No no Rubes you will need elvis and priscilla

My friend on the postnatal thread had just gone to her docs with menopause symptoms... baby due in March

largeginandtonic · 04/07/2008 22:30

Do you call him Prince in RL Pix?

No idea what this one is going to be called. Dh is plumping for Iolus, Willoughby, Rudyard and Julius. I am assuming it is a boy. I want Rupert, Linus or Arthur, he is having none of it. Of course he goes a way when the baby is two weeks old and doesnt return for 9 months so i could call him whatever i want

Evening all.................I am shattered, sat down finally about 10 mins ago! Why is my house such a tip? Spend all day cleaning, tidying, ironing, cooking, there must be some reward at the end of the day? No? Baked 105 fairy cakes for school fayre tomorrow and I havent even got time to go! Great weather here again today, hope its been the same for you all, nothing like Shabsters weather, all sounds fab, someone cooking for you? Glad to hear you sounding on a high Tigs, thats my Tigger! Hi Pix, hows you today? Feels as though Shabs has been away forever, I have to admit I am missing her, even though shes still on here!!! Homework is to learn more times tables, mine are absolutely hopeless at maths, all three, I have tried everything. Got three WW2 evacuee costumes to sort out for Mon, anybody got a gas mask I could borrow

triplets · 04/07/2008 22:38

estar · 04/07/2008 22:57

Hello all, I haven't seen you for two weeks! Glad to see there's only one new thread in the meantime. Our phone lines were cut off (pesky neighours cats) and DH has finally found the break and fixed it.

In the meantime, DS4 has begun climbing stairs, walking around furniture and finally has a first tooth (now 8 months old). Phew.

I gather from last weeks round up that Frumpy is away. Anyone feel like stepping in to update me on this week?

estar · 04/07/2008 23:04

Just read the update on parenting news. Sometimes I wish that the experts doing all these surveys would keep their mouths shut.

Apparently, "children whose mothers are depressed during pregnancy are more likely to have delayed development (Daily Mail 27.06.08)" and (presumably as a result of that depression) "Eating badly while pregnant or breastfeeding could cause lifelong health damage to a child." So everything I do from here on in is a waste of time - before they came out, they were already beyond help....

Night Trips. Sleep tight.
First night sleeping in our own room tonight. We have moved out of the nursery. Bet DP can't resist getting up for the boys 10 squillion times in the night. God he is so smitten with them.
100+ fairy cakes. Crikey. I wouldn't want to have to do that many. My BF reminded me when my two have 'baking' day at school I will be baking scores of cakes for them. I bet I come over all 'competitive mummy' and kill myself with the effort whilst the other slummy sensible mummies buy those naff ones from the pound shop .

MERLYPUSS · 04/07/2008 23:14

Me too Estar. I really went mad of Mcdonalds cheesburgers and mcflurries when pregnant. I was into ketchup in a big way and would have to burgers each day when I was at work.
Cheesburgers, pink milkshake < yakking emoticon>, lemon sorbet and icecream were my cravings. Often in the same sitting. I reckon one DT liked the sharp/sour stuff and the other the sweet.

Got to go to bed. So so exhausted!

HM's doing the roundup this week isn't she?

Momma, so glad you are finally getting somewhere for DT2 and that you have found a good paed. And that you have had a pat on the back - you certainly deserve it .

tkband3 · 05/07/2008 11:47

Ruby, we live quite close to the Arsenal stadium and it's not pissing down here (at the moment ). The forecast here was for rain this morning and fine this afternoon. Hope you have a lovely time .

Timesofhope · 05/07/2008 17:09

Afternoon! I'm trying to pass the time till the Doctor Who finale and also to take my mind of the constant kicking and moving my babes are doing right now!

I swear i'm gonna see a whole foot or hand popping out at me one day - they have really started pushing out against my belly in the last few weeks and it leaves my muscles aching at times!

Its nice to feel them all moving but there comes a point by the evening when you wish they'd take a break! I spend most of the day holding my belly while thinking that somethings gonna burst out of my stomach Alien-style!
