I am having far too much fun.

I need to mop the floor and collect a frame for DP's birthday.

ChopsTheDuck · 24/09/2009 11:53

oh why oh why did I buy a dress without consulting you lot first?!

fg, have the helicopter on standby. Then I will allocate out my children to you all and dissapear on a honeymoon somewhere.

I have done NO revision this morning. It is not good.

curiositykilled · 24/09/2009 12:44

fg - if you keep going you're going to hit someone's real wedding dress at some point! lol

I got married in february. wedding ring to go with engagement ring similar to this wedding dress like this but with red instead of blue

Chops - your dress is beautiful, absolutely gorgeous! The ring too. All very classic and gorgeous.

Chops - long time no see! Beautiful dress...you will look like a Greek goddess in it!

So long since I got wed, no way can we link to my pride and prejudice style dress! (ps I dont have heaving bosoms)

curiositykilled · 24/09/2009 12:56

afternoon HM how's it going?

OP posts:
ChopsTheDuck · 24/09/2009 12:57

That dress is beautiful curiosity.

I wasn't orginally going to have a wedding dress as such at all, but everything slowly escalated bit by bit!

I'mn still not revising. I did thow send the dts out to the garden for some peace and quiet, but dt1 came charging back in screaming his head off because of a cat under the trampoline! He now hates cats apparently, won't go back out, and told dt2 he better get his crisps in before the cat eats them!

ChopsTheDuck · 24/09/2009 12:59

Hello, hm, how are you?

I don't have heaving bosoms neither I will be padding my bra out with silicon inserts!

HarrogateMum · 24/09/2009 13:10

afternoon Curiosity and Chops - I am ok but have churning guts due to too much curry last night!

curiositykilled · 24/09/2009 13:13

chops - Thanx! know what you mean about the escalating! What I wanted was to go to registry office with DCs and DH. My mum got involved and got upset and DH wanted his mum and dad to come and it escalated slightly to a £6000 wedding! We did have it all paid off by May though

Lol at the cat!

HM - bleurgh! Was it good curry? I feel like a washing machine today and like my hips are going to fall apart. Probably from taking DS to the park yesterday.

ChopsTheDuck · 24/09/2009 13:19

£6k eek! sounds a bit like our situation, we wanted to go to registry office jsut with us and the kids, but had the problems of finding witnesses.

I might be joining you with the churning stomach, HM, we have an influx of cupcakes. 14 GINORMOUS cupcakes still sitting in the kitchen, and nobody to eat them cept little old me. Won't fit in the dress at this rate!

curiositykilled · 24/09/2009 13:38

chops - was my mum and dad's fault. They kicked up a big stink saying they wanted us to have a proper wedding because they were worried that people would think they were not providing properly for their first born. They wanted to give us £2k for a wedding they wanted to cost about £15k and we could only have the money if we spent it on what they thought was a good idea!

I was like why can't we have no money and do it how we want and intended all along? We didn't want never wanted money but apparently people would think badly of my mum and dad for not paying for it.

In the end we took the middle way, took no money from them, booked a posh venue for the reception at a significant discount, had proper dresses and a small registry office ceremony but it still cost £6k and my mum still had a hysterical fuss at me on the day and stormed off! I wish we'd done things more how we wanted cos I did a lot of things for her and my dad and she didn't appreciate it at all and was still upset!

pixiblue · 24/09/2009 14:40

Chops that dress is sooooooo gorgeous. Makes me want to marry dh all over again. Keep trying to plan a handfasting so I can get to play dress up again but life keeps getting in the way.

One of my good friends is getting married next year so I get to be bridesmaid in the morning and then I'm supposed to be handfasting them in the afternoon before the medieval banquet so will have to be content with that for now. Is it too much to have three outfits for the day if you're not the bride d'y think?

pixiblue · 24/09/2009 14:42

Oh forgot to add I'm starting a lvl 2 Psychology course next Saturday and then adding child psych early next year if I think I can manage both together.

pixiblue · 24/09/2009 14:46
