Aw Shabs, are you a Bob Dylan fan? I was raised on Dylan and I love his stuff. She does sing it better though. She reminds me of Duffy......don't know why. Gorgeous voice. Gorgeous eye make up in that vid. I would love to do my eyes like that but I somehow end up more 'auld miner' than smokey

frumpygrumpy · 24/09/2009 22:30

Confession time:

I have never made a LDC

I think it may be time.

That was code for someone lead me to the recipe...........

shabbapinkfrog · 24/09/2009 22:30

Naaaa not keen on Bob Dylan to be honest! I was a Tamla girl myself - love, love, love soul music.

frumpygrumpy · 24/09/2009 22:32

80s, this was one of my favourite songs in the 80s it was just sublime then and I still have a major soft spot for it

shabbapinkfrog · 24/09/2009 22:32

for Dizzy

This song is just fab - my Matts favourite film and favourite song....dont worry Dizzy it doesn't make me sad it makes me LOL - he would bop around the room to it....the 80's passed in a haze of pregnancy for me LOL!!!

I know it's a YouTube classic, but felt the need to put THIS on here tonight - makes me weep with laughter everytime I see it.

A great reminder of how blessed we are (or will be) to have multiples - not many singleton mums can have moments like these. And to remind us that none of us (so far) are as inflicted blessed as this happy momma!

frumpygrumpy · 24/09/2009 22:34

Oooh I love soul. Otis Redding was my personal favourite. Dylan's writing is amazing, its just that over the years, his voice has kind of swallowed a rock or 5

shabbapinkfrog · 24/09/2009 22:35

Estar that is just the best video - I have watched it loads of times and it never fails to make me smile - the mum looks knackered and radiant at the same time!

shabbapinkfrog · 24/09/2009 22:38

Otis Redding, drown in his chocolate voice

frumpygrumpy · 24/09/2009 22:38

oh estar, I never, ever tire of seeing that! They are so like her! Its just mini faces of her laughing. So, so cute.

frumpygrumpy · 24/09/2009 22:40

AARRRGH! One of my favourite Otis numbers I am singing, can you hear me? LOL!

shabbapinkfrog · 24/09/2009 22:44

Course I can hen xxx

dizzymare · 24/09/2009 22:47

estar you owe me one panty liner. I've literally just pissed myself watching the laughing babies

pixiblue · 24/09/2009 22:47

dizzy I used to have those sensations with my dts, worried freaked the crap out of me me too at first. I have to say my dt pg was very different to any of the others, mucho weird symptoms. I was also constantly feeling like they were trying to break free - ironically since they had to be induced I was a nervous wreck and constantly saying to dh I think they're trying to come out from very early on. Obviously you have to be far more careful that I, but trying to reassure you a little.

dizzymare · 24/09/2009 22:49

And it's the best laugh I've had all weekSo thanks!!!! Never seen that before.

shabbapinkfrog · 24/09/2009 22:49

You tube keeps chucking me off!!! I was singing along with the Drifters and next thing I knew - you tube closed down

shabbapinkfrog · 24/09/2009 22:51

frumpygrumpy · 24/09/2009 22:52

Shabs, I know you don't love him the way I do, but the lyrics in this are for you hen

Pixie the popping I'm thinking is hiccups, I can't think of any other reason for it. It's fairly localised as well, just on my right side. But the tugging feeling I got no freaking idea about. It's good to hear you've had some weirdy stuff as well.

pixiblue · 24/09/2009 22:56

estar I love that clip, even dh paused in his activities to smile watch it (although at first added "oh not that one again" )

shabbapinkfrog · 24/09/2009 22:57

Oohh Frumpster I like that song - thank you xx

shabbapinkfrog · 24/09/2009 23:00

Oooohhh

This is my favourite song from my all time favourites xx

shabbapinkfrog · 24/09/2009 23:03

I suspect after watching that video that Marti Pellow is smacked off his tits under the influence of illegal substances whilst singing!!! Call me a loose woman but I did like him in his 'fuzzy' period!!!

curiositykilled · 24/09/2009 23:04

Thanx everyone! Feeling a bit better. Doula came and massaged/talked everything better. Talked to DH too about some of the things.

DS and DD know XP is their bio dad, they call him 'dad' and DH 'Neil'. They think about having two dads but make the distinction in terms of DH is the 'dad' dad that 'keeps' (looks) after them and XP is their 'mate' dad who plays with them. Like Granny. XP has contact though very irregularly and on demand providing we don't have other plans.

Anyway, I have sorted in my head. Thinking about BPD, he's never going to be cured. From that perspective I feel it will be best to assert that we maintain the current arrangement. Nipped briefly onto mental health earlier to see and was scared by everyone saying not to let him around DCs at all. There's no need for that. I know who he is and what he can and can't be trusted with. This situation works for everyone and I think he's probably lucky I'm more understanding than some of the people who responded on mental health! lol

Have replied to your e-mail dizzy.
