex apparently being the most offensive..now, it appears, op and dh have an agreement whereby she is must slap him silly when he goes into Rex, vole, or owl mode...seemingly on night in question, whilst dh was Rexing and snuggling the biscuits, op slugged him..too hard, I reckon..he got all up in his girl, and told her off ..RIGHT IN FROZEN FOODS!..she got her feeling hurt, and here we are!

NotGeoffVader · 24/06/2012 11:04

How do we move this to classics? I am practising my badger, fox and kestrel for future shopping trips.

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 24/06/2012 11:06

Kestrel, sitting atop the fruit & veg counter, occasionally swooping down and grabbing a particularly juicy cherry tomato in your claw. Yeeees.

FrankWippery · 24/06/2012 11:10

What the actual fuck.

That's all I can say.

Sparklingbrook · 24/06/2012 11:13

I have read up to page 3, then skipped to the back so to speak to see what's happened. Um, can someone just summarise? TIA

SillyBeardyBatman · 24/06/2012 11:20

Check cynner's last post ^^

Sparklingbrook · 24/06/2012 11:21

Oh thanks Silly and cynners 17 pages and we get to that. Grin

WhiteWidow · 24/06/2012 11:23

could anyone do a summery for a lazy reader

WhiteWidow · 24/06/2012 11:25

Sorry read cynners!

I don't get it at all

SillyBeardyBatman · 24/06/2012 11:28

I wouldn't worry.

Just remember to act like a T-Rex in Asda, but don't try to do a Spiderman if you've got the wrong face. It has to be a tony Maguire face.

xDivAx · 24/06/2012 11:28

I haven't read the whole thread, actually at this point I'm only on page two. But I am howling with laughter and especially PMSL at FunnysInLaJardin
