Next August, I promise you!!

Just found this on youtube. This event used to be held every week on the beach in Faliraki - but now the young kids have moved on to - wherever!! Every year we watch the lights on the beach from the hotel and they are spectacular. I may be 53 in December but next August I am going to the beach party - it looks brilliant with less people there. The funniest thing is that we know loads of the staff at the beach party and the older Greek guy who runs the event.......wait till I win the lotto - you wont see me for piggin' dust!!

frumpygrumpy · 21/09/2009 23:01

Momma, yeah I did, thank you (gorgeous!!!), and I replied.........what is it with our email connection? Mine to you never seems to work. All I did was reply to yours. Its madly WEIRD!!!!

Someone please tell me the etiquette of stumbling over someone with a remarkably similar posting name? I came upon 'lumpyandfrumpy'. Not good.

Fuckin hell. Hate it.

I need more babies.

curiositykilled · 21/09/2009 23:02

Why shouldn't you go?! Lol my ma would, she's 55 and supposedly a respectable doctor with an MBE! LOL. Looks amazingly hedonistic and also my idea of absolute hell but that's because I've had a wild phase and find it hard to understand a life with no horribly shouty children the morning after the night before!

I shall get DH to fix you a lottery win shall I?

The beach party events used to be about 10 times that size in the 'old' 'really tacky Fali days.' It tickles me when I see about a dozen Greek barmen, bouncers and general staff that I know on the video!!!! I bet our Tom would love to go there as well....he will have turned 13 when we go next August Dont think I should take a handbag and dance around it do you???

shabbapinkfrog · 21/09/2009 23:08

DH and lottery win - YES PLEASE!! How amazing to be able to treat my beloved family first and then go and buy the house I have seen and WANT in Fali!!! People pull their noses up about Faliraki cause it had an awful reputation...the people are amazing, so hospitable and friendly..and its not just cause they want your money because, as a rule, we are on a very tight budget when we go there!!

curiositykilled · 21/09/2009 23:08

Yes, definitely a handbag to dance around and definitely bring Tom. If you already know everyone you'll have a fantastic time.

He's a good lad. This year we got our luggage went to the rep and she said 'your coach will be here in about 30 minutes!!! WTF' Tom said 'Not waiting for it we will go and get a taxi but make sure you pick us up on the way home cause my Mum and Dad will be skint by then '

Out through the doors into the blistering heat he marched with his case and me and DH trotting behind. One of the taxi drivers spotted him....'Thhhhomas (thats how they say it) Thhhomas you return to Rhodos - how are you my friend!!' Massive hugs all round. In the taxi we all get and the driver and Thhhhomas gabbed all the journey to the hotel!!!

dizzymare · 21/09/2009 23:15

Is there any hugs spare

I'm shit

curiositykilled · 21/09/2009 23:15

What is the house you want in Fali like? I have limited experience with 'abroad' so wouldn't know about Fali having a 'rep' lol. We went to Kos when I was 14 and did a day trip to Turkey. Found the Greeks much nicer than the Turks, went to Bodrum and the market was scary, everyone jostling you and asking to buy me , never met a nasty greek in my extensive 14 day experience! All very helpful, loved children, made us feel welcome. We had only been on holidays in the UK before that so you could feel the difference in attitude towards children immediately. Everywhere we used to go in the UK I was aware people thought we were a PITA, being 6 of us, and everywhere we went in Kos people said what a beautiful big family and wanted to make us feel welcome.

frumpygrumpy · 21/09/2009 23:16

Talk dizzy

shabbapinkfrog · 21/09/2009 23:17

I can see 'my' house from the front of the hotel - it is about 10 mins walk from the hotel and is a massive two floor detached house - I have only seen the second storey because it has trees all around it LOL - I might hate it if I saw the bottom half

Dizzy - whats up?

dizzymare · 21/09/2009 23:21

Oh you know, stuff.

Stuff I can't really even talk about on here which doesn't help

I'm just shit scared, with feelings I don't like.

Curiosity ((hug))

frumpygrumpy · 21/09/2009 23:23

dizzy, IME, not talking is the first step to crazy. Talk on the phone, talk via email, just TALK to someone, in some way. Sleep easy xxxxxxxxx.

shabbapinkfrog · 21/09/2009 23:25

Did Zippys birth announcement make you have the wobbles last night? It did me! I am so overwhelmed and happy for her but for quite some time I hovered between mild envy to extreme jealousy Seeing her news made my heart sing for her and made my heart plummet into some strange place. I hope this wont offend anyone, most of all Zippy, but I was, quite frankly jealous of her little lads - how pathetic is that? xxxxx

curiositykilled · 21/09/2009 23:26

dizzy - can you not talk about it on here? Is it a twin thing or an unrelated thing? I notice from your chat thread a couple of people know? Are they around to talk to?

OP posts:
dizzymare · 21/09/2009 23:26

shabbs can I email you.

shabbapinkfrog · 21/09/2009 23:26

Oh shite the minute I pressed 'post message' I thought twice about my silly attitude. NO OFFENCE WAS INTENDED TO ANYONE AT ALL sorry Zippy and the Zippettes - it made me remember just how special being a multiple Mummy is xxxxx

dizzymare · 21/09/2009 23:27

No their not

shabbapinkfrog · 21/09/2009 23:27

Go for it Dizzy - no probs xx

dizzymare · 21/09/2009 23:29

curiositykilled · 21/09/2009 23:32
