It was truly grown up and insightful for a lad of his age. Am completely impressed by it and you are rightly proud!

Ha Ha pmsl - never had sex on the beach with trips - well not this year anyway Jimmys bar is well before the beach anyway!! was going to mention a screaming orgasm but thought better of it

me and trips would make beautiful babies together anyway

MarsLady · 11/03/2008 23:52

Don't forget to post your breastfeeding stories on hunker's blog. Also any unhelpful advice given when you tried to bf your DTs etc.

shabster · 12/03/2008 06:19

O M G - It is sooooooooooooooooooooooooo windy here - Ive seen Marry Poppins fly by and some odd girl/woman with red glittery shoes on carrying a dog.

Its also freezing! Ha Ha

HM, Shaz, and especially frumpster - be careful - if any of you fly over the picturesque Bolton area we are in the end terraced house - the one with the pidgeons and whippets in the back yard.

shabster · 12/03/2008 06:36

I am being driven mad by GMTV!! Yes I hear you - get up and turn it off - no I roar I like being wound up.

Thankfully not the same windswept Brighton man now in Blackpool! They are all holding onto their hoods and hats and screaming over the winds noise

''I think you can see how windy it is.....(picture breaking up)...john stapleton saying 'I think the dish has blown off the top of the van' WELL STOP SENDING THESE NUTTERS TO COVER WINDY WEATHER

shabster · 12/03/2008 07:15

My DS1 knows me too well! He just texted me and said 'dont worry about me driving Emma to work and then going to my own work I will be OK - not going on the motorway. Will ring you from work when I get there'.

I woke up at stupid oclock cause the wind was so bad and then sat here thinking 'hope my grown up kids will be ok driving to work!!'

So proud of the pair of them. They both work full time, are kind people, laugh a lot, are 'growing' a lovley baby, buying their own house, just living a good life' When you read the newspapers and watch the tv news you realise how lucky you are with your lot. Im a very, very, proud mummy

Em is 27 weeks now - my heart is ready to burst cannot wait to be a first time Grandma - think trips is also looking forward to being an Honarary Grandma as well.

OMG I cant half waffle on xxxxx

ChopsTheDuck · 12/03/2008 07:21

shabs. Step away from the television!!

I hate it. There are too many trees round here. Up the school I can barely hear myself speak for the noise of the wind blowing through the trees.

Thanks for sharing Matthew's poem trips, he is a very talented lad. Did he write any more? Reading these, makes you realise, children sometimes have a lot more insight than we expect.

The boys are off to a trampolining birthday party today. Sounds interesting! Just hope they come home in one piece.

shabster · 12/03/2008 07:29

Morning chops - It is scary here this morning. Tomsters class are having a special afternoon - some loons are coming into school to do a play about Greek mythology and showing them loads of Greek stuff (that was very vague I apologise for that) so he is almost ready for school and very excited about the loons coming in. We have had to pay school 3 quid for the priviledge of the loons presence.

On the form it said it was a voluntary contribution - I tried to start a small mutiny by getting some of the others and myself to not volunteer our 3 quids but.....they are a group of softys who worry what the headmaster will say. Me? I am like James Dean - rebel without a clue!!

Now I am wondering how we get up the hill to primary without getting soaked to the skin or blown away - Oh well another day in paradise

ChopsTheDuck · 12/03/2008 07:36

It drives me nuts the school keep asking for money. It annoys me the way they harp on about being so broke, when we live in a very affluent area and the school has shedloads of cash, posh computerised whiteboard things in every classroom, tons of computers, massive playground musical insturments, etc... DD previous school had nothing, they were practically still using slates! I'd rather give my money to THAT school.

shabster · 12/03/2008 07:41

last year they went on a day trip to a place called Crompton Lodges. It is a lovley oasis in the middle of a very built up area. It has at least 100 swans milling about and can be a lovley HOUR out. Crompton lodges is ten mins walk from our house. We had to pay 2 quid per child for the coach to take them there!!!

I refused and said - 'walk them to C. Lodges it will do them good, for gods sake you can see it from the school' I got a look like this from the Headmaster

Dont even get me started on whiteboards!! What the hell is wrong with the old blackboard that you can pull and it goes round like a roller towel? Whiteboards

largeginandtonic · 12/03/2008 07:42

Momma the BODEN sale Please look out for some big boys baggies or shorts for me. Age 8-9. I would be eternally grateful and pop a check in the post straight away to you.

Dont worry if you cant just a thought. I love bright and bold

Morning everyone else, i cannot believe how fast the thread fills up an i think i know who it is ALL down to....

ChopsTheDuck · 12/03/2008 07:46

ooh I remember those blackboards! Back in the good old days...

Our lot, next year are going to Legoland!! It's only a few minutes down the road from me, lovely place, but it is hardly flipping educational! I'd rather spend £20 on taking them myself at the weekend.

shabster · 12/03/2008 07:47

Morning G&T - 'you talking about me' you cheeky bugger

I live a boring, sheltered life and Im one of those old biddies who wave to passing schoolchildren from my window.

I may be talking about you Shabs

Dont get me started on blardy school trips, dd just went to some Egyptian thing 2 hours drive away from school. They left at 8 and returned at 3, so hardly any time there and it was £16!!!!!

largeginandtonic · 12/03/2008 08:20

Good grief.. sales doh.

ChopsTheDuck · 12/03/2008 08:24

oh mine did the egyptian thing too. In London. At the musuem we had taken them to, three weeks earlier! I want to take them to the tuk exhibition at the o2 thingy. That looks really good. I'm debating about it for their bday, but not sure if they would be that impressed!

shabster · 12/03/2008 09:37

'Let the wind blow high, let the wind blow low, through the streets and away we go, all the laddies shout hello - Shabster where's your trewsers'

Dedicated to frumpster

shabster · 12/03/2008 09:39

I look like Worsel Gummidge - with his windy hair head on!! OMG its pigging windy out there.

Tomster linked me all the way to school. He was screaming with laughter at me cause I was screaching with fear of the wind still panting like a rabid dog after that experience.
