Matthew was 29 last July, seems amazing that he can be almost 30, I do feel he is grown up, where ever he may be. I can`t say, "he would be", he is!

silentnightnotatripletinsight · 22/12/2008 23:38

How lovely to have Lewis first thing Christmas morning, I just peeped at your pics again to see if there were any news ones, he has the biggest eyes !

silentnightnotatripletinsight · 22/12/2008 23:39

Oh.........what happened to Oli?

pinkfrogsroastingonanopenfire · 22/12/2008 23:43

I thought he was around 30. Everlongs son took his own life - she is doing well for such a short time of grieving but we all know about the Elanor Rigby face dont we

Lew is a joy....very quick and strong (better word than stubborn!!) he knows us now - thank God. There was a time along the way, that I thought he would never know us or us know him. One of the pressies I have got him is a white all in one suit with a snowmans scarf printed on it and snowman buttons - it has a little hat with a knotted top to match. It is the cutest of cute things!!

We will take loads of pics over Christmas and send them to you xxx

pinkfrogsroastingonanopenfire · 22/12/2008 23:44

I dont know what Oli did - I cant ask - she has just fitted in with the other bereaved mummies and is lovely. I think she likes hearing my stories about Matt and Gareth because they are now older xxx

silentnightnotatripletinsight · 22/12/2008 23:46

Poor thing...............these first Christmass etc are so hard. I went to the kids carol service in the church, wasnt really listening to them, just sat there wanting Matthew, churches always make me sad.

pinkfrogsroastingonanopenfire · 22/12/2008 23:47

Everlong has just come on the bereaved mums thread now - she is asking about your H xxx

silentnightnotatripletinsight · 22/12/2008 23:56

Spooky! I have just sent her a message. D`y know where she lives? I should hit the sack, keep waking up with a bad back, need that holiday in the sun, stretched out on a beach somewhere near Faliraki, with the lovely Nikos to rub in the oil............... after you first of course!

pinkfrogsroastingonanopenfire · 23/12/2008 00:00

Yes she lives in Saddleworth - quite close to us. She sounds just the lovliest lady and we have exchanged email addresses. xxx

at Nikos and sun cream

silentnightnotatripletinsight · 23/12/2008 00:02

I am off to bed, going to the cemetery tomorrow, like it to look nice for Christmas Eve.................but dread it.

Good morning girls xx

piximon · 23/12/2008 10:03

Morning all. Night of fun with dts taking it in turns to wake up and scream all night. Had them all up, bathed and dressed by 8, gone are my allusions of leisurely lie ins over the xmas hols.

No plans for today, should be shopping for groceries but just can't carry it home on the bus with all the children in tow. Thankfully I have a veggie roast and some veg in the freezer so I can rustle up a dinner on thurs.

Can't believe I thought dh was off this week and we'd have ample time to get everything done. Instead he's not due till around 7pm tomorrow evening if there's no traffic. Usually on xmas eve he puts dcs in bath while the elves bring the dcs new pjs and hot chocolate with squirty cream. Then we read Night before Christmas and they go to bed. I'm not sure he'll make it in time and can't figure out a way to do it by myself.

Have just dropped a card and tiny gift to my elderly widowed neighbour, she was so grateful. I do so love this time, but I'm really finding it a struggle this year. Hopefully I'll catch the excitement bug tomorrow, seem to catch every other bug going!

Ah Ruby, bathing the dcs/reading not so much the problem, although a bit sad without dh, it's the elf (who jingles bells while working) preparing the hot choc and leaving out the pjs whilst all dcs out of the way in bathroom, that's the problem.

You can have my H Pixie - he's a wonderful bloke in other peoples company.

Each Christmas he wants to say 'I miss the boys' 'I feel down in the dumps' and instead a torrent of nasty words fall out of his mouth to me.

Ladies - Im sure you already do but teach your DS's its ok to have feelings and to say them and they should always cherish their partners. There may be nighmare on Grant Street if this carries on

Mars dh not answering his phone so I sent him a text. Now I'm intrigued, but hoping you've not been naughty.

Shabs, if you say it to him how does your dh react? My dh also bottles everything, I'm still waiting for the fall out from loosing his mum, FIL is exactly the same, although better as he gets older so I'm hoping it'll rub off.

Momma have a great time in the big smoke. I can't believe how quickly the time has come around.
