Mmm, it may be connected to the disappearance of 5 of my 6 flowery plates. I cannot imagine what No. 6 did to be excluded in the disappearance.

Tbh, I don't like them (present from exMil) but dd does for birthday teas and teddy bears teas. She didn't say anything but yesterday got out the Tea Party Bears and I fear there may have been some sniffiness on their part at being served tea in cups only as the saucers were forced to act as plates too. Still, she's a stalwart girl and improvised.

I'd like to think the plates have been dragooned into toast duty.

I reckon it would only take about 6 of them to lift your average toaster and carry it off.

In my old student digs we found a dead mouse in our toaster. Iirc we stuck a fork in it to get it out and then made some toast.

Have you tried calling it? Maybe the toaster is sulking at the end of the garden and just wants to be called back.

I will not sleep tonight if I don't know where Chaos' toaster went. (Neither will she I imagine)
