Night ladies - see you in the morning

chopster · 14/02/2008 07:44

Morning everyone.

aargh, can't believe I missed mars and momma on the radio!! mamma is posh?

galaxy, one of mine was def more active than the other. I could only sleep on one side, as Ravi - the active and grouchy one would kick like mad if I laid on his side - I suppose shay was on top of him. Can't remember how much weight I put on, I know it was a lot. Surely they aren't being weighed? I lost loads afterwards, I ate all day long but couldn't eat enough to keep up with the calories breastfeeding took.

chopster · 14/02/2008 07:59

just seent he other thread shabs. and . I can't believe anyone could be so selfish! I'm not surprised you had a rant, good on you!!

MarsLady · 14/02/2008 08:13

Shabby... I've been thinking about your son (with the baby due). Has he talked through his fear and anxiety with any one? Other than you I mean? I think it's important that he does.

He could talk to or email me if he likes. Part of the service that I offer as a doula is a birth de-briefing session. For some people this needs to take place before the birth. Of course he could go to someone more qualified in counselling etc. But I do think that it's important.

Morning MommaPoshBird! Hey Chops

Right... let me do the school run. [Arnie voice] "I'll be back!"

Thanks for your thoughts Mars. He does know a very good psychiatrist who has helped him in the past. Will tell him what you suggested.

Poor firstborn - at 20 wk scan he was only interested in his boys heart (cause his twin died from heart problems) the very kind lady scanned all the chambers and showed him everything she was doing - would like to track her down and thank her.

He said 'what if I am a rubbish dad', 'what if Lewis hurts himself and I cant stop it' - I am SO proud of him for caring and speaking about his fears. Think it is unusual in a man?

Thanks again mars x

shabster · 14/02/2008 09:05

Just skipped over to the other thread that I had a rant on - nobody on it?? Ha ha. Im not much of a shouter or angry person so when I do loose it most people listen with a shocked look on their face!
