accordiongirl · 06/07/2008 22:32

Hello everyone! Hope your maypoles are maintaining their erections today. Long time no pootering, been trying to get to bed at a godly hour. And... staying in a nice hotel in the middle of the week kept me off the streets pooter too.
And oh it was lovely, especially the breakfast in bed and lay-in part. Sigh.
Just spent three hours getting pink twin with minor head cold to sleep, nursing my own snotty nose.

Upcoming challenge on tuesday - accordion girl's accordion concert! Playing a solo [cover your ears emoticon]
Next day - family holiday on the isle of wight with DTs and my parenties, only mum went and booked a house that's a bit too small so we're having to take a tent as well. Don't know who we're going to put in it yet...
Oh and big big news is that blue twin finally started walking this weekend!!! Pink one did it four months ago at 14 mos, was beginning to wonder if the boy would ever make it off his chubby bum. It's so funny to see isn't it? You just look round and think oh, he's walking over and then do a massive double take!

accordiongirl · 06/07/2008 22:42

And some other things:

TOH remember that so well, it's awful, my ribs felt as if they were cracking open.

Pixi you just haven't found your house because you haven't found it yet. I mean, you always think think that you'll never find the place and then you blink and you've been living there five years.

Tigger - what do you mean you've never had a hangover? Maybe you've just never drunk enough?

RRR hello! We've got weeks in our family where all the birthdays come together. Hectic eh? And now the DTs have their birthday on Xmas eve, it's all a scrambled mess!

xxx to everyone else. And thanks to the roundup person! [ra-ra hats orf emoticon]

accordiongirl · 06/07/2008 22:44

Thanks for plumping up the cushions Shaz! Shame that I'm the only one sitting on them.
Re-plumps and heads for off switch on self and pooter.
Night all! x

triplets · 06/07/2008 23:27

Bet you are all in bed! I should be but feel wide awake. Started to get supper ready at 4pm by putting chicken in the oven, got stuck into the tennis and finally ate after 9pm!!! Brilliant match and my boy from Mallorc won..........bravo! Spent the last hour packing pillowcases for the trio tomorrow, all have to go to school dressed as WW2 evacuees, bless those teachers
Dh very tired today after round 2 of his chemo, so I have been a good girl and tidied up all the garden, trouble is when I get a pair of shears in my hands I go mad, DH was not as pleased as I thought he was going to be! lg&t, a pink one, how wonderful, just peeked at your profile again, what a handsome crew you have xx Not much news from my old mucker today, what d`y think she is up to girls?

snorris · 06/07/2008 23:33

Hiya Trips!
I'm still here-not much good at witty banter though, sorry .

triplets · 06/07/2008 23:44

Hi snorris................how are you? Its too late for wit, my head is going round and round at the moment, thats why I can`t sleep, I get an average of 4 hours good sleep a night! How are all the horses? My best friend in Cornwall is shortly and sadly soon going to have to re-home all her animals, inc ponies and donkeys, sheep, cows, dogs and pigs!

triplets · 06/07/2008 23:54

Must away to my bed, sleep tight everyone, and that incs you Shabs, thats if you`re in yet!!

snorris · 06/07/2008 23:58

Ponies are great thanks. Very tempting to go out and ride but my sensible head says not to. What a shame about your friend,dt2 is donkey mad. A friend borrowed her to ride one at the New Forest show last year.

My sleeping pattern is all over the place. I tend to wake up at a stupid time and can't get back to sleep, then if I'm lucky I'll get a snooze during the day (like today ) then I end up staying up til late.

snorris · 06/07/2008 23:59

Night, I'll be off soon.

shabster · 07/07/2008 07:22

Good morning girls. Why am I up so piggin' early. Bolton council wont let my friend Chellester act on our behalf for the house. Once they have sent the letter out you have 7 days to accept the property. Worse case scenario is that they have already sent out the letter. Gloria (Triplets best Greek friend) is going to email them this morning, in private, in her office!!!! Then, as she says, 'no nosey, drunken teenagers, can read over my shoulder!!!

Fingers crossed everybody that they will hold the offer till the 14th July.

Hope you are all ok.

ChopsTheDuck · 07/07/2008 07:46

shabs, couldn't they fax it to you at the hotel?

Hello everyone!

accordiongirl · 07/07/2008 11:26

Hi everyone. Do you mean you're tempted to do nightime horse riding snorris? Sounds dead romantic. You might hit your head on a branch in the dark. Or miss the horse altogether and end up riding a cow or sheep by mistake. (arne't there lots of these kinds of things in the country?)

Pink twin up puking up snot for half the night. Feelin very guilty cos left her to cry and didn't realise she was lying with her head in her own spew for an hour or two. [GUILT emoticon] She seems OK now but her hair's a bit pongy. Actually it looks fab - maybe spew is actually a really good hair product. One hundered percent natural ingredients. Can you see it catching on in the Body Shop. Must go - Chow!x

snorris · 07/07/2008 11:52

Night-time horse riding could be interesting! I don't know that my pony would appreciate being woken up to go out though . Not many cows or sheep round our bit of the countryside-everywhere seems to have horses!!

Ew at the snot-mind you this is the person who can sleep through babies crying . I've lost count of the number of times dh woke me up to feed a screaming baby.

MarsLady · 07/07/2008 12:29

Hey all.

Completely knackered with horrid head cold here. Trying to pack for DD1 who is off to Paris for the day on Tuesday (4.15am at Kings Cross yuk!) then off to Canada on Wednesday (9am at Heathrow yuk!)

DD2 went away on her annual weekend camp and came home exhausted and dirty. Great fun had there then.

Got a letter from DS1's school talking about entry to 6th form. He's just finishing Y10. They like to prepare you. So now I have to find work experience for him oh and buy him a dark suit for September.

The DTs are being rather lovely at the moment. My desire to adopt them out seems to have passed. They are so excited about starting school in September.

Just need to eat a quick bit of lunch and then it's back to the packing! How much stuff can a teenage girl pack?

accordiongirl · 07/07/2008 20:12

Oh, I've just worked out that there's an HM, an FG and an HMFG. Er, fill me in - is this on purpose? Just checking that they are all different people... aren't they?
